We took my nephew here, we all loved it. Next time were going to bring poles to go fishing, the pool was closed for the season but it was still awesome. The lake is beautiful and serene, theres plenty of space to hang out and still have space from other families, plus the playground had a toddler playground for my nephew as well. We will be going more often!

Work near here and theyve really fixed it up for the folks who attend/work at Our Lady of the Lake University. Plus, the community as a whole, who love to fish, walk, stroll, or use their kayaks on the Lake really enjoy themselves. Its really beautiful and yes, the Ducks are always there and so are a lot of other birds; theyre the main feature. Theres even a Duck Xing Walkway on the OLLU campus that traffic will stop for them to cross the way. So cute, and its a very picturesque walk in Elmendorf Lake.

We found this park on accident. We were just driving around just checking out our new city ( well we been here 5 months) and just happen to look to the right and bam!! There it was. Such a beautiful park. From the reviews it said there were alot of homeless people roaming around but we didnt see anything that made us feel uncomfortable. It was a beautiful day out here. We will most definitely be back

First of all, the lakes have a great size for a decent walk or jogg or anything.. they tried very hard to make this place as beautiful as possible. Dogs are allowed here as well as fishing. Parking is plenty and free. Here are the negatives. The park is in the ghetto. I saw a syringe between the path and the lake in the grass. There is trash everywhere. You will see sketchy people. Do not walk to the lower end. (By the concrete walls) it gets very sketchy there. The houses behind the fences are not appealing and their dogs in the yards arent either.

This is a great all-around Park which is conveniently located near to my home. This park is clean, well kept and exceptionally beautiful now. I have seen the conversion of this park for the past 35 years and what it has become is extraordinary compared to what it used to be. All in all the city of San Antonio Parks and recreation department has done exceptionally well in creating a wonderful place to take your family your pets or just go and spend time on your own.

I love a good scenic view and this is one of the great places in San Antonio that makes you feel like you are apart of nature. Great place to walk, ride, or just relax. Very peaceful and definitely worth stopping by.

It is a beautiful park with so many features. Playground, walking path, scenery, birdwatching and kayaking.

Kids love it here. Lots of ducks and fun to paddle in at sunset. Didnt see any signs against it and checked online as well, didnt seem to be a problem and the kiddos loved it.

The park is beautiful and clean. There are bathrooms available. The lake is clean. There are tables to have a nice little picnic with the family or friends. Children can feed the duck. There is a beautiful playground with tables for the family and friends to eat around and watch the kids. Apparently fishing can be practiced in this lake. In general, it is a beautiful place to take a walk. I do have something that concerns my family and me. I must say there can be homeless people around, that might be drinking alcohol or so We went around 4 pm on a Sunday, and we encountered a homeless smelling like alcohol. For me and my family this is a huge concern and something to consider before going there.

Beautiful park. Great place to fish, exercise, spend time with family. Only 2 gripes is i wish they would stock it with bass. And I wish police would patrol, see too many drug deals in the parking lot.

I love how everything has changed over the years. I havent been there in about 20 years and it looks so much better. Wonderful place to go for a walk and chill.

Its still in the barrio so just dont get caught slippin.And dont leave valuables on your seats.Its been cleaned up and fixed up, but just be aware of your surroundings.Its a very decent looking park now.

Pretty park with a trail, with several bridges and saw a few people fishing. It’s ok for a walk on the trail.

Beautiful place, pretty clean for the most part. They had ducks and geese roaming around freely that were not afraid at all to come up to us and get food. They had benches and BBQ pits. I saw a couple of people that were fishing. But dont know how the fishing is. There were some homeless people around but they werent bothering anybody. For the most part we had a great time and plan to go back. I would recommend this park to anyone.

Nice park, but needs work, the water was off so there was no way for kids to get wet on the splash pad or drink from the water fountains due to pool construction.Playground area needs better shade.More picnic tables would be nice.Restrooms were very dirty and there was No toilet paper!.

