This place is sooo much fun. Clean. Safe and a wonderful place to take your family! I went with my wife and my 4 boys. It was 96 degrees out but the amount of water and shady places to sit solved that issue. They had great slides, a wave pool and a safe place for the little ones to stay cool all day. The food was good, and all the staff was extremely helpful. We stayed all day until the place closed. On top of the water attractions, they have mini-golf, go-carts and a ton of wide open areas to hang with the family. Great day!
Recently moved to the area. I wouldnt normally post a review of a place Ive never visited, but Ive seen enough now of Aquaboggan Water Park to know that Ill never go, and neither should others. Its disappointing, since the place does seem like it would be a lot of fun in normal times.Every day I drove past this place, though, I could see that public health measures werent being enforced - people crowding together and not a mask in sight. I understand this is a very difficult position for a business to be in, but keeping a water park open for months amidst a pandemic that just kept racking up deaths, while failing to properly enforce behavior required to keep everyone safe, is incredibly irresponsible. Just limiting the number of visitors and requiring masks indoors isnt enough on its own. I dont know what other measures they may have had on the books, but they were either inadequate or inadequately enforced. Now theyve been closed down, and they had the nerve to put up a message on their sign about being closed due to unfair government restrictions. I dont understand what could be unfair about expecting a business to put in more than the bare minimum effort needed not to contribute to the spread of disease. Their website blames inconsistent regulations and changes in guidelines, but common sense and keeping up with the latest research on how SARS-CoV-2 spreads (which is part of being a responsible citizen and business owner at this point!) should have led them to take action without any state intervention at all. Funtown Splashtown understood this months ago; why not Aquaboggan?
Going to Aquaboggan was AMAZING. They had a lot of slides and my favorite was Totally Tubular. I went up the hill to get there over 50 times. If they reopen I would recommend going there. Its completely safe and very fun.
Went to Aquaboggans Trail of Terror twice this year. Staff is friendly and helpful, especially if you loose your way in the forest. Definitely would recommend at least once. Price was $20 per person.
Water park experience was pretty good however when we went to purchase food we kindly asked were fries included with the chicken tender meals they said no and no other comment was said from us. The guy behind counter goes on to say next time you should bring your own food if you think its expensive but we never had said anything about the food being expensive or not being able to afford the food we were on a family getaway with kids we had plenty of money to spend specially when going out with kids . So we said that was rude can we please speak to your manager he said Im the manager so the guy that took over who was very nice and he apologized while the one that was being rude opened the refrigerator door and slammed it this happened on 7/25/20 around 3pm -4pm cant remember his name he was a white tall male maybe late teens or early 20s. But overall besides the experience at the food court the water park was great.
Great place to bring the family. Lots to do and well worth the cost, really good for ages 5-15 due to the variety of options. Can do all the activities at least once within 3-4 hours. Food is pretty standard for water parks. Since you can leave and enter the park and bring your own food its easy to leave your belongings in the car save on the locker fee. *Dont forget your masks since youll need them to enter the bathroom, gift shop, and cafe.4 stars because it could be cleaned more frequently. There was a masked left near the wave pool for hours, similar with some trash scattered around the park
One of the best water parks I’ve been to so far not only do they have a decent amount of slides but there’s also a kiddie area loved it only thing that caught me by surprise were some of the younger workers attitude and personal business they had amongst one another . I love love love working with kids and some of them need to embrace that.! Just a little more energy is needed from them.
Fun fun fun for being a small water park...I would recommend just getting the normal pass I believe is $26 instead of the $36. The $36 pass just gives u 2 rides on the go cart mind you there slow and old and 2 rides on the bumper boats and unlimited mini golf I go to a water park for the water slides not go carts and mini golf but I gave it a try anyways and its not worth it!!! TRUST ME other than that AQUABOGGAN is a great place to bring the whole family!!!
We did the trail of terror and it was great. My daughter was screaming the whole time. The best part was one of the staff learned her named and yelled her name though out the trail.
