Clean, big, and a great place for kids to run around. There are play structures and swings for toddlers and big kids alike. Everyone has always been friendly when weve gone. Thankful for the shade trees this time of year especially!

Nice big park. Lots of space. Basketball court, kids play ground, huge field, lots of walking space too. Covered picnic areas too.

Relaxing place to take a morning walk or bring your pet. If you intend on going at night, watch out for the sprinklers as they may sneak up on you

This park is amazing been coming here since I was a kid lots of big open fields, baseball field, basketball court, playground in sand! Has nice open fields to let dogs run around and be free is next to a high school Desert Vista but is safe often see cops near. This park is a flood park meaning when rain comes down it all ends up in this park as a kid we used to go and play in it other kid do itt know but be careful water can bu unsafe usual trash in water now so be careful but have fun vista canyon park is a must lots of fun to be had there also track teams do run during the school year

Love the park but people let their dogs off leash even though signs clearly state its not allowed. Makes my dog go crazy trying to run with them while on the leash.

Great place to walk your dog. Park needs maintenance bad. There are cones set up for several weeks. Hope it happens soon.

Large expansive grass and tree spotted low flatlands designed for multipurpose use. Picnic tables, some covered, and soccer goals as well as baseball dugouts and small grandstands(three rows small) line the areas. Multiple dog owners had enough space to throw balls great distances during fetch and the dogs were none the wiser until owners closed their proximity with deliberate intent. Walking loops while spinning six Pokestops for goodies is attractive enough. But then to discover two, yes, two Gyms at opposite corners of the walking loop is just dreamy. Enjoy, but after rains they are heavily flooded with runoff water and muds will linger on a bit.

This is a nice little park--we went here just to hang out for a little while. There are awnings to get out of the sun, because it is definitely hot here! Bring water!

Really sad- this used to be a good place for the kiddo to play. This park has been ruined by the local teenagers. Many mornings, there is fast food garbage, cigarette butts, and beer cans littering the playground. The smell of marijuana is not uncommon.IF you decide to take your children here to play, you should do it BEFORE the high school lets out, because the teenagers bring thousands of F-bombs and they use them loudly.

I run here once a week for Cross Country and the park is always clean, nice views, and good neighborhood. The bathrooms are really dirty though.

A good neighborhood park. Nice walking path; it now has sidewalk markers for the 0.6 mile loop, with markers every tenth of a mile (2017).There are two playground structures (no shade canopies), a baskeball and volleyball court. A lot of turf fields, but not much shade.Great views of South Mountain, distant views of the Estrellas.Good birding for a suburban park. Red-tailed hawks nest at the nearby High School. You will also see thrashers, mockingbirds, as well as the typical doves, starlings, and grackles. Not many pigeons. On summer evenings you can see up to 30 Lesser Nighthawks at dusk. Also, look for uncommon finds like Says Phoebe, American Kestrels, and Western Kingbirds.

Not very well taken care of. It has a small playground with old squeaky swings, ruined grass in some areas and the park itself is always full of people practicing diff sports as its right next to high school.

Small park with a few diamonds, fields and a playground. We were here toward sundown and got very uncomfortable. Not many people walking around this park (not even their pets), and we were asked for money quite a few times. Then a large group of high school boys started playing on the playground. I wont be taking my kid back here again.

Large fields for lacrosse, soccer, baseball and such grounds are well maintained but the restrooms were disgusting
