Usually a lot of people, but its never too crowded, you will always have your personal space. Its large, has a lot of space to play frisbee, soccer, football, etc. Also nice for fetch with a dog, a lot of people do that. Paved walk/runway around the perimeter. A lot of trees on one half, open field on the other, and a little kid park on one end including a water park.

Literally one of my absolute favorite places in the world. The trees over by the restrooms are the perfect place to hammock for 6 hours straight. The track provides a great opportunity for jogging. Theres usually different events going on here throughout the year such as festivals and music events. Just watch out for dog poop and students breaking chastity at night in their cars next to the carousel.

We found this park by accident. It has amazing trees and green grass. The kids played on the playground and then the free water park area. The splash pad has water slides! The kids played for 3 hours. There is also tennis courts. Everyone there was super nice. This is now one of our favorite parks.

The splash pad and carousel are great for families with young children. Plenty of space for young adults to play sports. Volleyball, frisbee, and spikball are popular during the summer. There is a paved path for walking or running that loops around the park.

Water park is fun and the kids had a blast but it can be overcrowded and if too many kids get playing on the water features the kids easily get hurt. Ive seen kids hurt really bad and sometimes parents dont pay attention. I wish it was a little bit bigger and had more water park splash pads spread out along the grass so kids have more places to play and not be crowded.

I would recommend porter park to anyone who lives in or is just visiting Rexburg. It truly is the hub of the city. In the warmer months the park is packed from sunrise long past sunset and even in the winter people are often at the park. Porter park is beautifully taken care of. Except for the fact that Mayor Merrill had all the trees on the East edge of the park chopped down. (They even left all the tree stumps and it doesn’t look very nice). Other than that the other trees are always trimmed well and the gross is always mowed. The carousel is only opened during the summer but it is such a cute attraction and only cost $1 to ride. The tennis courts are taken care of and are always clean and the playground seems very clean as well. Porter park is also a great spot for anyone with a dog. There are always dogs there it is the best! I would highly recommend porter park.

It is such a fun place. Theres fun events held here almost every month, like the Celebrate Youth event every year in July. Theres a splash park, swing set, playground, tennis and basketball courts and a lot of grass to run around in. People bring their dogs and other pets here all the time.It is by a busy road but thats because of the shopping area and apartments across the street. It is just a really big park.

Its in a really good location and it does well in serving not only those who live close by, but it is within easy walking distance from campus, main street, several apartment complexes, and several restaurants. Its wide open space allows for bigger activities and its many trees offer a great deal of shady places to hang up a hammock or have a picnic. The playground there is good for the kidlets to play on and during the summer, the splash park is a fun place to come and cool off. There are tennis courts for the sporty people and a sidewalk that goes around the whole park for those who enjoy walking or jogging. Altogether a great place to go and relax or to have fun with friends/family.In the Autumn, if you have the patience for it, the leaves from the trees offer a break from adulting for a while for you to get a pile together and be a kid again.

Youre tired, you just spent 3 hours studying for a test only to get a 67%. You need to cool off or you might find yourself on the wrong side of a police cruiser. Porter Park is the perfect place to go and just sit, walk, or run. Its got a paved pathway that loops around the park. A wide open field I like to fly my stunt kite on windy days and trees I hang my hammock up in for a good snooze. A playground for anyone bold enough and tennis courts for anyone active enough. The basketball court does leave a lot to be desired. The water feature is a nice touch in the summer time. Oh theres an ampitheatre that feels like a waste of money but thats just my opinion. There are a bunch of fun activities available here, including a water park for children and a carousel. This park is pretty fantastic. It has large fields, a nice playground, swings, a tennis court, a water park (I think they only turn it on in the summer), a carousel, and other such fun things. The only problem is that its too popular, so often times there are a lot of groups there. Depending on the day, it can get crowded (dont go on Monday if you are looking for space or quiet time). There is a splash pad for the kids. They have a carousel for all ages to ride. They were doing family night movies every Monday night during the summer. I dont know if they are still doing that. When we first moved to Rexburg we spent a lot of time at Porter Park. There is plenty of shade and plenty of open space to play games on the grass. It is close to pizza, hamburgers, hawaiian food and other places to eat. They are across the street. We love this place because our kids play for hours in the free water park. They also like to skate and ride their bikes along the path that goes the entire border of the park.Porter park also becomes the center of attention several times a year. After the 4th of July parade you can always find lots of people mingling and enjoying each. There is a new pavillion in the park built by one of the credit unitons. The credit union holds a huge picnic in the park every year with a fun zone for the kids and entertainment for the adults. The park has swings, and lots of toys to play on. It also has few large pavilions for parties. One improvement would be more benches and picnic tables scattered throughout the park. When there are a lot of people there sometimes it is hard to find a place to sit unless you bring your own camp chair. It has good bathroom facilities next to the tennis courts and the carousel.

It is a great park for just getting out and playing, a party, or big events.
