Love this park. Wonderful and quiet campground. It’s a great little getaway if you don’t want to drive a lot. Our dog also loves that it gets to run around here. Such a great place!
Beautiful place to camp and take family pictures!!
Nice quiet campground, pit toilets and water, big fire pit and picnic tables, shaded areas, and best of all no bugs.
Great place to go if you want a quick getaway without having to travel outside of Rexburgs city limits.
Campsite has running water, restrooms and fire pits. Sites provided privacy were far enough from town, and were right along a river for fishing. Unfortunately, the restrooms were disgusting or destroyed. The grounds were not well maintained and looked abandoned. Its okay for a night or two.
Secluded but close. Fantastic!
This is probably my favorite place to go running in Rexburg.
Honestly one of my favorite parts of Rexburg. You can walk down the back road and completely forget that your in a growing city. You can sit by the river and hammock with friends or go for a peaceful walk by yourself. I hesitated to write about it because I want Eagle Park to continue to be a secret of Rexburg. But, if you happen to come across this review, please know you won’t be disappointed.
The river is so relaxing
This is one of my favorite places. You can hide out from the city in the city. I love it!!
A real gem. Hard to find and quite. Feels like you aren’t in town anymore. Facilities for campers are decent but it’s camping.
Out houses, not the best place to camp unless you want to have an adventure.
I love this place! Full warning though. Its next to the water treatment plant. It can be pretty stinky!
Great place to have a campfire and roast marshmallows or even set up a tent! Make sure the snow has melted off the road in the winter or you’re stuck. Lots of woods and field. Bring friends!
I slept here and didnt die. Nice forested area where cows will absolutely be waking you up in the morning if the planes thirty feet away dont first. Also there are birds? One way in and out in the dark, just like you were taught.
I come here all the time! I love this park. Wonderful for camping near town, campfires, picnics, taking pictures, or just going for a walk.
The camp ground has running water and they provide toilets. (not the flushing kind) It was really nice to finally get away with my friends. Not a lot of people, but there were a lot of mosquitos. Make sure you bring bug spray.
This is such an interesting park. It has lots of camping pads and camp sites. We came here for a fire and it was perfect. I loved the amount of seating around the fire pits. I think this park has a lot of potential to be really great. It is super close to town, with a short but fun bike trail in the back. It really is pretty, but I imagine the mosquitoes can get really bad at times due to all the standing water there.
Great camping. Very secluded for Rexburg but tons of mosquitos. Bring bug repellent for sure. Not much to do besides camp. They have open Fields but nothing to do unless you bring it yourself.
Great campground! Makes you feel far away without leaving town. I just wish the airport werent so close with planes flying out at strange hours.
Great trails, relaxing scenery. Its a great little oasis from the growing city around it.
Love the ducks that roam this park! TIP; take bread, the duck like that and they will expect it from you :)
Great as a dog park as well as day use picnicking. There is a covered pavilion with picnick seating for probably 70. As well as camp sites and barbeque pits further down into the park.
Its a bit uncared for and rugged--but good!
Litgreat place to chill and be free. Great spot to get away from it all.
Impossible to find but great place. Only saw it in the dark so Im not really sure.
I love this place...mostly. Its great that its just right there and the campsites are pretty good, though the tables are pretty worn down. The bike trail is a lot of fun. My only real issue is the smell that occasionally wafts over from the wastewater treatment plant.
Its nature by the river and a construction complex, wastewater treatment plant and airport. Its not really as bad as it sounds, but it could use some work to keep ot nice. Lots of green space, a off road bike trail, a pavilion, decent bathrooms and camping spots actually make it an oasis in the middle of the other aforementioned items.
Its pretty neat, fun little place to camp or have an evening cookout.
Its a nice quiet park thats pet friendly!
The campsites are really hard to distinguish from the others, some are thrown behind campsites with no number markers Was unable to pay because they had no envelopes nor any indication aside from a 20font sentence inner the mapThere were a few sites that had fore pits with grass growing right up on the pit. A dangerous fire hazard. Its right next to factories which make it hard to believe that youre actually camping near wildlifeOverall, the campsites were still nice, benches - fire pit - 1 to 2 tent lofts. Lots of dead wood on the ground for a fire. Nice park nearby. Water too. Good enough for a last ditch site.
The park is well kept, and I like how the road that connects to the other path (the secret passage) has a lot of views in it, especially the river. Theres also a lot of spots to get a bonfire going, and its a good place to jog in the morning with the trees and the dirt road. Only thing is it stinks sometimes because of the sewage treatment that happens right next to it.
Small simple campground. Location is not the best and is hard to find.
Awesome! Great for barbecues and family games
Lots of memories here!! My husband and I were married there
What a hidden jem. Clean, running water, and trash cans.
Loved it water was a little low
Sweet little camp ground. $10 per night. Water but no power. Nice and quiet. A few collage kids taking advantage of the privacy. Great place for a picnic.
Beautiful gem of a camping places neatly nestled between the citys sewage treatment plant and airport. As long as you are down wind of the water treatment facility everything is great. You feel like you are in the woods with riverfront access to the South Fork of the Teton. Nice campgrounds with level areas for tents, nice fire pits, and picnic tables. You may hear a few planes taking off and landing, but that just adds to the fun...unless they start early.
For me, I dont have a vehicle at this time and I can only get away from the town of Rexburg either by walking or riding my bike so coming down here to Eagle Park campground is the next best thing for getting away from town.
Good place to go camping. A few spots were flooded, and it isnt well maintained but still a good place to camp!
We had a very nice section to camp in, plot #1. Only issues we mainly had was it smelled like sewage the further down the road you went. There is a lot of stagnate water in the area, which misquotes arose from. no proper bathrooms. Nice picnic tables and fire pits.
They keep it very, very, very, very clean & its just an amazing site to see especially at sunrise & sunset! The only thing Rexburg Park officials could do is open the bathrooms up earlier, at the actual park in front of the nature park & in front of the RV park. They also have outlets for the public to use at the park. Which comes very handy!! LLOOVVEE IT!!
Great little in-town campground next to the river. Only downside is it can occasionally be a bit odiferous when the water treatment plant is running full bite, but thats seldom. Also had an open field area with covered picnic areas.
Great project and campground. adorable family next to us and honor system payment ($10) make this place the cutest campground Ive stayed at
Excellent! Functions as Dog park Wednesday and Sunday evenings
Great for camping nearby
This is the last place I would want to go camping. Just took a walk through there and couldnt believe how awful it seemed. Over grown, bug swarming, dusty, dirty, not well kept campsite.
Love taking our dog here.
Fun place to take the family and the dog.
Good place to go for a day trip or a quick overnight. Its close and easy to get to.
Great place close to town to camp or hang out with friends...only downside is you can smell the sewage plant nearby
Great place to camp if you want to get away but still be in city limits
Nice place to camp and relax.
Nice out-of-the-way place to camp, firewood is often provided earlier in the season from when they clear fallen trees. The campsites arent the nicest but a great secluded location.
Good place to have a camp fire. Its kind of hidden so not a whole lot of people coming through.
Very beautiful landscape great place to bring your dog.
Very pretty but very close to the airport.
Very clean, nice campground, with bathrooms and running water. My only complaint is the humming noise from the nearby factory/refinery.
This is a great place to camp or to have a fire. Some parts of the park stink from stagnant water in the summer.
It smells like poop here.
Rexburgs finest
It was too wet. Right by yhe river
A horrible horribly place that smelled like it was built behind the towns sewage treatment facility. Also hard to find az its located behind a city park
Good times
Crowded
