Best Mountain Bike trails in San Antonio. So many places to go explore. Close to home.Watch for Deer and Snakes very clean organized and everyone is respectful and nice on trails. Carry your mask. There are a good amount of people using trails.

Super nice park if you are into walking, hiking, or biking. Wide variety of trails and walk/bike ways. The trails to the East run along a cliff and are recommended for experts only. The views along the cliffs are very nice. Near the parking areas you will find pavilions and play grounds (some closed because of COVID19). Plenty of deer especially in the evening just before sunset.

Its a great park for exercising walking riding your bike skating whatever youre into. But for you bike riders out there either get a bell or give people a heads up. When its obvious children are out there dont be a moron and shake your head. Walking pedestrians have the right away dont forget it please.

Its a great park to walk, only bad thing people who walk their dogs should pick up after their pets. Some leave their poop bag on the side of the walkway or sometimes your see where its fling up on a tree. Also when there are cyclists on the trail some do not slow down & go at a very high rate of speed!

My husband and I call this the on your left park There are too many bicyclist on the trial and every 5 seconds all you hear is them shouting, on your left. It gets annoying when your trying to enjoy a walk. This park does get busy fast so we try to enjoy the trials first thing in the morning to beat the rush. Overall, its a nice park!

Some areas are a little more tranquil than others but all together a great place to visit. Especially now during these crazy times you need a place like this to go and just take it easy.

O.P Schnabel is part of the Leon Creek Greenway and a great trail system for beginning hikers, cyclist and easy strollers. (There are dirt trails that feed off the main paved system.) Once there, more challenging dirt trails for advanced enthusiats are available. Be prepared to encounter wildlife of all kinds especially towards evening time. Remember that during summer months it stays very warm even in the evening. Concrete and asphalt surfaces remain hot and can harm your pets feet. Please remember to bring sufficienct water for yourself and your pet.

This is my all time favorite park in San Antonio! If youre bored go to Schnabel...if you want adventure..go to Schnabel...if you want peace and quiet...go to Schnabel. There is a kids playground for family events. This park reaches far and there is so much to see here. Ive been over 20 times and I still have not seen everything. After if rains it is absolutely beautiful and in the summer when water is scarce there are trees that provide shade. This is definitely a *must* see if you are a biking/hiking enthusiast. There are places to climb, walk, run, and any other activity you can think of. I will continue to come here till I no longer can.

Beautiful paved trails surrounded by nature and wildlife. This is a wonderful place for a city hike, run, or bike. I felt incredibly safe (since there is a police presence) and the people who frequent the trails are there to walk their pets, take a stroll with the kiddos, or get a little exercise. This park offers several trails miles in length with varying degrees of hilliness. Its a must for anyone craving an authentic outdoor experience without a long drive out of the city.

Absolutely love going out here. There are lots of trails to explore, a huge cliff area next to a dry creek bed you can walk around, and lots of wildlife around. This place has awesome playgrounds for kids, huge pavilions for parties, and the YMCA is out there too. Theres so much to do around this epic park. Want to bike, hike, or run? Theres all kinds of trails for each. Want to bbq and be near the woods, theres bbq pits with seating right by the trees. If you enjoy any of these things, nature, or exploring, check this place out!

Its a nice park and connects to Leon Creek Greenway. The park has facilities for family activities. It is also a good place to walk or run a few miles. The trail also has bike rights so a good place to go biking. I use it as a destination point from Mainland Trail head.. makes for good sweat from a nice run. If you are a Wizards Unite player there are several Inns. A couple fortresses and nearby greenhouses.

We love starting/ending at this park when running or biking the Leon Creek Greenway. It can get busy in the afternoons with sports and family events but generally there’s a lot of parking. And if you want to hang out with deer that are unafraid of humans, this is the place for you!Unfortunately with the rain over the last 3 days, a few of the routes were flooded this morning. Make sure to calculate that into your plans if coming out to O.P. Schnabel!

This is a hidden gem in San Antonio. It has concrete pathways which are good for casual walks and strollers, and the cities bike trail goes right through here! If you feel like some adventuring, you can easily stray off a regular path into the center of this park (where there are still dirt paths from many people) and you can see some spectacular views (check out my photos!) This Park must have been a riverbed at some point because there are a ton of river rocks here. It’s so peaceful and wonderfully shaded that even on a hot summer day where it’s 100 degrees, I hardly broke a sweat! There’s a kid playground, and plenty of concrete benches and places to rest in your own privacy for picnics. I definitely recommend coming here with family, friends and significant others!

Went here yesterday. We went for the trails. It took us a while to find where the trails actually began, as it was our first time coming. Overall had a great experience but I wish there were more signs to point out where the trails were.

Great place to walk and see wild life so many trails but be careful you could get lost and bring someone with you if not bring protection its a huge park things can happen between animals and other people. The park is beautiful and its mostly shaded. The bike trails are fun to walk as well but I dont suggest bringing young kids on the bike trails, but the other trails are perfect for kids. They have a very nice play ground a Big gazebo in the front by play ground and one on the trail. As well as a bunch of mini ones for picnics. I am not sure if they have public bathrooms Ive never used them I do know they have porta potties in a couple areas a couple water fountains as well on the actual park side.
