Really cool place. Went there for a party on the second floor. Loved the old wood floors. Joes Coffee Porter was full bodied and flavorful. Wouldnt mind coming back to see the brew house in operation

Really wanted to like this brewery because the outdoor space is excellent, has a great vibe, and people were incredibly friendly. A brewery is rated on the beer and it was very disappointing. The worst brewery I’ve been to in the city from a beer standpoint.Multiple beers were flat and lacked flavor, some were so watered down they were barely drinkable. It wasn’t just me, others in the group felt the same. Also, the options were limited too. There are definitely better options for breweries in Philadephia.

Ive been to PBC many times but I felt it was pertinent to give an update with the current pandemic. They have a HUGE outdoor space with umbrellas at almost every picnic table, fresh water and treats for pups and a great takeout system so you can grab a pint AND keep everyone safe + healthy! Will definitely be coming back

This brewery seems small at first but after looking around they take up a lot of space. The peacock room is the main tap room and is right below a giant event space. The have a patio on the other side of the street with games to place and a trailer serving their beer. I tried two of their beers when i was there and didnt care for wither of them. Its a great place to go because of its history but i dont think i would go back.

I just threw my husbands surprise 40th birthday at Philadelphia Brewing and it was amazing!!! Angela went above and beyond and the bartenders Mary Ellen and Jeff were outstanding. I even was able to talk to the owner and she was so sweet. Everything went so smoothly and they were super accommodating. For the past 2 days my husband has been saying how happy he is I decided to throw it there. The space and decor is wonderful but the staff really was amazing. You could tell they cared and wanted you to have a great time. Thanks again!!!

7/2020 - appreciating and supporting this local business being opened. And the bartender was appreciative of my husband’s tip. Pleasant and a cool place to enjoy a beer or cocktail outside.Updating my post as the owner contacted us and showed concern regarding our experience. I appreciate her listening and investigating. We will go back soon.Third time is a charm. Had gone here twice before and never any issues- enjoyed the experience and product, but tonight 9/13/2019, whomever their name is behind the bar was rude, not customer focused and lost our business.

Solid beer lineup, and entertaining guide on the free tour. Typical craft prices - $5/pint or $10/taster flight. Seasonals are more interesting, but mainstays are flavorful, too. Their biggest reminder: beer, like bread, should be consumed fresh! Interesting old place.

We had my husbands surprise birthday party here and everything was AMAZING! We already loved the beer and cider but planning this party allowed me to work with Angela and meet some of the staff which I am so thankful for. Angela is WONDERFUL. She helped coordinate the party effortlessly and is friendly, responsive, and organized! Everyone at the party kept talking about how great everything was. I can’t wait to have another gathering here at some point! Thank you PBC!!!!

Absolutely beautiful place & spacious. The decor is stunning, iron, wood, wild flowers displayed, antiques, the bathroom is gorgeous & of course youre able to see the brewery on site. The staff, very warm, gracious & knowledgeable. I dont really drink craft beer & Sean took the time to explain & i sipped & tasted & found the that the Joe coffee porter was the one for me! DeliciousAlso what a treat to see live entertainment upstairs. A wonderful late afternoon & I highly recommend checking this venue out. Oh there is an outdoor area to hangout & enjoy your choice of beverage. I look forward to coming back. Thank you PBC

I love PBC ! They have an amazing beer and cider selection and they taste wonderful. Upstairs is their tasting room where you may also meet a couple of their brewery cats! They offer tours of the brewery and sometimes have live music. There is a small snack selection but keep an eye out for food trucks outside if you get hungry! Great staff with warm personality and a good location!

Ive been to my fair share of breweries and this is probably the best one Ive been on. Whats to love about it?1. Tours are free - you just have to make sure you show up on Saturday between 12 and 3, since thats the only time that tours run. There are no tickets, so it is first come, first serve. Our 1:30 ish tour (which lasted about 45 minutes) had about 30 people on it. Our guide (wish I remembered his name) was also very friendly and you could tell he was trying to make it an interactive tour, rather than a spewing facts tour. Plus, this was the first time I got to see beer-bottling in action. For most brewery tours Ive been to, Ive gone on a weekend, and they typically dont bottle on the weekends. So Im glad that I finally got the opportunity to see that.2. Beer tastings are 5 3 oz. samples for $10. They give you a sheet (almost like a punch card) and theyll mark down which ones youve tasted so far.3. The beers are really great. Whenever I do beer tastings, theres only maybe one or two that I like. But here, I liked pretty much all of them. My favorite was the Fleur de Lehigh (which is a seasonal Spring beer). The Joe Coffee Porter was excellent. I usually dont like coffee porters because they just tend to have a bitter taste, and not much flavor. But this one had a great, fresh coffee flavor.Tip - be sure to check out their store. If the season is over, you can get some SUPER cheap beer. When I went in April, their Winter Wunder was just $5 for a 12-pack. Probably the only time I wished I lived in Philly so that I can bring a bunch of beer back home.
