Great morning of golf. A little slow play but the easy breeze made up for that and the humidity that tried to ruin our round. Greens are a tad slow but still always fun to play this course. Played along/joined another single and a father/son twosome. Very enjoyable group. Give it a try

Coming off the cold weather season the course is in pretty good shape. Fairways are a bit thin on grass so if you get a lot of roll, youll get more here. A few risk/reward shots. Greens were running true and smooth today. Staff is friendly, pro shop has good selections. Its a short course, from the tips maybe 6,400. No driving range on premises. But there is across the street. Give it a try

Super Lame website for tee times. Registration program flat out doesnt work. Then there is no number to call to get through to correct that problem or make a tee time. What could be worse than that. They have had this problem on the website for several months. I thought they would have fixed it by now. Guess not. Government workers - no wonder. When I tried to get them to set it up at the course when I paid for my Level II membership. They said just go online we have your info in the computer. COMPLETE BLOW OFF. So Im at home and the registering isnt working still. Thanks Mayor Nirenberg.

Two stars because the course is nice and the rates are decent. Huge drawback is the wait on carts every time Ive decided to play an Alamo Trail course. And if they have a tournament the day you play, get ready to wait 30 minutes or more to tee off because they cater to the tournament thats going on.

I pretty nice course for the price you cant beat it! The club house was pretty cool and the course and rough were pretty well maintained. I think we caught the greens as they had just aerated them. They were a bit bumpy.

Fa
Review №10

Course was in decent shape except the greens were aerated so putting was miserable. Carts were cart path only which slowed us down. It would have been a much faster round if we had just walked. Renting a cart is a waste of time and money if it’s cart path only.

Great course for the area but the booking is a bit rediculous. Only having an 8 minute gap is not enough for some apparently because a 5 and a half hour round is way too long. We usually had to wait about 5 to 10 minutes at every teebox to play. And along with that you have to pay way to much for something like this to happen. Really not worth it whatsoever in my opinion, just play a cheaper course unless you dont have any better use for your time.

Overall Nice greens and I enjoyed the round. This is a challenging course for a beginner, it Super narrow with lots of water hazards and bunkers. My party was almost hit twice on the first nine due to how tight the course is. One big negative is hole 18 is a par 3 which was a letdown.

Paid $30.00 for 9 holes in the afternoon, and by the third hole the young staff without supervision removed all flags during our game! We asked them after we played 6 holes without flags why... They were rude, and mention that the Manager had instructed them to do so! I called the next day and spoke with Durwin A Kerr a manager, and was unapologetic... Terrible customer service! Stay away from this place.

Great course. Poor service. If you value your time please read below.Tl:dr - I think most of us would agree that our time is valuable. If youre in this camp with me, I cant possibly recommend this course.I booked a T-time early in the day Wednesday for 5:30pm with 2 carts. When I arrived they had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to play because they wouldnt want me to waste money and not play for very long as they did not have carts ready... but they guess they could get me one maybe if I really wanted to go out and not play very much bc they pull the flags at sunsetWhat kind patronizing bs is this.First off, its not their money to spend and if I feel like paying full price for a few holes thats my choice.Second, the course was not busy and they knew 2 carts needed to be ready way ahead of time.Third, I drove across town to play and youre really going to stand there and ask me if I feel like playing... yes, bud I made time in my schedule to squeeze in some golf and reserved it ahead of time to drive out here just so I could have this conversation with you about how the Sun sets everday. So much for wanting to get a bit of Golf in after work.- After reading another low review its apparent that the staff at this course run people off to cut out early.

Course was in great shape, with a few tricky greens as they are elevated above the fairways. Bunker placement forces strategic shots, but not overly difficult. As I was here on a business trip, I rented their clubs and they played great.

I used the Brackenridge Golf Course as the location of my wedding and it was such a great decision. The ceremony was on the lawn and the reception was under the pavilion. Such a beautiful wedding. The even coordinator, Lauren, was simply amazing! She made sure everything was absolutely perfect and put so much work into the wedding! The food was delicious (which was from their catering company). We had fajitas and the meat was so tender and juicy! The guacamole and beans were delicious as well! The prices to rent out the venue was decent as well. I would definitely recommend hosting an event through them!!

What a joy to play such a historic golf course, the greens are in great shape the fairways are plush and bouncy too. Do not let the yardage on this course fool you it will test all aspects of your game. I love the layout and truly enjoyed me round here. The clubhouse staff were amazing. I arrived about 20 minutes before the twilight rate and they managed to get me out a little early as I was playing as a single in town for business. Great course, a must play if your in the area.

Overall its a decent track. No water on the front and very flat, but the back 9 has water on about half of the holes and some elevation. The back is much prettier than the front imo. The course is not long. From the whites, the par 4s probably average about 350-360 yards max, and the par 5s right around 500 yards. The par 3s average about 150. The greens on all 18 holes are in absolutely fabulous condition every time I play there and putt very true. Theyre also quite large, which I prefer. The fairways are also usually in really good condition and has never been muddy or anything like that. The course does have a few more sand traps than average, but not a problem at all. Cost is a bit above average for a muni, but I think its still worth it. They also have a really nice practice green and a separate chipping green that is also in really good shape. I recommend spending a morning or afternoon here, as I have many times.

Great course but terrible customer service. The old hag at the front desk was very rude. I do not appreciate whenever I pay for something and an employee does not give me good customer service. It is service like that, that makes me want to take my money elsewhere. The young lady at the front desk however was very helpful. I appreciate her help and positive attitude. I hope that the other lady reads this and reconsiders the way that she treats customers. Mostly for the sake of the business and the comfortability of the customers.

Came here for a wedding, there is a smallish outbuilding which is beautiful for weddings. Alright full disclosure: I was employed here in 2015-2016.Im a little biased and also a little frustrated with rates and staffing. The policies and procedures seem like they change on a weekly basis and there is not a lot of team building.Rates could be a bit more fair to residents of San Antonio. $75 on a weekend for a municipal (tax payer owned) golf course is a little steep. Their pricing and specials are like reading hieroglyphics. Their programs are confusing to say the least while again changing every year to something different or more revenue generating. The course is ALWAYS IN GREAT SHAPE! The place is beautiful and historic. It certainly is a good walk spoiled by the game itself.Only 3 stars... for now. To get 5 stars from me you either have to give me free bacon or serve mouthwatering food. Im a golf professional and I have high standards.
