Such a calm and wonderful atmosphere. The staff is very helpful and polite. They have live jazz music but what I Ike the most is the relaxed friendly feel you get as soon as you walk in. You are allowed to bring your own picnic chairs and food and seat anywhere, even thou the pizza truck offers delicious pizza, there is also Greek and Mexican vendor available.

Such a great experience. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience a good and memorable one! We really liked the atmosphere here as well. They had a pizza food truck which had some incredible pizza and a fresh donut food truck. Both were great

The wine selection is great and the view is fantastic. I love that it is dog friendly so I got to see plenty of dogs which is always a plus for me. We went on a Saturday and got there at around noon and didnt have a problem finding a table to sit at. When we were leaving every table was taken. So my suggestion would be to get there early if you want a table or bring blankets and chairs because there was plenty of room to set up your own chairs as well. I will definitely be going back.

What an awesome fall date night! Amano pizza is truly authentic style pizza, hands down! Fresh snappy tasty homemade wine, and warm sweet made on the spot donut holes! A tent is set up for events to be held, and you can eat at a wine barrel or picnic table. Dont miss this beautiful weekend thing to do

Wonderful, cozy and laid back winery. The wine selection was good enough to sit with friends and relax. I loved Savingnon Blanc. The best thing about this winery is that you can bring your snacks, its great for families and there is shadow.

My fiancé and I tried this place out for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. Way more casual than Newport vineyard. There was a food truck and a donut stand for fresh food. People had blankets and chairs to sit in the grass. Hopefully we make it one more weekend before it turns too cold!

I love this winery. They have an expansive setting with plenty of outdoor covered and uncovered seating, with plenty of lawn space for folks who want to bring their own chairs. No matter where you sit youll see gorgeous views of the vineyard. Their wine is also quite good and there are plenty of tasting and bottle options.

By far the best winery in the state! Bands on weekends accentuate the already beautiful picturesque surroundings! The wine choices are enough to satisfy any palate. I prefer white and the the skipping stone white based on the cayuga grape is fantastic.

I LOVED it there. So cozy, they have some charge, I believe 10$ cover for entering...The wine is good, not something you havent tried before but I liked the choices there. The best thing is the ambience, coziness, laid back style and lobster roll/tacos truck. You can bring your own stuff like cheese etc.

Beautiful setting and good wine with live jazz! The food truck was delicious too. The only downside was the confusing wine tasting schedule... They said it was available until 1pm, so we ordered at 12:55 but they then said they were “out” because it was labor intensive...

Don’t follow the website information about the wine tasting fee’s and location. They haven’t updated their information with the changes after Covid-19. I called to ask about the wine tasting and I was informed they were doing the tasting, once arrived there I was told, they haven’t doing tasting since March. Please updated your website. Very disappointing experience!

Would 100% recommend to anyone going out towards Newport, or even if you arent and want a great vineyard to try!

A quaint vineyard with very helpful staff. We had to drink out of plastic and there were no tastings of course but that was fine. The gentlemen all had a French accent which was unexpected. A lovely experience sitting out between the grave vines drinking the just released 2016 cabernet franc. The wine was nice and not fruity with a soft not to dry finish.

I have been to this vineyard on multiple occasions because I truly enjoy their variety of wine. The Cab Franc is truly amazing and a must buy. What ruined my most recent experience was that while enjoying my wine tasting with the bartender I did notice the manager Interrupt the bartender to correct her which might be settled better not in front of customers.

Beautiful property. Staff were nice but its $15/person with very minimal wine pours. Also, no cheese or anything included. Its cheaper to buy a bottle of wine than to do tasting for two people. We would have bought a bottle if the tasting wasnt so expensive. Wine tasted good though.

I Brought my parents, my wife and our 1.5 year old daughter here on a rainy Saturday afternoon and this place was jamming! Probably 6 bridal parties at once. We were a little intimidated at first being our first time there; But we were still well taking care of, the person doing our tasting was knowledgeable and friendly. Once we got a good look around there was a pretty diverse crowd there. There was a jazz band performing inside which was nice (especially for the kid who loves live music). Despite the bad weather there is a great outside area for tastings and just to sit and chill with a glass or bottle and be protected from rain (or the heat on sunny days) Great atmosphere with water views just peaking out over the vineyard. The wine itself is quite admirable for estate wines. Which is pretty uncommon around here for vineyards to have all their wines be 100% estate...Im a little skeptical but again only because it does taste good. Price for a tasting a little higher than other wineries at $20...(better off buying a bottle or 2. Best thing about this place is that they do not use herbicides or pesticides (according to them) on their grapes. That is a huge bonus for us. We will certainly come back to Greenvale Vineyards with family and friends.

