The city is rich with history and this monument is not to be missed. Located in a beautiful park near the historic district.

Such an amazing place. Clean and beautiful. Very pensive space, beautifully designed. The ever burning flame and unknown grave are finely complimented by the local art of the stoops. The fountain in the middle is unimpressive but a fine addition.

Visit in the evening. Very few people. Quiet. Highly recommend a stop. A great place to reflect on the history and great losses, to pay respect to honor those who fought for what they believed in. Many losing their lives in the process. So much history in this park.

Freedom is a light for which many have died in darkness. There are hundreds of soldiers from Washingtons army who died during the Revolutionary War buried in unmarked graves here. I prefer to view the Tomb and the Square as a Soldiers Memorial rather than a war memorial. Worth a visit to pause and remember.

A fitting memorial, being a stones throw from Independence Hall, the eternal flame burns here.

Worth the visit! Its a hidden treasure in Philadelphia. Its so close to Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and all the crowds they attract, yet the square is much more peaceful and green and pleasant. Its a nice place for a quite break from the nearby hustle and bustle.

Right near Independence Hall (the Liberty Bell) and other historic tourist spots. Now also close to the Museum of the American Revolution, which just opened. A great, small park to stop by on a detour!

A great place to slow down in an otherwise busy area of the city. The flame at the tomb has a certain mgic to it and the place has a touch of awe and reverence that you should experience.
