Canobie Corkscrew is an alright roller coaster. Kind of outdated and bangs your head on the corkscrews. On the positive side, the drop is pretty fun. Especially in the back car! The ride is also very picturesque! Overall fine example of a vintage looping coaster!

It is intense for what it is and the wait is normally 10 minutes or 20 minutes depending on the time

Awesome experience for a first roller coaster rider. Fast and insane. Sadly the seats are not made for people 6 feet and over. But still 5 stars.

Fun coaster but super bumpy. You will get a headache after this ride. The lift hill takes for ever too. Otherwise a nice ride with a fast moving line

This ride is historically important: its one of the first batch of Arrow Development corkscrew coasters, the first modern roller coasters to go upside down. While there were attempts at looping coasters all the way back in the 19th century, they were neither very safe nor very comfortable, and nobody had dared to build one since the 1920s or so. But Arrows tubular-steel technology (first introduced on Disneylands Matterhorn Bobsleds) made it possible to try things not otherwise practical, and in 1975 they made a bold move that changed everything, introducing these coasters that contained the first modern inversions.Specifically, the Canobie Corkscrew was the second one built, for a short-lived indoor amusement park/shopping mall in Illinois (it was originally named the Chicago Loop). It spent some time at the Alabama State Fairgrounds before being relocated to Canobie in the 1980s.Unfortunately... its not actually very *good*. Theres not much to it: just a lift, a drop and a double corkscrew, folded into a compact layout. These Arrow corkscrews are rough and head-bangy by modern standards; youll probably get off feeling a bit pummeled. At this point, with Untamed at the other end of the park offering everything this ride can give you in a much better package, theres little reason to ride it aside from historical interest, completeness, or the fact that the waits are usually short. The blue, green and white paint job they gave it a few years ago is nice, though.

It only lasts a minute but seems like 3 seconds...sometimes a long wait for such a short ride...but its fun for sure..
