You can say I walked back and forth between two states in the Union! . I have either walked or rode my bicycle, Bicycle! Bicycle! I want to ride my bicycle.. oops, as a kid. My kids have walked back and forth twice. I watched a fireworks show from the bridge. Maybe you will get to see a ship bump into the bridge, again! I have traveled on boats beneath the bridge. I dont know if they still have the multi color lights on it at night anymore. Great views! You can see the PORTSMOUTH Navel Shipyard, not Kittery, I dont care what the US Supreme Court says!Update: Sunday, October 2020; On the Portsmouth NH side, I believe it has its own parking lot. You may have a chance of finding a space. Parking meter available.

Cool bridge. Stay a while and watch it open for ship and boat traffic. Walk to Maine and have some pizza or bar-b-q (or New Hampshire and have a drink and fancy Dinner, depending on where you are).

Well maintained drawbridge that allows large ocean ships to come from the sea into the waterway. Worth watching it work. Most newer bridges (like nearby I95) have ample clearance.

A really great bridge. Very bridgey. Consistently goes from one shore and back. It sometimes goes up and down, too, but not without warning.

After a long awaited opening for the new bridge, connecting Maine with New Hampshire, Kittery and Portsmouth residents are happy with the results.

Travel across it a lot. Like the old bridge better but new one is much easy to drive over and a lot safer.

Wonderful bridge linking Portsmouth to Kittery, great walking experience over the Piscataqua River with four overlooks to enjoy harbor and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard views.

An easy stroll will take you into Maine and the lovely little town of Kittery. The views on both sides are worth the walk. Take in the landscape of downtown Portsmouth on what side or the piscataqua river which winds down into the naval yard. You’ll see nuclear subs coast guard skippers if you’re lucky

As bridges go, this is one of my favorites.

The Portsmouth Memorial Bridge is one of three that connect Portsmouth NH to Kittery Maine. Very cool bridge with lots of pedestrian viewing areas for the harbor and Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Bike and pedestrian friendly too. Awesome to be on this bridge when a big ship is passing through.
