Nice facility. It is a bit strange having the weight room/workout area just off the north ice rink do you hear the music a bit during hockey games. The south rink isnt as desirable as seating is sparse and its hard to see the entire rink so youd do best to stand to watch. Parking is a challenge here since the facility is used by many not just for hockey.
Great place to go and have had tons of fun here. Though if you are trying to learn how to skate youll only be able to learn how to skate on one side since they only allow people to skate on one direction.
Was super fun, not crowded and everyone was being safe and enjoying. Definitely a spot to check out
Well as of the time of this post, theyre open and ready to have you skate. Really nice facilities, clean. Staff friendly and willing to help. Have fun with the whole family.
I think the front desk staffs think their priority is to do their homework or read their book. They always seem to be interested in doing homework or reading book more than helping a customer and seem to be annoyed to actually do their job. I’ve had the WORST STAFF EXPERIENCE THERE. I like skating but their customer service always makes me think again if I want to go there. Management, please let them know that they are not being paid to sit there and do their homework.
Provo Ice Skating Rink is always fun whether you are taking the whole family or just a good ol date night with your spouse. I will always say yes to coming here and always recommend it to someone looking for something fun to do!
It was really fun! Their rental walkers were very useful for first time skaters.
Train your staff. Be consistent. Be professional.Really disappointed in the professionalism of the front desk at the peaks arena. The only professional person is Kate. She should be the manger or paid head and shoulders above the other people. They are all so inconsistent and don’t know the polices, times, or any clue about what is going on.If you’re gonna be closed. Be closed. Have consistency between staff. People pay money to use the facility and if the worker can’t even communicate reason why they shouldn’t be working there.
Amazing skating at an affordable rate. Never been on a rink as nice as the one at peaks ( to be fair, Ive never been on a rink that would be considered remotely nice). Nice people, and superb skating.
We went from 7-9pm Public skating and found out it is for more experienced individuals. Not the family experience we were looking for. But still fun and a great well kept arena. It was fun to have the kids watch the hockey game that was going on in the second ice rink.
Great place to skate. The evenings are very crowded, but the mornings are nicer.
Fun skating for the family. I will like the rink to change skating directions once in a while. We were fortunate that the rental skates fit adequately.
BYU hockey games are super exciting! They arent NHL level, but definitely still have all the physicality and hype of major leage games.
Its a great place to skate. We went on Monday night right at 7pm. It got pretty busy around 7:30 but it wasnt too crowded. There was a hockey game going on the other rink so we watched for a few mins.
Very nice facility. My kids took introductory ice skating lessons here and really enjoyed it. The instructors were nice and seemed to enjoy teaching. The rental skates werent of high quality, but they were on par with my expectations for rental skates. They have a hockey specific rink as well, along with indoor soccer fields that look pretty nice (see attached pictures).
Nice place. Temperature checks at the door. Two ice sheets, and a gym.
Play hockey here, great covid control and very good employees.
I love going here for dates or hanging with friends. Its fair pricing for a fun night out. Staff is friendly the facilities are well maintained.
Nice to have a ice skating rink nearby. It is often crowded.
Going ice skating here with roommates or as an FHE (family night) activity was an absolute blast while I was in college. I feel the price for skate rentals is completely reasonable. Having two rinks available is a nice benefit of going to this rink compared to other ice skating places that are smaller. In addition to general ice skating around in a circle, I have played broom hockey here and watched indoor soccer games too, so there are plenty of fun options at Seven Peaks Ice Arena.
I mostly come here to use the weight room. Plenty of equipment to use and good for functional type of exercises. Ice skating rinks are good but often crowded.
Better then the Provo Rec the staff there leaves you alone and the fitness instructor isnt catering to the BYU college students
Great customer service, they were friendly and helpful, my first date went amazingly.
I love ice skating and this is an enjoyable space to do it! It does get pretty crowded on evenings, but it’s open all year long since it’s an indoor skating rink. They also make sure to keep the ice as smooth as possible by taking everyone off the ice to smooth it out every once in a while.
Beautiful facility tucked in quaint downtown Provo.
We took our family to ice skate on New Years Day. It was packed but the employees did great handling the crowds. I enjoyed the music. And it was busy but not so busy there wasnt room. The skates were in decent condition, too. I enjoyed it!
Great place to go ice skating. Get there early, before the opening time to beat the crowd. You can get skates on and be ready to go when public skating hours start. Saturdays in the winter are very busy but doable.
