Super awesome place to spend at least 2.5 hours to see everything. Youll see cultivated gardens, conservatories of different types of plants, and specific areas that are supposed to mimic a few of Texas diverse landscapes. I would bring a map with me next time and mark off each area as I go through it as the place is so big that I may have missed things. Got my 10k steps for the day!

Beautiful place. A number of beautiful gardens to walk through and appreciate. Ample space to maintain social distance, one of the reasons we decided to visit. Though there were people, including staff, who were without masks. There are often events going on, especially at the amphitheatre. We were able to catch a wonderful play. Overall, a good place to visit safely for a day out.

This place is HUGE and absolutely delightful! There’s more here than you can possibly explore in a day. There are native trails recreated with plants from the different regions of Texas as well as perfectly manicured, traditional gardens and modern artistic landscaping. Largest Hibiscus I’ve ever seen! I especially loved the water saver area with full size mock-ups of front yard lawn and planting options. They also offer classes on attracting pollinators or birds, incorporating native plants into your landscape, and much more. I was mostly taking photos of plants for my own garden. Beautiful botanical garden; I’ll be returning again and again!

A beautiful spot in the heart of San Antonio to spend an afternoon. While visiting, I felt removed from the rush of the city and at peace with the botanical splendor. I look forward to returning some time to see all that I missed and take in more of the refreshing plant filtered air. If I had any recommendations I would say to pick a fair weather day that is not too hot as you will be outside for most of it. Also, a good camera to capture the beautiful scenery and perhaps a tripod or selfie stick if you want some great pictures of yourself or friends. Bring a water bottle and enjoy one of the hidden treasures of this great city.

It was a hot day to go to the botanical garden today. But we had fun looking at all the different plants and textures of plants. I did expect the origami to be a little bit bigger this round… But either way it was beautiful to see. Wish we would have come on a cooler day as I believe the botanical garden would’ve been a lot more enjoyable. :3

My husband said: “We haven’t even left and I already want to come back.” This Botanical Garden is SO impressive. The gorgeous glass buildings are futuristic and too cool. The family area is nicely fenced off and has lots of stuff for older kids. I do wish they’d dedicate a small area for crawling babies, but they had a nice shaded grassy area at least! We definitely recommend it all!

Sadly, the Origami feature was misleading. They advertise it like its a specific featured area and display a child touching them. In reality, most are very small and too far away from the path to see up close. Then, the horses from the ad w/the kid touching it have a sign that says DO NOT TOUCH. It was disappointing overall. Some plants and flowers were pretty though.Lastly, its not walker-friendly. Most areas require you to double back to exit. You cannot plan a route to see everything in a smooth, forward route. It makes it twice as longh having to exit from you entered. Bummer.

This botanical garden is phenomenal. The price of admission for adults is well worth it. This location is a place where an individual or group can easily spend 2 or more hours and still not see everything. Due to COVID-19 regulations, water fountains are disabled. I also encountered vending machines that were sold out, so I recommend that guests drink plenty of fluids, bring a refillable water bottle, or purchase something to drink after entering the garden.I also suggest using a plant identification app if you dont see signage for a plant that intrigues you. Such an app can help you with garden or gift planning in the future. The thought didnt occur to me until I was ready to head toward the entrance, but I chose PlantNet, and it worked fine for me.I hope to return when I visit San Antonio with company.

Lots of walking so its good exercise. When its hot, Id recommend going early or later because there isnt a lot of shade or places to sit. Unless youre visiting an area where flowers and plants are meant to stay cool which may be 1 or 2 spots out of 15+ different areas. They have cool spots for kids to play and the staff seems alright. They are constantly busy tending the place. The Botanical Gardens occupies and pretty good space and there are some areas that need attention.
