I would definitely recommend everyone from young explorers to all age inquisitive people to visit this place. We booked tickets for discovery tour and we got a guided tour by our tour guide Johnathan on the cave formations, history of these cavern discovery, efforts and interesting facts about explorers and excavation. It’s a clean, well maintained cavern that has pavement to walk and be ready to do some hike. It has high humidities inside. Come with covered toe shoes with good grip on wet surfaces. It’s about 35 minute to 40 minute tour. The guide will make multiple stops for his group to observe the formations, take pictures and rest. Enjoyed thoroughly!

From the time you arrive on the grounds of this place your overtaken by beauty and splendor. Once you reach the caverns you’re transported to another, amazing, incredible and inspiring world. The formations underground leave you with so much to think about and discuss. You are constantly in a state of awe at the wonder of this amazing underground world. Thank you Natural Bridge Caverns for proving such an amazing place to explore. It’s fun for the whole family not just the curious minds.

Our guides were amazing, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable.Climbing down a shift 160 feet then exploring off the main trail not for you? Check out one of their main tours and learn about the caves, see their beauty and experience true darkness! They also have an amazing adult jungle gym full of zip lining, adventure courses, and so much more!

The Caverns were beautiful and well maintained. In the COVID-19 era the employees maintained adequate precautions. Rating as a 3 though because I felt I did not get my money’s worth. The tour was set up to have a different tour guide for each room or stop on the tour. Most tour guides gave a quick 2 min speech for their area but failed to discuss anything beyond a brief explanation. I had to prompt several guides to talk about the formations (there are placards with names of each formation) or provide any education on the history, geology, or biology of the cave. I was part of a tour group of five so there was no reason to rush us. I overheard one guide talking to another about how he was glad it was the end of his shift. When I asked another tour guide about a stop he said he was just there so they (the company) didn’t get sued. Felt rushed and that there was no enthusiasm or interest about anything in the cave. I suppose it’s a good place to come if you have small kids with short attention spans but not worth the $30 adult ticket price for someone who actually wanted to learn something.

One of the great treasures of Texas. Make sure you wear good walking shoes! Budget an hour and a half for each tour. The facilities are well maintained and they are practicing the typical covid protocols. Tour space is limited, so you can buy tickets ahead of time. Staff is nice and knowledgeable including Matt, a Geologist, as tour guide. I will warn you. It isn’t good if you have any mobility issues. Lots of walking including steep stairs. Thanks for a great time NBC!!

The facility, Caverns, and activities are great!!! 3 stars is for the staff! We only came in contact with 1 staff that was actually nice! They seem extremely high staffed and I think most are assigned to be mask police. There is a difference in places that will explain to you that facilities mask policy and then a place like here- they were really rude in letting us know they want the mask over our nose at all times and we even got started down while outside without our masks on (they say to wear your mask in the caverns too). Main point is- staff should be nicer.

What a great place! The caverns are a wonderful, family friendly place to be part of your Hill Country or San Antonio vacation. Its educational, beautiful, and the people are super friendly. Most native Texans I know have visited, and if youre a new Texan or visiting from out of state, this place should be at the top of your visit list.

Spectacular showplace cave, perhaps the best in Texas. Havent been here in a few years, surprised to see theyre trying to turn the property into a miniature theme park with a big maze and one of those fake zip line things. Its like all the charm has been sucked out of the place. (What happened to the big dinosaurs out front that I have so many pictures of with my kids?) The cavern lighting is MUCH improved since my last visit.

If you are looking for a very commercialized but cool cave tour, this is the one for you! The pros: the caverns were large and theres a decent amount to explore; there are a ton of cool cave formations to see; theres multiple activities you can do at this one place, and you can buy package deals to save money; a guide in the caves means you can learn cool facts; its well lighted, so you dont have to bring any gear or anything. Cons: its super commercialized feeling; the tour goes pretty quick, and I was one of the last people in each room every time, and the lights got shut off on me several times...I wanted more time to look for sure, but the tours are scheduled back to back with only ten minutes between; as a person at the back of the group, it was very difficult to hear everything the guide was saying, so I missed a lot of the cool facts. I think I personally prefer unguided cave exploration with informative signs, or ranger-led tours in the parks, but this was not a bad option and was still very fun. I think it was about $30 a head when I went in 2020, which is a bit spendy in my opinion for what you get. The complex its in also had cute attractions, live music, a decent gift shop (though we couldnt find any normal post cards, only holographic ones for $3.99), and a small butterfly garden.