The Chardonnay was definitely my favorite, but there is a wine for everyone here with lots of variety. They had some wonderful live jazz and beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We visited another vineyard after and I was not pleased and told my friends we shouldnt have left this one. It was a little grey and rainy but the vineyard was gorgeous. Great way to start a weekend away!!

My husband and I have done the complete Connecticut as well as the Coastal Wine Trail and we’re disappointed by this vineyard. Of 45+ tastings in this region we have never been charged extra for “sharing” a tasting. We typically do this so the driver taste and still drive when we visit multiple vineyards. The pour was light and the wine was ok. In fairness I can’t tell you conclusively how the wine was because some of the tastings were blended with the previous wines as no one thought to rinse when switching especially from white to red. Better experience at Newport vineyard or carolyns sakonnet vineyard.

Driving up to this vineyard, it has so much potential. Tip#1 - Stop at sweetberry farm for a bite to eat or snacks for your visit.Tip #2 - avoid the middle aged woman who snaps at the staff and interrupts them while they are in mid conversation with you to tell you how special their wine is (limited reserves, made on premise, yada yada). I felt bad for the people that work there.Tip #3 - skip the $15-18 tasting (more if there is jazz...price added to your tasting for some reason), buy a bottle, hang for a few minutes and try Newport Vineyard for a more relaxed environment in a massive factory-feeling vineyard with wine, beer, and positive people.

I have been to Greenvale Vineyards many times. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the people that work there are both pleasant and knowledgeable. My favorite wine is the Cabernet Franc but honestly I enjoy them all. Id have to say the live jazz music in the summer and fall time really makes for a wonderful afternoon. Whenever we have company we always take them to Greenvale. Its fun, relaxing and we dont have to worry about meter maids. Well worth the trip.

This place is beautifully situated on the Sakonnet River on a slope that offers magnificent views and from a terraced vineyard. They have a wide variety of wines on offer in this idyllic setting. Frequently they have music to add to the atmosphere. Tours by knowlegable guides are available. I recommend late summer and fall for a visit.

This place is the best. Bring a blanket or chairs and dog and lay out in the grass listening to live jazz on Saturday afternoons. They sell wine by the glass or bottle and have tastings. Great pre-game spot before heading to polo a mile down the road. Nice friendly people working there. Oh yeah, the wine is great to.

I recently had the opportunity to visit Greenvale Vineyard on a trip down to Newport and had an absolute blast. The location is truly gorgeous and I would definitely recommend bringing your camera when you visit. Our tasting guide, Maggie, was very knowledgeable about the vineyard and their wines, but also suggested other places to visit and was just generally very helpful. Definitely talk with her when you go and be sure to have a glass of their Chardonnay - its delicious. This is an essential stop if you are looking to relax and enjoy some great wine.

I ordered a case of wine to be sent to my brother in Arizona for Christmas. I was assured that it would be delivered before Christmas. It wasnt until December 29th that I found it had not yet been delivered. When I called the vineyard on the 30th, I was told that the wine had not even been shipped. When I asked why someone didnt call me to tell me they had no answer except to say they were sorry. This was a very distasteful experience and there can be absolutely no excuse for not having the courtesy to call me if there were a problem with the order. Needless to say, I cancelled the order and will not be returning.

Disappointing experience, Went out to Newport for a weekend away, found the Harvest Festival listed on the weekend events. My sister and I took a ride out, beautiful area, lovely grounds Parking is a nightmare! The most disappointing aspect was the charges for the Tastings. I have been on MANY a wine tour from Ma. to N.Y. to Calif. and never run into a charge for a tasting, not only that but one would think that that little fact would have been included in the description of the event. I didnt appreciate going all the way out there and being surprised with a fee. The person we spoke with was less than friendly and acted as though we should have been aware. an uncomfortable visit but a lovely site next time bring lots of money!!!
