Atmosphere is amazing and the sitting area is fun, relaxing and very comfy ! Sitting waiting for my family to finish skating I felt like I was at the North Pole in Santa’s house and also in a very cute village I was impressed by the cabanas they had fireplaces in them and pillows and blankets and tons of games for the family to enjoy ! My only negative thing to say is about the ice rink and skates, both need to be a lot more maintained ! The ice has potholes and deep scrapes and the ice skates had torn laces and blades were dull, so if you want to keep this place nice then I suggest that you put more into maintaining the things that are most important to an ice rink but other than that we loved hanging out and feeling relaxed and we got to spend quality family time off the ice in the cabana and the food court area, no one wanted to leave and they normally do when we are at other places !! Thank you for thinking about the families having some where to spend time and feel at home

This place is so much fun! The ice was perfect and there were plenty of helpers to assist with pretty much anything you could think of. The arcade is super cute but a bit smaller than I would’ve guessed. The benches and swings around the rink are really a nice touch as well and the fire pit area is perfect to enjoy some hot cocoa while talking with family and friends. We went on a pretty busy day as well (Saturday after Valentine’s Day) and didn’t run into any issues with waiting or anything. Always check Groupon for great deals too! Can’t wait to go back.

A small amusement park along the Penns landing is the most underrated places in Philly. Play your favorite games or just take a walk along the walkway of Delaware river. The park hosts ice-skating in winter and roller skating in summers. Children would like here. Dedicated paid parking is available but would recommend to use street parking as it is cheaper and walk for 5 min.

I came here to roller skate when I was visiting Philly over the spring. I’d never been to an outdoor skating rink before! It was so lovely, skating around while looking out at the water and feeling the wind on my face. I wish I had had my personal skates on me because the fee would have been significantly less, but still $14 is not bad at all for skates and access to the rink.

Used to live in Cherry Hill and go ice skating here in the winter, and love that they have roller skating in the Summer now. Lots to do down here at Penns Landing besides just the skating too; a ferris wheel, a merry-go-round, and some fair type games to waste some money on for a very brief moment of fun. Theres also some very good beer right there!Had kind of a rough time with the skates themselves. A small frustration, but had to go back a couple tonnes because the skateslaces are all messed up. There were knots in them that prevented me from lacing up all the way, then the ends were frayed, making it almost impossible to get the lace through the eyelet...a minor inconvenience...overall a great time!

We took a weekend trip to Philadelphia from NYC during the holidays. We at the HIlton PEnns LAnding Hotel which is a 5 minute walk to the RiverRink. We decided to take a walk one evening. The Scenery is amazing with the ice rink, tree and shops set to the backdrop of the river and bridge. If you got on top you can get some great photos of everything. On a Sunday night, there were a lot of people there but I wouldnt say it was overcrowded. There is of course ice skating which is $4 for ice skating with a $10 for skate rental. There were helpers/assistants on the rink as well to regulate traffic and help out. There are a few discounts including college students ad group rates, so ask before paying. There is a small arcade there too...skeeball etc. There are a bunch of food options there including A dessert place, a pizza place, a burger place and also a Chickie and Petes. Expect to pay about $10-12 for a sandwich and $3-4 for basic beverages. The price mark-up was not as much as I expected, so kudos to them or that. There is parking lot there but I am not sure how much it is. (About $20 ish I would guess) There is also adequate staff there, so I never felt unsafe at any time.

Very nice place... But there should be an optional parking price for the people that dont actually want to ice-skate. $20 seemed a little bit extreme for just going in, walking around, seating and eating something quick then leaving. Not even 1 hour. Smh...Update: so the owner suggested that I should use public transportation FROM NEW JERSEY so I didnt have to pay $20 for his parking... Really??? Thats your solution. The ice is unlike any ice Ive ever skated on before; it was incredibly slippery so my skates would slide out sideways sometimes (perpendicular to the blade), as opposed to thick packed ice like at a Skate Zone. Its super fun. Although the skating rental line was ridiculously long the employees were super fast and the line went quickly. I would not suggest the last time slot, they ran the machine halfway through the previous time slot and it was already snowy when the last began and halfway through there were snow piles all over the place. Theres so much to do, even if you dont want to skate, including many warm spots.

Review №68

While the view is wonderful and the overall ambience is pleasing, I give 3 stars because the system of skate rental and time slots is poor. They keep people to time slots but no one checks tickets, and the skate rental staff are helpless when an issue arises of someone getting skates for the wrong session(not to mention the egregious line to rent skates). I do hope they can resolve some of these issues.