Theres no better water park or family fun center in all of Maine. In fact, we have traveled the globe and this is not just the best water park and family funnpark in Maine, Id argue its better than Disney. Simple reasons, m:1) its geared toward the kids having a blast without the anxiety of whether the ride is too scary. In other words, every slide is exciting, but none are so out the norm that it would create kids feeling insecure or whatever. Parents know exactly what I am saying. Here they even let you use double floats on appropriate slides Soni can go with my daughter. Same with go-karts. If you have a child too small or maybe too timid just yet, THEY HAVE SIDE BY SIDE TWO SEATER go-karts. Daddy daughter days are now heavenly:)! And one more clear example of the class act this family owned business portrays, unlike every other anywhere that tries to squueze every penny, here, the aquaboggan family realizes fun can also get expensive. If you need to pack lunch and drinks to stay on budget, they are happy to allow it. Of course, the food is great there and my daughter loves the chicken tenders and fries!!! We love u all and will be back Saturday;!!
Fair priced, great time. I have 4 boys ages 3 to 11 and they all enjoyed it. Very clean
Very great day spent, this place did great with social distancing, it had plenty of space for as busy as it got! No lines they kept all lines to a very minimal! Keeping the people moving at all times! Great job to all the staff! Thank you from being here for our family’s thru the pandemics summer
Sign reads closed do to unfair government restrictions. Yeah its called protecting people from a virus. Not going to a waterpark and crying like 2 ur olds because you are closed.
Great place for the kids to enjoy a summer day. They have picnic tables under a wooden awning so you can be out of the sun. They are limiting # of people per day which made the lines shorter for the slides.
For the price and the space plus you get to bring your own cooler you really cannot go wrong. The kiddos loved it.
I have been coming here since I was a kid, and now bring my kids here too. I was so happy they decided to open this year so that my kids and I could have some sort of normalcy to our summer. Thank you!
Im living in Old Orchard Beach. My husband and I and my autistic son loved this place a lot. Nice for family and kids
If you are worried about covid do not come here. There were lots of people, even though online it said they were limiting people, and its pretty impossible to social distance because none of the tables and lounge chairs available were separated from each other at all. It didnt notice anything they did different from last year.
Haunted trail has a nice few jumps in it for everyone
Super fun and addictive. All slides are in great shape and very safe.
Not as big as other waterparks but plenty to do for kids to stay cool and have fun! Clean and food is good too.
Its very quaint and exactly what it is... More for kids and less for adults...Had no issues though and if you want to start kids of right on a water park this is the place
Fun place to bring your family and friends. Make sure you try tho go karts
Fun place there are Pools, go carts, water rides, etc. You should take your family here
We continue to go to this park because its a tradition at this point. 2020 there was no sign we are going thru a pandemic. Park looks run down. As much as I hate to say that we have been going here for over 20 years.
So awesome! Cheap prices for tubes and everyone was very welcoming!
I had a ball water was perfect. Fun to late out
Great place to bring your kids loved it there really no wait times to get on the water rides
Not overly crowded. Relaxing. Staff polite and lifeguards were attentive.
Had a great day, very fun, but there was no one following or enforcing covid 19 rules.
Great place, seagulls are a little aggressive stole my kids cheeseburger
Great place for the whole family must go if your in area
Had a blast when I went two weeks ago
Amazing place to go as a family. But will bring own food next time. Food prices way to expensive
Very fun place. Food is expensive so bring your own food.
Who opens a water park and allows such a giant crowd with back to back people lined up DURING A PANDEMIC. You guys all being so reckless and dangerous do realize a man in his 20s just DIED in Anderscoggin county like 30mins from here right? You should literally all be ashamed of yourselves. You are risking others health and lives. Dispicle!
Slightly dated equipment and infrastructure, but really fun for kids. Nice staff.
We had a lot of fun..so much to do..even without the kids..they will coming with us next time for sure. Food is pricey
Great. Super great. Great staff. I would recommmnd going when it rains for a min because it looks beautiful. Funtown slpashtown you can wait. Aquaboggin is better if you have babies and toddlers. (Since funtown does not have that). The only thing that gets me like aw is the expensive price for food. Hamburger is like 6-9$ . imagine paying for a the whole family! The best water park on earth.