Good place to watch a hockey game
This ice rink is fine as far as skating venues go. It gets used for a lot of different ice activities. Public skating is usually pretty crowded. Employees are friendly enough and they try. The price is just about right for rental and skating. They just seemed to overwhelmed by the ever present youth groups. They need to consider their parking capacity and expand it. Egress is usually fine.
Awesome place with great wifi
You can have a great time with friends playing tag or crack the whip. I personally want it to be bigger and less crowded so I can go faster, but this is great for beginners. Love the Olympic Oval for speed.
I have been playing soccer here for over 4 years. Its the best!
Went for my daughter 6th birthday party. My first time ever going ice skating! It was loads of fun! Id go again! My daughter finally gained confidence in the last hour and started skating on her own! She now loves it as well! Great place for family fun!
Good ice skate rink but I wouldn’t recommend getting your ice skates sharpened here. My skates came out dull on my left skate so I headed to a hockey shop in Murray to get it sharpened
My Dad used to say to my sister that she was his favorite daughter. He only had one daughter. This is my favorite ice rink.
Admission is really cheap but the hours for the public are variable and short. It was only open for 2 hours on a Saturday afternoon. However, it was fun. An ice monitor gave me tips on how to ice skate better when he saw that I was struggling.
No one was wearing masks and no one was social distancing when asked absolutely ridiculous
I love this place its my favorite place to I ice skate its indoors and I love it the staff is helpful and kind if you do go I would go with family and friends or on a date. I do think they need better more comfy skates but everything else I love when I went I saw alot of people I havent seen in awhile they do some classes to I recommend it.
Did my family birthday party here. Love the service by the manager. The people that wanted the ice walker things were insane
Its was fun and they play music
I love the fieldhouse gym here. Its usually not crowded, which gives you plenty of space to do what you want for your workout.
The only complaint I have is they do not resurface the ice during a public session. After the first hour, the ice is pretty chopped up. Resurfacing once an hour would be perfect.
It was not crowded and they have 2 different 2 hour sessions per day that you can attend.
Its difficult to know exactly how to rate this place. So much of it is fantastic. The facilities are clean and well-kept (minus the rental skates - those suckers are pretty worn). Its a fun, huge place with a lot to do and its great to have something like this in the community. In addition to public skate for $7, there is a separate rink for local and university hockey games. There are small indoor soccer fields, and a concession stand that sells hot chocolate, nachos, etc.
Nobody would sharpen my skates. Then I asked the boss Foster. With a big smile he said sure. Even last minute. Saved my life. Talk about picking the right guy for the job. So awesome. Thank you.
The skates are very clean and nice, best type Ive ever seen at a public center. Having two rinks is awesome and the ice was very well-taken care of. The staff were friendly in letting us in(Byu morning class) and the options for food and drink were reasonable. I appreciated the temperature change between the eating and rink seating areas.
Two ice age and. Public can skate for 2 or 2.5 hours. Plenty of room, right? Then an hour into the public time, they close one side and now everyone is over crowded on one arena. They need help.
Great ice.
Great place for skating or hockey
The girl at the concessions was so nice, and was very personable. I absolutely just loved her! We were there to use the indoor soccer, and it was great!
Good rink. Ice is decently clear. Rental skates are mediocre. No foot massage machines or similar amenities.
We have loved our experiences there but today was not great. First off, they are still advertising stocking stuffers and havent taken down their Christmas tree. The employees are doing their homework and not paying attention to customers and I requested to have music turned on 3 times before they actually did it. I had to speak to the manager for it to happen. I dont like giving my money to businesses that dont seem to care about you as a customer. Skating without music is just not fun.
**This is a review of the Fieldhouse Fitness Center in the front of the arena. **This is an offsite fitness center affiliated with Provo Rec Center located in the Peaks Ice Arena. Your membership to the Provo Rec Center allows you access to the facility and classes. They have weight lifting classes, circuit training, and free floor availability. They have TRX bands, grass area, and lots of weightlifting equipment. They also have amazing personal trainers that you can chose from to do 1:1 time.My favorite classes are:Fieldhouse Fitness- circuit style workouts that incorporate cardio and weightlifting (MWF)Weigh Training- Overall Full body weightlifting, typically there is a upper body section and lower body section. This class feels more CrossFit-esque(T, TH)Love Love Love
Best ice Rink ever
I went for a private event so I couldnt tell you about prices, but the skate rentals dont come in half sizes and there are these weird heat vents randomly placed throughout the venue. The ice is good right after the zamboni goes through. Wouldnt mind coming back to watch a hockey game.
Fun time for beginners to advanced. Everyone watched out for each other and politeness reigned supreme!