Well worth a trip. I just hope you can visit when the park isn’t so busy as it was on Saturday 3rd October 2020. I enjoyed the tour and especially the caves. Also enjoyed the park - the mineral hunting was a lot of fun and my boy was excited finding fossils minerals.BUTI was very very unhappy with the lack of social distancing. The owners need to be more aware. A mine tour on Saturday afternoon (3:50) was maybe 30 people. Not at all acceptable. I was very angry. The Texas State ought to be policing how businesses operate.I was also unhappy at the quality of the information provided by the tour guide. There should be more effort to provide basic - high school level information. The tour was not serious enough in my opinion.

Stunning place to visit if you are interested in caverns. Tour lasted around 75 minutes and there were plenty of opportunities to take pictures. The discovery tour had a lot of steep inclines and paths to walk up and down so I wouldnt recommend it if you have any knee or walking issues. Also its pretty humid inside the cave and with the current mask ordinance it makes it harder to catch your breath. Overall though I enjoyed it and would say that it was worth the money.

Of all the caverns in the San Antonio area, Natural Bridge Cavern has the nicest welcome center and grounds. This is a very nice place to just come and walk around even if you don’t want to tour the cavern. However, I strongly suggest you tour the cavern. Wear non-slip shoes as the path can be wet and very slippery. Be used to walking up and down hills as some of the walkways are steep. With an 80° heat index and 99% humidity, it can be a little hard to breathe through a COVID mask. The caverns themselves are beautiful and well worth a visit. The guide seemed to be on a strict time schedule as we did feel a bit rushed in areas. In some places, lights were turned off before pictures could be taken. There is a gift shop and a café along with seating inside and out. For a day. Or just a few hours, Natural Bridge Cavern is a great place to go.

A definite MUST if youre in San Antonio. You HAVE to do the Discovery tour. I also did their Hidden Passages tour and it wasnt as good as the Discovery tour but Im still glad I did both. The Hidden Passages tour can be kind of strenuous because you have to climb up the steep steps you walked down. Not the easiest task during COVID and you have your mask on. Make sure you wear shoes with rubber soles because the floor can be wet and sometimes slippery. All the floors are paved though so you wouldnt slip anyway but better to be safe than sorry.

Caves are a must see!!They will not work with you, if you arrive late! Make sure you give yourself time to be early. The obstacle course is not as big as it looks on the website but still fun. Our tour guide did not pause long enough to let people get into each entrance before talking. I feel like our group was too big. unfortunately we ended up middle to back of the group and by the time we got up to each thing the guide was talking about she would shut off the lights to that section and move on to the next.

About $25 / person for 45 minutes, definitely worth it! The staff was great, equipment was in perfect condition, and course was a lot of fun. 10 year old, 13yo, and 38yo all had fun!I don’t think it’d be worth it to come from out-of-town for the ropes course/zip lines alone, but for a local it was worth the drive. The cavern tour my parents and I went on was very cool. Our trou group was only about 10 people, which was nice. Our tour guide, Catherine, was excellent! We chose to do the Hidden Pathways tour. We hiked the stairs into the cave, saw amazing formations, we experienced complete darkness—can’t see your hand in front of your face. Nothing.— it was awesome. Just had to trek up the stairs back to the top. There were two small children in our group (around 3 and 7 years old) who did just fine and really enjoyed it. Very family friendly, but you know your family and what will work for them. The tour itself was a little over an hour. It was around 70 degrees in the cave and 99% humidity. So the temperature was comfortable, you do not need a sweater/jacket. Wear good shoes that have grip, since it can get a bit slippery.Highly recommend this place!