Has maybe 3-4 waterslides and some are out of commission. Have to pay extra to do bumper cars, go karting, paddle boating and to rent a tube. Waste of money don’t plan to come back.
Don’t go.....No social distancing at this place....they obviously care more about $ than anyone getting sick! Won’t go back, they showed their true colors. It’s disappointing!
The place is nice but small, expect the food to be pricey and if you have a normal $36.00 day pass it does not come with bummer boats, go carts and such. You get 4 slides, a wave pool and a regular pool.
Our family had a lot of fun.
Great family fun and a great way to cool off on a hot day
Teenage kids that work there need to get some training on how to treat customers!
Should have said little kids can not ride but 2 slides and they should update prices online as people with big groups plan ahead 14$ more per person extra was alot
Great fun great staff great food
Mini golf balls were heavily worn that the color was coming off. The plants were overgrown the course and paths. The score card didnt have what the par was for each hole.
Clean, fun and super nice people.
Great place to have fun, but I think it’s ridiculous to charge for tubes. For a family service it should all be included.
Awesome and so much fun event for my little guy at 3.5 years old. And the older kids had a blast also 10-13. Perfect place to even give the kiddos some free range. Lines move quickly and staff is great. 1st time Here in about 10 years and I dont know why we waited so long. Well definitely be back soon :)
My nephews (11 and 14) and I had a blast today! I was impressed by the overall cleanliness of the park, including the bathrooms. Even though it was very busy, nothing felt overly crowded and there was plenty of seating, sunny and shaded (lounge chairs, picnic tables, etc). I asked my nephews what their favorite attraction was and they could not pick one..they loved everything they tried! The best part was that they never had to wait too long in a line so they could repeat their favorite slides over and over. The entire staff was so friendly and attentive. When the kids were in the deep end of the wave pool, I felt more at ease knowing there were several lifeguards around. Overall, we had a wonderful day! I would highly recommend Aquaboggan to anyone or any family who wants to have a super fun day at a really affordable price.
Awesome place great for a family day
My kids and I love this place
Great place for kids and not busy fast lines but very expensive for go carts. Get full passes
Big kids and little kids all had a great time! Plenty to do, but not so big that I felt I couldnt connect with my kids when I needed to. Great place for a family fun day or for kids to have fun just being kids!
Aquaboggin is the perfect place to take the kids on a hot summer day. Love the Monday discount! Makes it really affordable for families. Would have given a 5 if I hadnt witnessed an older man (45-50ish) who works at Aquaboggin berating one one the teenage female staff. He swore and yelled at her publicly. I was very disappointed to see such abuse of the young staff.
Our family absolutely loves it here. Its a small park, but we always find discounted/half price tickets at our local town hall, rec department or even online. Theres currently 6 water slides, but were definitely coming back to try the yankee ripper when that opens! The wait for slides in never more than a few minutes and the staff are young, but helpful. Cant wait to go back!
I am glad I did not pay full price, got my tickets from seize the deal $24 for 2.No lazy river, however the Wave pool is very calm so you can rent a tube and hang out in pool. The purple slide is fun, just make sure you have no neck problems cause the first drop can cause the neck to go back fast, causing some neck discomfort. The other couple of water slides were enjoyable. The kids, ages 9,12 & 13 all loved the 1/2 dome thing where you climb up and slide down.Pros - lots of tables with umbrellas, a pavilion with a lot of tables. However, beware of the seagulls, ANY food left unattended, the seagulls will get. I witnessed a whole food tray get devoured by them. You can bring your coolers in too. That is a big plus. Not very crowded either,All other rides - Go-carts, paddle boats, bumper boats, all cost additional money. Either $6 each per ride, or $10 each ticket for unlimited rides. Mini golf only one included.I saw 2 rides out of commission.Wave pool was minimally guarded, at times there was only one guard positioned more near shallow end. Than at 5pm it went to1 guard. So, be your own guard and stay in the water with your children. Was a sunny and hot day.Wear your sandals cause the pavement gets hot.Its a low key water park. It is the oldest one in Maine. Dont think its like other water parks otherwise you will be disappointed.
