Youre gonna love Pelican Cove. Parking is usually pretty good. Take a nice walk on a manicured path down to the beach. You pass Nelsons on the way - grab a drink if you like. Great escape from the city. Nice hiking. Great place to bring out of towners.

You cant go wrong with any of the hikes along the PV coast, but this is an especially lovely one of you want beach cliffs and the potential of stopping for lunch at a cute little beach side restaurant.

Great scenic views from all locations in this area, and there is accessible parking available. There is a public restroom, and the surrounding areas are kept clean. Overall, I recommend this this location for hiking, running, or as a relaxing sight seeing type of day.

It was beautiful.I just wish that I wasnt a scardie cat to climb down on rock to get down to the water.The scenery is so beautiful the homes are so beautiful. Some of the high ways was a little scary because of the tight squeeze and winding roads.But to tell you the truth my husband and I stopped at so many a part of the high ways I dont know the name of every were we stop at.Sorry please forgive me.

Great views from the top, but you can also walk down and sit on the rocks near the water. The walk down is steep, but safe. Its a popular spot so there are typically people there. Ita very relaxing.

Great trail down to the rocky beach. Try to go NOW March and April 2019 = amazing flower SuperBloom. On west side as you first enter, there is a great hill that overlooks the highway and cliffs and lighthouse. On east side, there is a field with Pelican Statue overlooking Terranea.

This is nice place to hike if youre a beginner. It has some incline but nothing most people cant handle, my 7 and 10 year old kids did it just fine. Plenty of areas where you can take great pictures and if your lucky you can even get to see some dolphins off the coast like we got to see. Eazy to find and also have free parking definitely recommend it.

Great little rest spot along the Palos Verdes Loop trail. There are a couple picnic benches some grassy area and beautiful views. Its nice they have a parking lot. I sometimes park there rather than struggle for free parking at Terranea Resort. Please pick up after your dogs if you bring them. There are plenty of trash cans.

One of the hidden gems that have a dark enough sky to try astrophotography, if you are lucky enough to get a clear sky. The short, but steep hike to the pebble beach below is worth the effort.

Pelican Cove Park is a great rocky area to hike around and have fun on a warm day. This area offers some hiking trails that are a bit steep. I would not advise taking younger children here because of the terrain. I would also suggest bringing water and a small first aid kit. Otherwise, go explore this rocky cove

Awesome view overlooked far into the horizons; peaceful and quiet for picnic and walk your dog; convenient shopping center few blocks away.

Great views. The parking is free. A really nice trail that goes along the coast and one that goes down into the cove.

I took my family out here hiking and we got to enjoy the breeze and ocean air.

Interesting hike and photo location on the Rancho Palos Verdes coast. Connects to the Terranea Trail, so a great hike for Terranea Resort guests. Connects with trail to the Pointe Vincente area. Small parking lot at the top of the bluffs with a modern bathroom. Steep, moderately arduous trail leading down the bluffs. Much of the shoreline is very rocky, best navigated carefully with rugged footwear. Beautiful sights of creatures, boats, and ships with Catalina Island rising in the far distance.

Great place to unwind, at anytime of year, but especially during the summer. Right off the water, you get the view, breeze, museum, lighthouse, great photos, hiking trails, and cool shade if you want to sit and chill.Tiny museum, but just enough to pull you away from yourself. Please donate, its really a gem we should preserve. With all the big construction going on everywhere we need to keep the little that is left. With all of us visiting, simply stop by the donation box and drop a few dollars in the box.This place is very refreshing for those who need to refresh their batteries, a peaceful getaway, quiet as hell, and free parking. A getaway near by, stay for a few minutes or hours, however long it takes for you to unwind or relax. I could stay for hours.. . . But dont everyone visit at the same time !

Not much to do here but its very pretty. Theres a little trail down to the rocky beach but thats about it. Bring hiking shoes if you plan to go down to the water. Trail is very steep and rocky.

A very relaxing walk on the cliff w/beautiful sites of the ocean, ships, fishing boats, various species of birds, flowers/plants, people jogging/walking their various species of dogs, benches along the path to just sit watch the waves come in or read a book! My favorite place!!!