The cavern is a spectacular experience and a sight to see!! Majestic natural sculptures and huge rooms!! Almost a mile long and although its cooler, it is 99% humidity. I didnt give 5 stars because as much as we wanted to hear the tour guides give their stories, they spoke way too fast to let us really hear. Its like they didnt care. First time being at the caverns. It was very nice and informative. I was most definitely in disbelief by how deep underground we had to travel. If you like natural beauty and awe inspiring nature then this is the place for you. The ancient Natural Bridge Caverns gets its namesake from the natural bridge formed over the cave entrance as you walk in. The caves are massive, featuring many distinctive rock formations (my personal favorite being cave bacon) and underground vistas perfect for a photo op or just a quiet side trip. Their are many different treks available including a spelunking adventure through tight crawl spaces and narrow crevasses. The walk the the caverns is self guided with a staff member at each landmark to explain to you its significance. Once finished with the caverns there is a gift shop and welcome center, with a smaller gift and restaurant. If you want to ascend to clouds there is also a climbing course available for dare devils out there. Overall I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Went here so our kids could do the tyke zipline. While the course and facility were excellent the staff and service was terrible. Immediately when approaching the area to purchase tickets for the zipline the staff working all seemed in really bad moods. When dealing with kids a staff needs to be light and fun but these employees were very cold and unwelcoming. This put damper on the entire experience and because of it we said we would never come back. There are a lot of places we go and the product might not be the best but the service is great so we come back. This place suffers from having a great product but a staff (at least at the zipline) that ruins the experience. This was made even worse considering we were the only ones at the zipline.

I really enjoyed my time here! I thought it would be a good socially distant activity during COVID. My group of 2 people booked the Combo Tour package with the Hidden Passages tour starting at 10:20. This tour was awesome! Our tour guide Josh (dark haired Josh bc there are several Josh’s) was fantastic. This tour was pretty small, maybe only 10 people. I would recommend the Adventure Hidden Passages tour though, we didn’t know about this when we booked but apparently you get to repel down and go spelunking through the cave. It sounded awesome. After the Hidden Passages tour we were booked on the 12pm Discovery Tour. This tour was not as good. It was a huge group - maybe 40 people - and there was no social distancing. Not all of the people were wearing masks and our tour guide (not Josh) didn’t seem to care about enforcement. It was hard to hear the tour guide because of the setup of the cavern (you just walk through in one giant line most of the time) and the large group of people. The cavern was awesome though, truly breathtaking. There are also a TON of other activities you can do around the facility, you could easily spend a whole day there with kids. While the social distancing aspect/COVID precautions were slightly lacking, I would still highly recommend!

Like transporting yourself to prehistoric times! I swear the only thing missing was animals and cave people! Very gorgeous natural rock formations everywhere you look. Super easy to walk as the entire way is paved. Get ready to sweat, literary! The deeper you get the hotter it gets. We went in the winter and it felt like 80 degrees inside! Top it with the incline and long walk, and you will be removing layers until you are at the minimum. Bring water or make sure you drink before you start. Be ready for a lot of pictures as there are just too many places for photos. Absolutely loved the caves.

Bought the combo tour pass and the caverns were beautiful. For the hidden passages tour we had Drew as our guide and he was excellent, he went at a steady pace for our whole group and gave us plenty of time to take pictures and look at everything. Maya was our tour guide on the discovery tour and she talked fast, parts of our group hasn’t even caught up to hear what she was saying. We were in the back and by the time we caught up to see what she was talking about she had already flipped the lights off and we didn’t get to see or hear many of the details on the discovery tour.It was definitely worth doing we were just a little bummed out about the second tour not being the same fun pace where everyone got to see everything like the hidden passages tour.

Lots of fun. A pretty good walk through a warm and humid cavern. Really cool to see all the subterranean formations.

This place is a fun spot to visit. No need for a jacket because the humidity is in the 90 percent level. There are three different tours to choose from (see the website). We took the 75 minute tour. Didnt get dirty but wear comfortable shoes. The ground can be slippery and steep. You travel 1 mile below the surface. You will see some amazing things and learn some geology on the tour. When youre finished with the tour, there is a little store to buy ice-cream, something to drink and souvenirs. Look online before you go to find a coupon. The tours are priced reasonably. Have fun.
