Love this park for a local place to play outdoors. The 18 hole disc golf course is my favorite reason for visiting but you can also enjoy beautiful walking trails (watch out for flying discs though, as some of the trails go through the course), playground, a creek, pavilions, picnic tables and bathrooms. Lots of open space to roam or enjoy some time with your furry friends or kiddos.
Neat little disc golf course. It was busy when I arrived on a Tuesday but there is plenty of room to distance yourselves. The first part of the park you see upon entrance, with the cabana, seems to have been claimed by livers of the land. And I cop did park itself and observe the duration of my visit. But all in all I believe it was a great park to visit with you dog or disc buddies
I really enjoy this course. City and the locals keep up on the cleanliness of the park pretty well. I also heard they might revamp the property and make it better! Fingers crossed...
Drugmansee Park is pretty nice as long as you avoid the wooded disc golf areas. The grass isnt green (much) but the weeds are growing fabulously. We use the tennis courts, but they are starting to get pretty worn and cracked. Once in a while, the ball will hit a crack and bounce sideways. Still, it is close to home so we use the park from time to time. Its in a convenient location.
I love this park.It has a nice walking trail & a disc golf course thats pretty cool..
Love playing disc golf at this park. It has j u s t the right amount of open space/ natural obstacles (trees). Been playing for years now. Dont seem to ever get bored playing there.
Its a cool Park that goes way back farther than it looks like it would. I dont know how many covered areas it has but I know theres one main one at the front . I dont know why Ive never considered this a beautiful Park but it is pretty cool.
I always have fun playing pokemon go at this park. its very clean and well taken care of
Pretty, kool &Im from Miami been here bout 6 yes pretty seasoned d.g.veteran 56
An inner city park thats surprisingly beautiful! So much so, we did our wedding photos there. Theres something for everyone. Tennis courts, a decent disc golf course, soccer field and its a beautiful forest spot for birding. Saw some owls there the other day.
Beautiful park. Big grassy areas, picnic tables, public restrooms, small playground area, tennis court, soccer field, a decent sized disc golf course, and a beautiful wooded area with walking trails and a creek running through it.
Its a beautiful park to get out and enjoy nature. It is set up for frisbee golf, there is play equipment for younger kids, a stream and wooden bridge :)
Woodmansee Park, holds many memories and secrets of mine.50 years (ugh) i been going to woodmansee,i went to the judson jr high which connects to the park either Councilor or principle was allways catching kids skipping.it has Trails bridges frisbee golf? A playground picnic tables and bathroom and mill creek runs through the park.its a great park .large oak trees and wildlife.
Best park in Salem. The disc golf course is amazing as the park is beautiful. 5/5 I will always recommend this park because even though I wish I could have it all to myself, I would rather share it with others and show off how cool and fun it can be. The scenery is an awesome bonus!
Such a nice park tucked away in an unexpected location. It has a fun playground that is also handicap accessible, which is cool. Theres a pretty, shallow little creek running through the park so its very fun to explore with little ones. We will be sure to go back this summer to splash around on a hot day.
Beautiful trails through the forest. Fun playground for the kids. Engaging disc golf course also.
Huge covered area plus further in, lots of picnic tables under tall trees to stay cool. Disc golf played here too
Great frisbee golf course, I am constantly coming back to play here. Also good walking and biking trails.
We come here every week to disk golf. Its pretty overgrown so dont bring short children or be bad at throwing disks. You will lose things in that grass.
Great disc golf course!!Kind of a hobo Village though.
We go there for the disc golf course, but there is also a childrens play area and a large field for soccer, There are tennis courts as well and a walking trail. Overall pretty good.
Always a nice place to meet a friend and chat.
Would have been better but a lot of homeless, roaming about.
Its a peace and clean park with Frisbee golf
Nice park, we grabbed sandwiches from the store and had our lunch there as we were traveling through
It has some beautiful open spaces as well as woodsey trails to walk on. Its a really nice medium size urban park.
Very enjoyable, no water but nice...
I will always have fond memories of woodmansee considering i grew up around there and i would skip school there
I love the disc golf course and it seems like an excellent park.
