Great place to walk! Be careful to stay out of some peoples living room. Very scenic, and secluded. There are portacans at the entrances that were clean. There was trash, but there is trash all over San Antonio. Someone had sorted some of it. Thats cool. Ill get some bags one day and try to do my part. I tried to take photos of all the things that are not trash. Enjoy! It was beautiful and reminded me of the woods by my house.
This park used to be nice and little by little starter to feel less safe. Now, youve added Crystalline silica on the ballfield which has been classified as a human lung carcinogen. Breathing crystalline silica dust can cause silicosis, which in severe cases can be disabling, or even fatal. The respirable silica dust enters the lungs and causes the formation of scar tissue, thus reducing the lungs’ ability to take in oxygen. So why did you add this to the park? Where children play? Sounds a lot like when houses used to have lead based paint, but no one will do anything about it unless parents start to step up.
Clean trail, always people walking or riding their bikes. Often see police on bikes as well. Fields are kept clean and grass mowed often. Have never seen overflowing trash cans and picnic tables and area are always clean when we go.
Its a nice soccer field, my only complaint is better directions to certain fields for out of town people.
Clean, class A retail center. Lots of construction in the area. Great addition to the surrounding area.
Very beautiful shaded park. Great for my son to walk around.
The scenic trails are nice and it was so great to be around nature in the raw woods with snakes, frogs, the creek, birds, and Hot Sun!! Places to rest are close by!! Love it!!
This park is pretty large with a nice walk area. The picnic tables were looking a little beat with paint chipping and overall pretty gross. Trash was full around 4 pm. This was later in the evening, but a lot of people were eating food in there cars. Id like to go back in the fall and see how it compares.
Nice little park area, small trail to the side, and nice big open field for kids to through a ball and play. There are a few (4-5) covered tables on one side for eating, maybe a small birthday area, but not really room for large groups. All in all, a fine park.
Aside from the football field, the trail is not very friendly. It isnt well marked informing you of which way to go and the well traveled foot paths are not apparent either.I do understand it is next to a Walmart and other businesses, however it doesnt provide reason for lack of signs.
Nice park with attractive trails through a wooded area and picnic tables under covered pavilions.
Always clean, nice trail run with shade from the heat. Worth fighting Culebra traffic to visit.
Nice place to hang out in the mornings. Not overly colorful but okay. Wish there were more flowers.
No playground for kids and the trails are not marked. But it was ok to walk around.
Pretty decent place for a walk/jog. Some of the walkways could use a little TLC.
Its Ben about 13 years says event that park it has changed. Added more fields and have really taken good care of it. Pictures of the bull Verde Rangers plan in the Alamo shootout tournament
Nice park that leads to Terra oaks Trailhead.
Could be a nicer park but does have alot of homeless in the area.
Lots of effort went into making this park. But unfortunately there is an issue with the trails. In certain parts people seem to just use the place to discard their trash. This is not through out the whole park and you have to walk some distance to see most of it, but really is this any way to treat our resources?
We love going there because we pick up pizza and we go to the park and enjoy it it is so nice
Dont remember exactly everything but it is where we pokemon go hunt so... yeah I guess it was fun
Nice quite place to walk or bike ride
Mean bad mom kev. Dog
Rough and hard walking path combines worst of unimproved and concrete paths. The river bottom had small ponds with minnows and catfish lurking.
Cant walk your dog or even park when you have these people working out, taking up BOTH parking spots on one side. GO HOME AND DO THAT. BETTER YET GO TO WORK! These people make it really hard to enjoy the park.
Love this park and the trails except for a couple of things. Will be great when it connects to the rest of the green belt. There are a fair amount of homeless folks living under the bridges at 1604 and aroma of marijuana frequently on the trail.
Enjoy this park, very big has access to walking trails as well.
Could be a nice trail, but lots of trash and homeless
The baseball field is not sanded and was muddy as all get up today from the recent rain. Further, this park is obviously grated towards soccer by the way the soccer fields are green, maintained and signed. It would sure be nice to see the same level of attention given to the baseball diamond.
Nice and quiet. Nice place for a morning run.
Nice little clean park that connects to the greenway trails
Awesome trail for the family.
Nice, clean, concrete trail crosses over to Alamo Ranch area
Its a nice little park with a walking trail
Husband & I love to take walks through Culebra Creek Park.
Nice place to eat food
Nice but creek is dry
Nice place, people do need to pick up after themselves though.. Would also be great if the little punk taggers stop vandalism out there as well.
