Such a cute store. Its what Cracker Barrel wishes it could be. The owner is friendly and chatty, and shared several stories about interesting antiques left from the original store. There is a wide selection of candy and ice cream, so its worth grabbing a treat while youre there. They also sell locally made whoopie pies, which are amazing. Definitely worth a stop.

Great little store stuck back in time, I absolutely love this place. I am so glad that Peter Scontras purchased it and is continuing the tradition, I cant think of a better person so deeply rooted in Sacos history. Fantastic person, great teacher and mentor. I wish him and his lovely wife only the best with their continuing efforts to keep this piece of history alive!

Although I have been a customer since I was a very little girl, I must take the time to post my sincere disappointment from my recent visit with my kids…Every year we go in and get one full stick of Necco‘s. It’s my kids all-time favorite, and has been one of mine since I was young.Although there were more then 50 sticks available behind the counter, the owner refused to sell me any. He stated that because the recipe may not be repeated and the price may increase dramatically he was not willing to sell them at the regular price. He even stated that people have gone in and offered him $20 per stack and yet he still refused even that price. The point… This store, which had at one time prided itself in the enjoyment of a child, has now become driven by greed. It was very clear that his intent was to hold onto his stash until he could get every penny out of anyone willing to pay the high price once their value skyrockets. Even though he made a specific point that he wouldn’t be gouging a customer, then why not be willing to sell them?