I love how they keep the park mowed but the disc golf course they let the grass grow 10 feet tall before they cut it
So laid back really enjoy time spent here.
This is the park my Husband and I had our first date
Very clean park and very pretty!
Located behind Winco and other Stores. Playground for kids and lots a tress around.
One of the best parks. Great to walk around and be in nature.
Nice wooded trails along a creek. Disc golf course is challenging, but fun.
Always nice to be able to get back to Nature so close to the city I love this park
I was given the chance to serve free food to anyone who needs it. There were several stations at the park. Ours was Grandmas sweet shack. Different kinds of cookies, cupcakes, gluten free mini cupcakes. It was a blast. Thank you Gateway four-square church. I enjoyed helping out.
Beautiful little park. Nothing is perfect about it, it’s pretty rough around the edges. One of my favorite disc golf course but like many courses it’s easy to get lost and not marked well. Check it out for yourself and see if it fits you.
Easy to shop with and fast delivery.
Its a good park.
Great little park with a lot of variety packed in. From big open fields to forest trails this park has it all. Theres even a little Creek that flows through it and a great disc golf course!
Ive been going here since I was a kid and now i take my kids here.sad most the trees are gone it used to be so beautiful but still a great park lots to do here.
Good place to have a picnic in family outing
The park is Nice my dog and i stopped soShe could run around. The park is BeautifulAnd quite you can relax and enjoy the scenery. We enjoyed are selfless.
Woodmansee is a perennial favorite for us all, from even before we had kids! Tennis, disc golf, ball fields, playground, bathrooms, walking trails, a gnarled apple tree, a little creek, a great place to sit and read, picnic tables, a picnic shelter, geocaches, lots of Wizards and Pokemon app spots...
Just at the beginning of Spring a beautiful park, grass, trees and flowers just coming to life after winter!
Very relaxing and very beautiful
They could clean up a bit more and not allow so many people to live there
Lots of homeless people
Good disc golf, fun and fun for the kids
A great quiet park! Very nice little disc golf course
Lots of green space, wide variety from play structures to open fields to wooded trails.
Love the dog park and being able to walk along the river and over the bridge to the water front park
Totally worth it quiet plenty of space even though you have to look out for frisbees its a golf course quiet come out here having picnic do whatever you want to do plenty of shade they do have crix good place to get pictures through and its right across the street from WinCo so if you run out of food you can just go out there and get it two for one deal
Great disc golf course. Has a great variety of shots that makes playing really fun. Up hill land downhill shots. Met some really nice people as well. Recommended for sure!
I dont hate it... I just dont love it
Wonderful place to spend a relaxing afternoon. Not too crowded, not too isolated. Good place to play disc golf.
This is a nice little wooded park in south salem. Ive been coming here for years for the short but challenging disc golf course here. My kids like the playground, so its a win-win for everyone!
Disc golf. Dog walks. Playground. Tennis courts. Toilets. Very nice and wooded.
This park is fun for the kids, and the disk course. Wish they had swings tho.
Nice park in the city
The disc gold course is great. I didnt think the alternate t-pads for each basket would be as fun as it is, being that the alternate t-pads are pretty close by. But surprisingly it changes each shot quite a bit.Its too bad discs arent returned as frequently as at other courses. It may have to do with there being people (whom Ive run into actively searching and talking about what they are doing) trying to find lost discs to sell, thinking they could get up to $80 a disc. Funny they think they would ever be able sell one for that much, but too bad we arent getting our discs back because of that and whatever else is going on there. Just dont give up on your disc when you think its lost... keep looking!
Its great of you play disc golf, basketball, tennis or soccer. Its just mediocre besides that. You also want to be careful because some of the shadiest people go there with bad intentions. Never go alone or at night.
Nice park
Its fun for little kids, theirs a disc golf course that was nice to walk through their are trees and its really quiet.