Good for families with kids.
Fun place for all family
Great affordable for the family.. especially if you have younger children.. not too over populated with older kids and you get to bring your own food..
Nice little watter park, short lines. Not gonna be an all day thing, only about 6 rides.Miniature golf was fun and included.
Awesome Halloween
Great place for the kids! lines were not that long so they loved being able to go from slide to slide quickly
Aquaboggan is a great park full of professional staff. It is designed well for families and large groups with plenty of space and multiple bathrooms. Activities for all ages and abilities. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is the somewhat dated feel of the facility. Definitely not in terrible shape just starting to noticeably age.
Overall was a great place. The kids had a wonderful time and thats what counts. As an adult I feel its time thr owners put a little money back into the park. Things are just looking a bit worn down and used. The ramp to the tube water slide and the suislide could definitely use some work. In general the cosmetic features could use TLC. But that didnt take away from the awesome time we had.
The rides were nice and I loved the go carts but I feel there should have been more heart pumping rides. I like to have a lot of fun. I only found one ride to be really exciting. Everything there is great. I just wish there was more. And better seating for eating because the heat makes the seats hotter than hell.
To very big but perfect for families and great for small groups like summer camp children
Clean, fun, family oriented. You can bring a cooler with your own lunch!!
Family friendly place my three year old 7 year old the kids had a great time
Good deal - way less than Splashtown, smaller park but just as fun. Also love that you can bring food.
This is a great small water park. By grabbing your spot and setting up a home base by the wave pool, which by the way is big enough to have small waves but not the monster waves that you have to run from at some water parks, you have a great place to return to and catch some rays and eat lunch. There are just enough slides to keep the lines moving very fast. We found each slide to be fun and thrilling. There is free mini golf and a nice little lunch shack. Parking is free and with the ability to bring in a cooler you can pack all of the food and drinks you need for the day. My daughter and I loved it and are defenitly going back for more fun.
Fun for the kids but bring a cooler with food unless u want to pay a small fortune for sub par food
I think Canobie Lake Park is the best, but, I liked Aquaboggan. I have visited before and my kids liked it. My daughter liked the wave pool while my son liked the water balloon toss. We have done the regular and mat water slides. I liked that the wave pool had constant waves, but unlike Canobie it had a sudden decline into the deep end.The peddle boats were nice, but, you cant go far. Paddle boats at Yorks Wild Kingdom are better. The go carts are fun. Changing rooms are ok. A little beaten up. Plenty of free parking. Prices reasonable for park. One slide was out of commission.Regular pool with small basketball hoops, which I think would be better for Kahuna Indoor Water Park.I thought it was worth the trip and for a more quiet, less crowded, family fun water park, I recommend a visit.Oh, staff was friendly and lifeguards are paying attention.
It was so fun I literally enjoyed my self and that wave pool that bumper boat awesome and the go karts also the peddling boat everything there was awsome
Amazing! This place is probably the best water park Ive ever gone to before. They have super fast slides and a ride called the stealth where they drop you on a slide practically striaght down about 40 feet! Super fun totally recommended.
Place remains as it did in my childhood..affordable, safe & local family fun. Always a guarantee. That wave pool brings on the best tan
Not a ton of slides but the slides they do have tons of fun
A little dated but a water slide is a water slide, especially to a 4 year old. A 4 year old that is pushing himself to try something outside of his comfort zone and cooling off in the meantime is worthwhile experience from a fathers perspective. If that 4 yr old also likes mini golf and doesnt mind discounted bracelets on mondays, its a no brainer.
Too much trash and unclean people
Good place to go cool off with family we do this every year
Small park. Fun for a day, but wish there was more. A lazy river around the park would be amazing.
Good old memories from this place
