Nice place to be at all time. They have all it takes to be the best. Lots of images that will remind u about the past. They have have really turn history in to future because things there are so really and will help our children to have memories of the past.
9/6 visitObnoxious cashier attitude, she particularly tried to blame on the count of visits I made there. Her hair was like she is straight from the bed.The boss of this museum does not care of the exterior appearance of the building - two tall and branchy trees are blocking the panoramic view on the building.Museum facts: some text there glorifies toxic feminism and is very anti-white and pro Indian. These contemporary thinkers forget that the colonist were fighting for the land and survival and didnt have the knowledge people do have now.The Carribean isle of Saint Barthelemy was bought by the Swedes, but the local people preferred to be under the French rule again. That gives a glimpse on the Swedes attitudes of the time.
This museum is just a short walk away from the Sports Complex and is housed in FDR Park, an expansive city park outfitted with a lake and all. The building is beautiful inside and out.The museum is divided into several themed rooms that each showcase an achievement of Swedish Americans. I especially liked the Golden Map room and the New Sweden gallery. There are also rooms dedicated to noteworthy Swedes that influenced aspects of American life. The museum is less about Sweden and more about Swedes in America. It is clean, the architecture is beautiful, and it’s surprisingly modern! Check it out of you have a few hours to spare! It’s small in a way, but it still took me over two and a half hours. But then again, I wasn’t in a rush.
A magical place to learn about Swedes in America and beyond. For people of Swedish ancestry this is a place of pilgrimage.
Excellent historical tour. It was great to see the impact Swedes had on America.
I have to come back for more history!

Its always refreshing to relax outdoors in nature. Its a little slice of nature, right here in South Philadelphia.