Largish community park with restroom facilities, large parking lot, covered picnic area, picnic benches, playground, stream, football/soccer sized field, and a disc golf course tucked along its small hiking route. Its a great park, but beware, lots of car campers utilize the area because of its access to facilities and due to the fact that the parking lot is situated far enough away from the main road that their not a nuisance. That alone is the reason the park doesnt get a 5 star rating. To me its a little sketch. The disc golf course is great. All par 3s and the baskets are situated close enough to the tees that you can realistically par a lot of the holes. I would caution that you use a spotter on a few of the holes that have tees situated on hills, because the brush WILL swallow your discs, and if youre not paying attention youll never find them. All in all, though, a great little park
I live in the area and enjoy this park as a nice place to take a break. Though it is not large, it has a woodsy feel with many big old trees that include a folfing range. There are a good number of picnic tables and even a covered picnic pavillion that can be reserved. Restrooms are open until evening. A large sporting field holds soccer and lacrosse games and there are tennis courts.
Used to love this park. Now its usually filled with homeless and people living out of their cars. Half the park is overrun with holes from moles.
I loved it actually. Was a peaceful get away from a terrible enviornment/person. Yes, the weather is cold. But also? Was a welcoming crisp breath of fresh air. Much needed few hours of time alone to think on a bit... My upcoming plans/journey. IM VERY EXCITED FOR! PRAYERS REALLY DO WORK.JUST ME, THE QUITNESS OF THE BEAUTIFUL CLEAR SKY... AND MY PRIVACY ALONE TO THINK, AND PLAN... PERFECT TIMING FOR SUCH A PERFECT NIGHT OF NEW REVELATIONS 5 STARS TO WOODMANSEE PARK! :)
Too many people with dogs off leash!! Im guessing they dont pick up after their dog either???
My wife and I love coming here early in the morning and having a quick walk around the path. Once done we like to sit and feed our favorite squirrel.Strangely it seems to be the only squirrel we know about as far as the grey squirrels. There is a ground squirrel that also resides in the park. Wife seems to think there might be a few owls in the forest area of the park. Other then that five stars for this park.
Its a very nice park except to City of Salem has reduce the hours of operation. Recently hours will posted as closed from midnight until 6 a.m., now hours are from sunrise until sunset (not even the slightly more generous dawn to dusk) as winter approaches hours are getting shorter and shorter. eEventually, the parks will be closing at 4 in the afternoon and not opening again until 8 the next morning.Otherwise, it is a pretty and well-maintained park.
It was a decent park. I imagine it would probably have been nice if it had rained within the month I visited in.
Took my dogs here this is a great place for dogs beautiful day its a great place to take a picnic or just relax lots of activities there one of my favorite places in Salem an excellent of Frisbee Golf Course very tough I would rate it five
Its a decent little park. However a bunch of homeless people live here in cars.
Nice park kinda seedy at night
Oasis in the city, plus sports courts.
Relaxing day good time to go to the park.it was nice and quiet peaceful day.goodtimes
Beautiful setting and very low-key
I loved it so many nice people and dogs I love dogs
Ive been going to this park for years. Its a great place for picnics, has a great disc golf course and be on the lookout for the bunnies!
First time to the park, not my last either! From the road it doesnt look that big. But its huge! We went to find some geocaches there. We found so much more! There is huge areas for running around. The play area, tennis, basketball, walking paths. The best surprise is a disc golf course. I want to go back to try.
Been coming here since I was a child. Dodging disc golf frisbees here and there possibly is a small inconvenience but is a small price to pay for good quality nature/trails/nostalgia/play park
My kids love this park and all the pokestops here. They would like swings.
Gorgeous park. Started going because of Pokemon Go (yep people DO still play), but now I go to get lost in the woods and enjoy nature.Sometimes its hard to avoid the disc golf players but still pretty peaceful regardless.
Really nice little park with a great playground for the kids kind of under the shade so thats awesome and a nice little walk the has a little creek nice little hidden park
I dont know why Im reviewing a park its just a park theres trees theres grass theres places to play oh and theres also a fantastic disc golf course
Nice park & BiG! This is a GR8 Park for Birthdays & celebrations- theres a BBQ in a sheltered spot w/tables & seating. Will accommodate lots of people! Theres lots of grass & trees & areas for kids to play @ the very back of park. A Jungle Gym of sorts too w/a bathroom. Great for families!
A nice park for shaded strolls and biking. While it does have play structures, it is not quite a park for children.
Great disc golf course! Just dont bring green discs because its pretty woodsy!
