Strongly recommend hiking the Frascati trail. It gives awesome vistas of the ocean. However, it can get muddy after a storm. See photo with my boots in the mud. The park and the trail are a stopover when I do my hiking loop around Miraleste Plaza. The trails are pleasant; even on a hot day. The trees and shrubs provide plenty of shade.Feel free to hit the Like button if my review has been useful for you?Thank you!
As of December 8: still under restoration landscaping. Fringe Pond was land filled and replaced by a concrete swale to reduce flooding risk and increase play space.
No frogs, no pond :-(
Honestly, its hard to compete with Miltenberger park (just right down the road). This is a very saturated park market and Frog Pond Park just doesnt hold itself to the standard of other parks in the area. The name is also very misleading, as there are no frogs within a 2 mile radius of the park. Without a major update and/or addition of frogs, this destination is worthy of no higher than a 3-star rating.
The natural park and small storm drain stream have aesthetic beauty; however the graffiti and strewn trash gives the park a uniquely urban feel. Park on the shoulder of the road.
Needs renovation. A landscape overhaul similar to that of Harrington Circle would really help the cause. Until then.... 2 stars.