A lot of people on a Wednesday but still got out there easy enough and had a great time
We love the peaks! All their programs have been great in teaching our kids to skate. And, with our boys hockey career. Go Lone wolves! Seriously we love going. Also, pro tip. They are open year round. Go during the summer. Not as big of crowds
Great place for kids and families! We spend a lot of time here for hockey and it’s great!
The ice skating is really fun, and they have blue plastic things that people can use to help learn to ice skate. There are two rinks that you can skate on if they arent being used for hockey or events. The skates are getting a bit worn out though and needs to start being replaced.
The ice rink is a lot of fun and the fitness area is awesome. They have a ton of equipment and their classes are great.
Ive been here a few times for BYU hockey games. Its always a lot of fun! The facilities are clean and well maintained. The bathrooms have changing stations for babies and everything seems family friendly!
Great for our kids, had a great time with lots of family. Rental process was good. Will come back.
My kids took ice skating lessons here. They went from having a lot of fear on the ice to completely loving it. The instructors were kind and patient with my kids, as well as the other kids in their classes.
They have ice and grass in the same building. Its like a winter wonderland with the possibility of a summer vacation within a 1 minute walk (2 if you include time to take ice skates off). Highly recommend it
Absolutely loved this place. It was cheap and family friendly. Staff was prompt and friendly. We went for the public skate, and it wasnt crowded at all. Had some fun together before everyone started showing up. It was 16 dollars total for skates and use of the rink. The mens restroom was super clean and smelled good. Dont know about the womens though.
Loved taking my kids to their Try Hockey For Free Day! It really gave us some good insight to whether our kids are even interested or not. They had an hour from exactly on the hour to the hour, which was more than enough for my 5 and 7 year olds. The snack stand is a great deal for typical sport snacks; we especially love their $1 kiddie hot chocolate sizes!
Great Olympic weight lifting space. They have 8 racks with full plates, a turf area, a couple of treadmills, bikes, and rowing machines, and two cable machines. They also have two ice rinks and a full size turf field.
A little crowded, but great staff and nice ice rinks.
This facility is amazing. They have a gym ice skating and more. SOCCER HERE IS SO FUN ryan does a great job at running the soccer ️leagues
Great time, good atmosphere, they played Christmas music which added to the already cheerful atmosphere. Need some lace replacement on some of the skates but all in all, a good time for the family.
Went here for an activity. It was loads of fun. The staff is pretty friendly and the people you meet there even more so.
Get overcrowded for public skating. There needs to be some sort of limit to how many people can be on the ice at once. There are also too many little kids skating alone who dont know what theyre doing. Parents need to stay with their children.
$8 for 2 hours public skate on Presidents Day. It was crowded, but its big enough to allow room to get around each other (and I cant skate!) Lots of kids pushing pvc pipe walkers
Took my 7 and 8 year old here they had devices to help them learn to skate they did very well with them and i knew they where growing happy memories defiantly go here again fordates family and fun
It great for ice skating, and prices are fair from what Ive experienced.
Kids had fun ice skating, but would be great if they offer more food options.
We went for an ice hockey game which was awesome... But the bathrooms could use a good cleaning... Other than that it was great!
This place is my jam, I love coming here to watch the BYU and rec league hockey games, James the ice rink monitor guy is really helpful and engaging, offering a lot of great tips to those learning to skate. Its crazy knowing they had the Olympics here, knowing Michael Phelps swam through the same ice you skate on. Free skate is from 7-9pm every night, with added 2:30-4:30 pm on Saturdays. Buy a pass if you plan on coming a lot.
A great place for ice skating and watching hockey.
So Im taking ice skating lessons here and I love it️
Reviewing the field house portion of the Peaks Arena. Provo City Parks and Recreation have really made this part of the building first class. The equipment is brand new and plentiful. Olympic style and a few machines for cable type strength training. There is also artificial turf for weighted sled pushes or other types of turf training. Classes are great - they fill up quick so get your reservation made a week in advance.
Excellent place. They have two rinks and an exercise room. The membership is shared with other rec locations in Provo and isnt too pricey. I take the hockey classes there through BYU and love it!
This is a really great ice arena, with two rinks that serve various purposes. The equipment is of good quality and the staff are really helpful.
So good I could die like seriously love everyone there, they were all so nice and one guy said hi to me I think he though I was cute
Season Pass is definitely worth it if you skate a ton!My only issue is how crowded or gets. Lots of wards go here and I feel like they should do something to manage the crowds or large groups. It really scares me how unsafe it gets on the rink, even for experienced skaters.
Good activity. Dont undrtstand why they only have 1cpublic skate on Saturday
Nice family place you need to get the year pass ... Also soccer pitch and other activities
