Very nice nature park, especially for older people who just want to relax and enjoy the scenery, plenty of picnic spaces.There is a playland for little ones too.There is a lake, I saw a few people out fishing.There are a few ducks you can feed and watch.This park is perfect for riding a bike or walking/jogging.

This is a good place to catch the South section of the Salado Creek Trail. The trail runs North for about 11 miles to Binz Engleman Road next to Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC).Unfortunately, the trail does not connect to the North section of the Salado Creek trail. That section runs North from Petroleum Street located just North of BAMC to Eisenhower Park.This trail compared to others in the City is fairly flat and enjoyable.

Kids love this park.. and I enjoy sitting on the bank and casting a line.. listening to some tunes and thinking of nothing.

Always love the trails here. On a short 3 mile hike usually travel the trails behind Southside Lions thru the 1st Comanche Park and back. Towering canopies of green trees, the running creek, rock hills, and a variety of foliage makes for a serene outing.

Came fishing. Beautiful, peaceful... It doesnt even seem like youre in the city at all. We will be returning!

I love coming here to run the lake loop and Greenway trails. I always see people out fishing too. It is usually clean and feels pretty safe during the day. The porta potties are usually gross so plan to use the bathroom before you go.

Good my sister and I went there to relax and catch up since its been years since we had spoken. So we enjoyed the outing and walking track.

I love to take walks through this trail. There are multiple water crossings and nice scenery. The park is kept fairly clean and there is usually someone from the park there working on something. Plenty of people walking, jogging and riding bikes to feel safe. I visit here a few times a week.

Lots of shaded area. I really havent had too much luck at this pond but its something fun. I have only caught 1 small catfish out of the 2 times Ive been out.

Shade in bunches, great views, relaxing walking/biking paths, rarely crowded.

THIS is the area to come to. Stay away from the pavilion side with the playground.This section has trails and creeks. Its so peaceful. Our family loves the trails and the kids enjoy climbing over boulders and trees and exploring. When the weather is good you can see a variety of animals!Remember to take your trash to the bins near the park roads

Very nice and relaxing place. They have walking/biking trails that go around the lake with ducks to feed, picnic areas, playgrounds, and plenty of fishing spots.It would be even better if people had any respect for their town and surroundings and didnt leave trash all over the place like morons. There are trash cans like every ten feet. Dont be a worthless waste of space and drop your trash on the ground when it would literally be less than 10 steps to get to a trash can from any point in the park.

Love taking my morning/evening walks there.

Great place to fish I give it 4 stars only cuz there is quite a bit of trash not a lot but enough to notice I clean and pick up what I can we all got to do our part

I absolutely love this park the pond is bueatiful and lovely to look you can also fish catfish out of the pond they put catfish like every 4 weeks I believe they also have a walking trail inside round loop at the park you dont have to walk in the street you just walk in the inside of the circle and you wont get hit by a car or anythg but over all its very relaxing being in this park there is lots of bueatiful trees and alot of ducks and the safety of it is good the park cops are always in and out so thts good its good for your family to just go out for a bbq or for Birthday parties aswell the most favorite of all about this park for me is the trails I love to jog these trails and they extend for quiet sone time so if you love to jog or walk the trails are lovely alot of big trees and the salads creek is running thur them alot of fish you can see and turtles very relaxing to jog or walk these trails and also when your down the trails there is cops on 4 wheelers on the look out. If you want to go to a park this park is it!!! For families for fishing for bbqs for get togethers for jogging running and walking or just to go relax and look at the water this park is the perfect spot to be in.

Its family oriented and the clean plus has a wonderful exercise area.The view and the trails.You will have a great time. Swimming, exercise, trailing & playground areas. Basketball court, baseball, etc.

They really need to trim the trees and shrubs around the back. I went out to exercise and someone could easily hide out in all the overgrowth.

A little muggy muddy and drizzly all in all good park they got restrooms however the stocked fish they get weekly tends to get eaten by the ducks freakin ducks you can catch maybe a footlong catfish they got bass trout carp and also i heard an alligator gar bout 6ft who knows if the local guy tellin the truth though

Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. they have a man made lake with ducks and geese. they have a water spout. gazebos you can rent. very peaceful. They also have a walk/bike trail the takes you to another park several miles away called the Comanche park. I use to go to this park all the time when i had a vehicle but the number 28 bus stops in front of it.

Great place for fishing and the trails are also great for running and bike riding. Family fun at a clean park is always a good experience! The cat fish are pretty big also, I have not been able to catch a bass to date.

I love going to the park so much. For me I go to relax and enjoy fishing there. I usually go early in the morning and then later on in the evening. Ive met so many interesting people. Im retired and go-to the park almost 7days a week.

Nice, clean when I was there, family place with play grounds.

Love to put in my steps at this place. Beautiful scenery well shaded aligned with trees for miles. The path is amazingly well designed. Lake is an added bonus with ducks. But, dont get to friendly with the cuz they are protective of their young.

Great park!! Big wide open lake, just if the city would do some tree trimming would make the whole fishing scene better..

Great place to go for a walk or jog around the track which wraps around the pond. The pond is stocked with catfish and trout. Trees surround the area so there are places to be in the shade. Please remember to pick up after yourselves.

This is one of the nicest parks in San Antonio. For those of us who like bicycling its the southern terminus of the south segment of the Salado Creek Trail. Theres a lake that lots of people like fishing in. Lots of Open Spaces and a kids playground.

Nice place to BBQ, fishing wasnt that great but we were there in the middle of the afternoon and the river is filled with catfish and bass. Swimming pool area and hiking trails, lots of trees for shade.

Love going to this park. Take the dogs walking, practiced some driving, walked the trails. Very peaceful, clean and family oriented.

I love this country style park. It is lovely and the lake nearby to catch your eye. I love how everything about it makes it feel like you are in the country. I hate for people to treat it bad by leaving trash and dirty especially drunk stinky fisherman and their families. Other than that there is more to see inside the Salado Creek which is adjacent to the South Side Lions Park. Respect the park, keep it clean, have fun with your families.

South Side Lions Park awesome park on the south side.Been coming to this park for a long time.It has changed and improved thru the years just keeps getting better.Its allways maintained very beautiful park.And if you like fishing biking walking jogging bbqing taking the kids for some fun in the sun this is the park.Check out the trails at the back part of the park and go for a walk.
