This is a amazing jump back in time to 1400s. For $10 you will have a educational tour inside. Stating with a short film. A few opportunities to sit and rest while your guide describes life during the times in which this house was in England. When the tour is done you will have the rest of your time to yourselves in the garden and grounds. Well worth the trip.

The interior was really unimpressive, dark and not a lot of objects/decoration to see. It felt perhaps more like a 16-century home (I mean, it did exist back then) than a 20-century home I was expecting to see.

Absolutely stunning Manor, easy location to find with plenty of parking. Tours start on the half hour, but in the meantime you are able to walk the gardens and check out the self guided exhibit. The Manor inside is beautiful and full of interesting artifacts from America, England, Russia, Germany etc. Tour lasted around an hour but it’s great info. for the price. Photos are not allowed inside but you are free to take photos all around the outside of the Manor. Our tour guide was so sweet and had so much useful information, she is a Historian and was able to answer all questions thrown her way. Child friendly and If we ever come back to Richmond we will definitely stop by again!

I suggest utilizing the full tour of the house and self guided tour of the gardens. The house is exceptionally ornate, and much more historical than almost anything else in the entire country due to its centuries old history dating back to Renaissance England. The entire tour should take you about 2 hours.

Im enthralled with Agecroft Hall! Its been on my must see list for some time. I went years ago as a kid, but Ive always wanted to go back! Pulling into the gates, I was in awe of the sheer beauty of this English Tudor estate! Immaculate grounds surround the building. Through the courtyard, we entered the visitors center and purchased tickets to tour this majestic home! They give discounts for AAA members, seniors (Im both!) and also students and military. Parking is free.

We went for the free passport weekend, which Richmond does twice a year.. It was a little rushed due to them doing an abridged tour and having a higher-than-usual volume of guests, but the parts of the hall we got to see were beautiful. The grounds and gardens were well maintained and the docents were knowledgeable and interesting. We will definitely be going back later this spring or summer to pay for the full tour. Its such a cool piece of history.

This review refers only to the grounds and gardens surrounding the mansion, not the inside of the manor which we didnt get to see. The grounds are beautiful and wonderful kept. There are flowers, herbs, roses, trees, shrubs, and so much more laid out in a wonderful, relaxing space. The views are gorgeous. The outside of the manor is gorgeous. There are paths down to the river below as well, but come to relax and picnic in the shade surrounded by beautiful gardens. Tours of the mansion are available for $7 per person, and a small gift shop is located near the main entrance. There is a decent sized parking lot directly adjacent to everything. Truly a beautiful sight to behold!

Great hidden gem of Richmond. A real Tutor house from England. After many visits I see or learn something new every time. Take the time to see the neighborhood and gardens. Everybody there was very, very nice.

I am not sure what I was expecting when I decided to visit Agecroft but I was stunned when I arrived. This house is amazing. It is a third of the original Agecroft that was built in England and had a five hundred plus history there before it was purchased by TC Williams and shipped to the states

Amazing place and amazing tour! I loved every moment of it. The collection is broad and well looked after. Look out for witch marks (apotropaic marks) on the wooden panelling and salamanders on the beds to protect from fire! This is a pretty good place to tour if you enjoy history or the history of Richmond. Went during winter time so the gardens weren’t exactly full of flowers. The house is gorgeous and the tour was informing. I would be giving this a five star but when we got there the three ladys at the desk seemed like they could care less about the customer service they provided. They actually very loudly made bets to decide which “loser” would do the guide. I found this very rude and unprofessional in a customer service setting. It really made me want to get my money back and not do the tour.

This little manor is an engineering marvel. They took down a whole English manor, shipped it piece-by-piece to the US from England, and reassembled it. The exhibits often dont fit together - they seem anachronistic or a bit out of place next to each other. That is because they have retained some stuff from the 20th century (American) residents. Our guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was entertaining. Worth a visit.

Beautiful English Tudor home! Entirely furnished with original artifacts from the 16 and 17th century. They kept one room intact from the 1920s and 30s when the new owners took hold of the house. Our first time visiting was for Shakespeares birthday. We arrived midway through the day. The grounds are beautiful, parking is easy. The event was fun for both adults and children - I was worried they werent going to have fun but everything was interactive and engaging. All the actors were funny and knowledgeable. We watched a slack rope fire and knife juggling act, played old (old, old, old) tavern games, watched a sword fight, made bookmarks and wrote letters with quill, ink, and wax seals. No food or drink at this event. It was free and well worth it!
