What an easy beautiful hike. Weve seen this place and passed it by for years, but finally hiked here today. Its gorgeous and the falls are peaceful. Well worth the time to hike in and explore.

Beautiful heavily wooded areaRough trail and hill. A challenge for seniors. Need to get busy and rebuild the bridge over stream so more areas are accessible.

The parking area was fine. Its free, and there was lots of space and few people when I visited on a Tuesday afternoon. Its a short and easy walk to the waterfall from the parking lot.

Was a nice place. The bridges that are there have been tossed about by a storm so its a little challenging to get around on some spots.

I do not recommend this place at all. My son just fell off a 15+ foot cliff to the rock bottom of the waterfall hes lucky to be alive all because he wanted to get his sisters stuffed animal! He was rushed to Maine Med in Portland to the ICU. This place really needs to be maintained better. I cant get the Thud noice out of my head he made hitting a big rock down on the landing...

Beautiful waterfall and trail, there was some trash but not as much as expected.

Ro

Nice family trail, easy to walk and scenic. Be careful of the area where you overlook the falls from the top, there is really no good barrier to protect small children from walking too close otherwise its very nice.

This isnt a bad walk, just note that the trails arent always clearly marked. The falls were still beautiful even though they werent at full capacity. While we did follow the wrong trail and ended up at Monkey Trunks, we spent an hour walking the beautiful woods in Maine and we eventually found our way.Remember to bring water, maybe a snack, and wear decent shoes. We did have to walk through some mud at one point so there is that. All in all a great morning and a great hike.

Short and boring. Took all of 10 minutes to walk it and everything was pretty dry to not much to see. Deer flies where slightly annoying also.

St
Review №44

It is a carry out trail (no trash can). My daughter picked up others litter, including a dirty diaper, at the base of the falls. Not taking that out with me. Wish there was a trash can at the trail head for those who pick up others nasty litter.

One of our favorite places for a walk. Although the railings are a little broken and sketchy. Still a really neat place to stop by and check out

Me
Review №46

Im not sure if this place has multiple entrances but I parked right off Cascade Road. The trails were marked but I didnt know what I was following. The trail was short. I just went straight then right and there was a big ol tree fallen and the trail stopped so I went right again. The falls were gorgeous. I would say that it would be wheelchair accessible if they had a seatbelt and a firm grip. Now when you get to the bottom you can see the falls but the wheelchair could go no further (to explore and get closer). The area is not clear so bring water shoes or a towel to wipe off. Mosquitos are everywhere . Using a wheel chair would be hard going back up. A person with a cane might do okay. Not sure about dogs. Very easy trail for a regular/fat like me human.

I mean its Maine, I expected mosquitos. What I didnt expect was a polluted stream that looked like it was made of coca-cola... The hike is pretty steep, poorly marked and poorly maintained. And the mosquitos....

No mosquitos today. Short hike, downhill to the falls and uphill return. The falls are 30 feet, so expect smaller falls with pretty water reflection. Follow the painted trees to the falls, since there are some forks in the path. Not wheelchair accessible.
