I had a wonderful time at this relaxed family owned winery. Next time out-of-state friends come to visit I will definitely bring them here. The location is right on the Willamette river. You can even take the nearby ferry across the river if youre coming from I-5 (always check first to make sure the ferry is running). Bocce, horseshoes and corn hole lawn games are a great way to pass the time while sharing a bottle with friends. Bring a picnic!
Great folks and wonderful setting
Simply stated, Arcane Cellars offers a wine tasting experience unlike any other. Their picturesque location on the Willamette River will heighten your enjoyment of their bold, delicious wines, and their helpful, knowledgeable staff will not overwhelm you with a scripted shtick that has become all too common in many of the wineries that I have visited. They make wine accessible, and more importantly, enjoyable. Their tasting room is unlike any other I have visited. Situated alongside stainless steel vats and oak barrels stained with wine, I felt more connected to the tasting experience. Maybe it was the ambiance, or maybe it was the wine, but Arcane Cellars made a lasting impression with me. I recommend to anyone interested in wine that they experience Arcane Cellars for themselves. It is a gem!
Some of the best wine in the Willamette Valley! Owner Jeff and Sharon make your visit an enjoyable one to their tasting room right in the winery. Their staff is welcoming and friendly. They have twenty six varieties of world class wine. Come experience a great glass of wine right along the Willamette River. Paddlers are always welcome.
Always a joy to go there on release parties and chat with the winemaker. Great wine selection. We love most if not all of their wines! Music of the spheres was one of the best they had
Down home and comfortable place with lots of extra spaces to enjoy. Big selection of wine varietals to choose from.
I called to see if they have any sort of refund (or partial refund) policy for gift certificates since I was given two, but do not drink or live in the area. I didnt expect a refund, but thought I should ask (just in case) since its wasted resources for myself and the person who gifted me the certificates otherwise. The man who answered cussed me out, at which point I just acquiesced and agreed with him that Im a such-and-such and wrapped up the conversation to get out of there. I have no idea if their wine is good, but that customer service was unnecessarily stressful - stressful enough that I feel compelled to write this.Ill give the guy the benefit of the doubt that he just was having a bad day or assumed that I had ill intentions, but there really is no excuse to act in such socially destructive ways. Communication works so much better than name-calling. I dont know if the wine is good, but I know I wont be recommending going here or talking with the staff on the off-chance you run into this man. If you want their wine, buy it from 3rd parties for a better experience. This is a reminder to take care of your mental health, everyone.
Back to get more port wine
I discovered an excellent wine in the tasting room, which I just had to buy, and listened to a wonderful bluegrass band outside on a sunny summer day. Worth the trip. Great for weddings, with a tiny house on wheels for such occasions.
Went with a tour. They treated us wonderfully. Would visit and test there wine again
Stopped by because there was supposed to be Blues playing. Stuck around for 20 minutes, it never started. Place is a big nothing.
Nice surprise but shocking tasting was $10 even though we bought $71 of wine. One member of staff didnt think we should be there since it was a member appreciation day even though sign said public welcome?
Wonderful wine, people and atmosphere! A day spent here is never wasted!
Great wines! Great ly varied selection!
Great people, great entertainment, and fine wines!
Hard to tell if we liked the wine since the owner talked too much. All the other wineries we went to were way better.
This is our favorite winery. They have excellent wine and the proprietor is awesome, so are the other staff members.
Exceptional wine with more offerings than Pinot Noir - although their Pinots are also excellent.
I called Arcane Cellars to ask where I could buy their wine in Portland and the gentlemen who I spoke with would not answer my question, and instead insulted my masculinity. I guess I wont be buying their wine!
Good wine
Amazing people, views, and of course, wines!
