Janelle at the City Hall Visitor Center was absolutely amazing. We have never been to Philadelphia before (visiting from Australia) and were lucky enough to be spending 5 days there. Janelle gave us a list of things to do to ensure we saw the best that Philadelphia had to offer. We returned a couple of times to buy a gift and to thank her and she remembered us both times. So friendly and accommodating and an absolute credit to the visitor center. Thank you so much Janelle. You ensured that we left Philadelphia with the fondness of memories. We had an amazing time.

My daughter and I attended the Monday 12:30 tour on Dec. 2. The group was a good size with people from Scotland, Italy, Mexico and various States. The appointed guide had interesting information to share. Unfortunately, she had a weak voice due to a virus for which she apologized. In this circumstance, a microphone would have been very helpful for all, but especially for those who travel so far to attend this tour. The Tower Tour was a joy and the 5 person elevator man was an absolute delight!

The view on top was fantastic, and the city hall itself was beautiful. The tour guide, a middle aged lady, was terrible. She just wished everything to be over soon and we were left intimidated due to her attitude.

We did the tower tour and it was awesome! Buy your pass at the visitor center, go through security, then up an elevator, then an escalator, and finally a tiny tiny elevator up to the observation deck. Amazing views of the city!! Even saw one of the Peregrine Falcons dive-bombing some pigeons! Also bought our Phlash passes here, which was the best thing ever! $5 lets you ride all day. Totally worth it for a day of sightseeing!

Wow, they say Philly is the City of Brotherly Love! The young lady at the counter was extremely rude and pretty much no help at all. Although she did give us minimal information about the PHLASH Bus, which we used to get to some sites. She should quit her job if she hates it that much. You would think that this was the one place that would help visitors. We did get a map that we found in a rack.I got more information from 4 kids selling manicures and Crayola marker tattoos outside our Airbnb townhouse. They were a hoot and told us about several great places to visit. Believe it or not, we followed their advice. Thanks for the great information guys, you redeemed the Philly Motto. The Visitor Center should hire you, the 3 stars are for you.

Nice place to visit. Also go to the top of City Hall. Great view of Fairmount Park, both rivers, and Skyscrapers. All right there under William Penn. There are views from other high buildings too.

Myself and my colleague popped in from Ireland for a day in the city. The manager and store assistant were super friendly, gave us lots of advice for what to check out in the 6 hours we had in the city. They also kindly gave us 2 free mugs for our travels. When I come back to Philly Ill surely be popping back in!

The actual ride up and the view is pretty awesome. But it shouldnt really be called a tour. You just wander through a back entrance and find your own way down scuzzy hallways. The waiting room has some info and my elevator operator was very nice. I was not impressed with the visitor center employee. I walked up and she said hello and I said, Hi, Im wondering if... and as I was talking she kept saying Hello over and over again. I was so confused and smiled and continued with my question. She kept saying Hello in a rude voice (at least 5 or 6 times!)until I stopped and said Hello. She said, Thats better. It was very condescending, especially after I had smiled politely and said Hi to her in the first place. I know she deals with rude people but I didnt need a lesson in courtesy. The tour is overpriced and the atmosphere could use some improvement. But still a great view at the top!

I have been to this visitors center and gift shop every summer vacation. Brian had by far the WORST customer service ever! He was very rude, did not wrap any of my breakables (which broke) and he charged me for hinge I did not purchase. He must make a commission or something. I recommend you do your shopping elsewhere. When I talked to the manager she was not much help either and did not care to address the terrible customer service with Brian. You would think that they would care on how they treat their customers especially considering the prices. If management would like to make this right by me, feel free to contact me.

This building is a must see for all history buffs out there! The 700 rooms are gorgeous with all three branches of government represented. If you take the tour request Dana. She is knowledgeable and witty and will share a lot of Philadelphia history. She pointed out archictecual details that I may have missed. Loved this tour!!

Those in charge of tourism should recognize the eye sore that are the trash cans everywhere plastered with ads or murals. Come on, keep them blank, totally ridiculous.

I didnt buy anything in there but I love taking the picture I took this picture from a flyby on a Grayhound bus doing 40 miles per hour it was cool to get this picture with one shot and it worked with only a little bit of glare from the windows on the inside of the bus I was in . I think the camera was only like a four or five megapixel maybe a three I was

Podted May 2017 following my visit: there is a daily tour of City Hall available for a small fee starting 12.30pm for about 90 minutes. This takes you to various rooms up to the 4th floor and was IMHO well worth the price if you have any interest in history

To get tix to go to the top of Billy Penn, go to the gift shop. Be sure to go early or call ahead b/c there is a very small 8-person elevator that limits the total number of visitors allowed up.
