Beautiful trail, extremely easy to miss from the road while driving; there isnt a parking lot, just a little patch of bare ground to park in. It begins with a short stretch of trail between chain link fence and some backyards before you get to the truly scenic part. Steep in parts with difficult terrain, extra rocky. Wonderful saguaros and views of the city and of the mountains.

Parking area not marked. I drove past it twice with Google Maps guiding. Park in the dirt area behind the yellow arrow signs, where the the road curves. The trail itself is pretty good. Not well marked at the beginning, so keep a sharp eye out, so you dont get off of it. Id call this a medium difficulty trail. A bit steep at the beginning, but not that hard once you get into the canyon. The nicest part is that this trail is not heavily used. Very quiet and peaceful compared to other South Mountain trails.

Beautiful way to see Arizona! The trails are marked clearly, and there is plenty of signage to mark direction, as well as signs identifying the local plants and wild life. Bring shades, water, sunscreen and a hat though! Also make sure to watch any little ones you have a long like a hawk because there are sharp plants and a risk (low) of dangerous animals like snakes. Be sure to ask the friendly staff at the main office area for anything you may need. They were wonderful guides to us when we were there for company team building!

Very clean on the trail itself and definitely on the easier side compared to most other south mountain trails, an easy afternoon hike.

Not a bad Trailhead and good views of the city. However, the trails here are pretty rough, and to be honest, there are a lot of weirdos who hang out around here. Not dangerous people, just a bunch of weirdos.

The parking was hard to find and there aren’t many spots. Make sure to check it out early in the morning or late at night. The beginning of the trail passes by behind houses and then passed a training sight.