Breathtaking park. I highly recommend visiting this park when visiting San Antonio, especially if you live in San Antonio. Definitely a park worth the drive and visit from wherever you are located [while] in town. This park is certainly well-maintained and has spectacular views of the San Antonio River. I plan to come back very soon, without a doubt! The trees are also something special. The trees that line the park are often only found along the Riverwalk in San Antonio, so this is another area of town with these rare and spectacular trees that makeup this park’s beautiful landscape.

It was a great park! They have a obstacle course type play area that our older kids enjoyed.There is a splash pad and pool available. Plenty of benches, some shade. Could use more shade, especially in the play area.Heard multiple children complaining that the slides and swings were too hot . There is one toilet in the restroom near the playground. Wasnt too crowded when we went but I can only imagine how that would be on a crowded weekend. Other than that,no complaints.

It’s a great place to exercise. Two loops around the lake equals three miles. The playground is divided to accommodate toddles and older kids. The splash pad is a fun place to cool down. At the playground there is an area for calisthenics. If you don’t mind working out around families and kids, you will like it. The sidewalk offers lots of shade from the trees, places to fish, and picnic. The pool is free admission from 1:00-7:00 and offers free lunch for kids at 2:00. There are homeless that like to hang out at the park, and there is trash everywhere.

I had an amazing experience. I rode my bike to the park and then I flew a kite, attaching all my worries and problems to the kite and sent them up to God in exchange for peace of mind. God rewarded with a beautiful sunset!!! Take a look at the pictures.

ELP is a beautiful green space close to home and Our Lady of the Lake University and I enjoy having the chance to spend some time there whenever I can.

Scenic and just beautiful. Its a shame more people dont appreciate and respect a gem like this in our city. There was garbage strewn throughout the park. We showed up at 7:00 am on a Monday, it was empty until 8:00, then people started showing up. We enjoyed the quiet time alone.

Love this park!! It has a great play scape area with a bunch of activities and a splash pad to cool down in. Great place to have a birthday party or come to enjoy a day outside with the kiddos

Elmendorf lake swimming pool is going to be beautiful. This is another wonderful improvement to Lakeview Park. The work that theyve done so far is so beautiful. Im so excited and cant wait for the project to be completed. I plan to spend a lot of my time this summer theyre the pool. I look forward to meeting a lot of new people and seeing the laughter and the joy on everybodys face. San Antonio has again created and made a lovely park for everybody to enjoy. A nice place for a walk.

The park is very nice, the lake is also nice. The lake is regularly stocked with fish, so there are always fishermen getting their dinner there. If you play Pokemon Go, there are 3 gyms and 8 poke stops to collect from. And the kids seem to love the big playground. Also, for the summer months, a swimming pool was opened this past year, if thats your thing. Send the kids to the pool or the playground while you have a cook out at one of the numerous grills dotted about the place. There are also some outlets to plug your phone into if you need a charge. Thank you, city of San Antonio parks and recreation, for turning the place from somewhere I would be nervous to stay at after dark to a place I am happy to stay at all day!

Love this place for parkour!!! Me and friends come here and do flips and parkour and lots of jumps!!! Great place to workout and have fun at, very safe considering park police are always there on site!

Is a nice park but the only thing is there are a lot of homeless people there.But still they where people fishing and ridding bikes.Just stay away from the restroom very dirty and like I said homeless people.

Great place for some hot dogs, amateur fishing, or just sitting by the water with your dogs. Park was fairly clean and not over crowded on Memorial Day weekend.

Ever since the renovation, this has been a great place to come for a walk, bike ride, or to relax. But make no mistake, this is still very much in the West Side. Be wary of your surroundings, especially at night.

A great city park to enjoy a nice walk around the lake an to see the church at Our Lady of the Lake. Theres a pool and childrens park with splash pad on the east side of the park and lots of fishing spots along the shore.