Clean and quiet. Picnic tables and porta potties available. Also has several pokemon stops and room to run
Nice park, but there arent a giant selection of trails and offshoots for those interested in variety and moderate hiking. Still, a nice simple paved trail with about 60% shade coverage is good for a little run. The aforementioned trail goes under several overpasses, some of which have some raunchy graffiti, and camp supplies for some of our homeless population. Bikes, bags, supplies, pets, etc. in particular are under one of the underpasses, albeit about 30 yards away from the trail.
The park is not more than a large soccer field attached to trails that go east. Theres a handful of picnic benches that are covered at both ends of the field.
Sad no water not recommended for any water activities...
Great place for soccer and football practice
I loved this park
Love it. Nice paths, water on the side after a while, huge play field for any kind of field sports or dog play, or work outs. The hikes are great and the is a beautiful lay out.U will enjoy yiur time there for sure
Great trail walk in the early mornings, peaceful and relaxing.
Creek is dry as a bone right now. :(
The lady that made the tortilla soup sold me on two soup kits... it was so good!!...employees are very friendly and helpful!
Good place to explore with the kids
Lots of nice shady trails. Beautiful trails and after a rain the creeks have a lot water. Area is well kept. Best not to walk alone if you are female. Just saying...my wife said she wouldnt walk alone there.
Nice trail for run or walk, weather is hot if you came from Pacific, water is available at the end of any of the two parkings
I really hate coming here... Especially for tournaments... If youve been here... Youll know what I mean. Traffic getting here and parking suxs... So get here early if ya need to.
Nice day.
Too much activity going in the woods..
Trails are gorgeous but theres a lot of graffiti wherever theres concrete.
Great fields for company league play rental.
For a place this big...they should have better bathroom facilities... Boerne park is smaller and much nicer
Lots of space to play soccer with my son, lots of room for my dog to run, and run
Decent place, very little shade though so bring a hat if you are going to be there for a while.
Close to the bus stop, and Alamo Ranch, have 2 portable potty.
Pretty nice trails. Maps could be more clear. Wouldnt come after or near dark
Fun little park for dogs and people. Different groups doing different activities and hobbies
Fields are a little lumpy in areas and some need leveling. I have seen worse.
Nice park with great soccer fields.
Fun, small park for quick trails.
Good place
Great soccer fields but the fields on the 1st part of the park have too many holes
The hiking trails are gorgeous and theyre suitable for all ages. Its absolutely incredible
The fields are good but during tournaments parking can get kinda scarce.
Its a nice field. Seems to be busy with sports practices, but nice. I found myself wishing there was playground equipment for my son to play on while my older son was practicing, but that was minor. The field is well maintained and the pavilions are decent.
Nice park with access to the trail system. Trash does seem to be a problem, unfortunately.
Nice other than the influx of homeless people. Great for bike riding on the trails.
A lot of trash everywhere.
Used to be nice small park. Now starting to be a homeless encampment. Ive run into a dozen or so along the foot trails, my dog almost stepped on a used needle. They have trashed the woods.
Fast clear stream was inviting me to wade. But I have only just begun to explore........
Much better than the average SA park. At least the pitches were somewhat maintained.
Surreal lol wooded nook.
Went on the short bike trail here. Perfect distance for the kids to ride and not get tired.
Fun and great place to play football, soccer, and baseball.
Saw lots of deer tracks and a couple bunnys. Nice creek and off path exploring. Despite being surrounded by the busy streets of everyday life in culebra this place seems secluded and almost an escape
Very clean. Nice place to just relax.
Nice place for a picnic
Its was good but masqitos came out started getting bit around stagnet water
As long as your not sitting or standing and just keep walking its ok but too many ants. Theyre everywhere.
Nice trails, will need to come back to see the rest of the park
Ok park, really needs to be cleaned up more.Homeless seem to be at the park a lot, I think they are living in the back nw of the park.
Love this place!
Nice fields - good condition. Restroom facilities are hit or miss and the parking for tournaments is insufficient
Nice trails, well laid out. A good place for a walk.
Today was the first time Ive been. It was a really nice trail, I really enjoyed it. I just wished it had some lighting it got dark on me, it was a little scary when it got dark. A few lights would be really great.
A great place to gather with your kids n family
Nice park, quiet with restrooms, picnic tables, ample parking spaces, walk/ bike trail where I saw bikers, and people walking...
Huge park. Need to bring my dogs here.
They have added homes next to the soccer field.
Nice place to take a walk on a nice cool evening
