This is an awesome place for those who like to cook and grill at home while enjoying an awesome view. The pool is a kids dream pool and the hot tub is the adults favorite or our favorite. Easy access to the beach. The staff were all very hospitable. They decorated for Christmas and its beautiful. We will be back.
So, I really thought what kind of dive place could this be, seeing how affordable it was!!!! Well I ate my thoughts and words!!! This place was exceptionally clean, convenient and had every amenity that our family needed! Staff were friendly and special shout out to housekeeper : Monica, you rock!!!!
A day before we to arrive my child tested positive for COVID. The hotel charged us anyway. Not a great way to treat people who cannot get a on plane.
Was able to get an amazing rate compared to other places around, been coming here to see family every year for last 6 years, stayed in multiple hotels across that time. The Cove is Fantastic. They keep the pool area very clean and it is great for kids playing or adults relaxing after dark, get out of the pool and take 20 steps down the ramp and youre on the beach. Feel like walking/running on the beach 4mi away youre at Daytona pier, all my mil bros/sros out there, just do it. Youll love it here, I will be staying here again in the future, hope they have a vacancy for me when I need it
Loved it. Theres beautiful rooms and pools (indoor and outdoor), and leads right to the beach.
I prepaid the reservation. In the small print it states I will ve charged an additional 22.95 plus tax per evening. The hotel was nice as are the other beach front hotels. They are competing unfairly with their price, as that is not the true price. I dont appreciate the bait and switch️
Where to start ! Very stunning from the outside ! But walking thru the hallways you wonder if you have switched hotels ! The rooms are good tho! A little disappointed in the way the check in clerks handle a missing reservation! They pretty much tell you if you do not have a confirmation number that your screwed, they dont try to do anything else, just very frustrating and there should be a system in place for problems as such because it does happen. Ohh and the the man at the front was great, the women not so much!! Wont be back ! But maybe its great for someone else.
Great hotel! Staff are friendly, and helpful. Facility is great for small kids. One small issue, when booking the room I requested that the daily resort fees be taken out at the time of booking, this was not done. I ended up with a surprise $250 fee when I signed in.
Very clean and modern hotel. With virus scaring everyone, I see constant cleaning. Rooms are very nice and all the help are very pleasant and helpful. The hotel is owned by Diamond resorts which operates hotels nation wide. Great place to enjoy the ocean with the comforts you expect.
If you are coming here for the water park with a slide and lazy river. Forget it wont happen. In fact the slide is gone. If you are coming here for the beach then it;s really nice except for the cars on the beach. Which are the norm for Daytona and Ormond. Not to many during weekdays but plenty on weekends. Place was at 100% capacity and parking was a slight challenge. Dont expect too much from the amenities (NO game room either) and you can have a great time here. I do have to say that the staff was great when talking to them in person. On the phone before booking we where told the slide and lazy river where open as well as the game room. This is the reason for the 3 stars. Dont like to be lied to.
I stay here every year. We really like this property
My family and I stayed here for a weekend and got an oceanfront view room 2bdr/2 bth efficiency.Pros: It had a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony and one of the bedrooms; it had the convenience of having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen; pricing was pretty affordable, and the area is great.Cons: The fixtures severely need upgrading (they were either loose or coming off) and the furniture is outdated. There were cracks in the ceilings and some the curtains had holes in them. After being there all weekend and we pulled the sheets all the way down on the bed, we noticed MOLD in the sheets! We wouldve said something but we were on our way out to check out when we saw it. We hadnt received a receipt like we were told so when I called to check on it, the receptionist was cold and sounded annoyed that I called.Dont think wed stay there again....
Shawn at the front desk was freaking awesome, helped us out totally, and Sara showed us the absolute fun we could have down there she was very informed about the activities around there so we had a blast thank you cove
Clean, friendly, great location, will use it again for business travel. Nice room with kitchenette and balcony looking over the Atlantic ocean
I was not pleased with this Diamond Resorts location at all. There was trash (spaghetti noodle, smashed peanut shell, bits of paper and toilet tissue) in the hallway outside our room door and doorway the entire time (6 days which we had to step over) we were there even after a maid brought us more towels! The carpet is our bedrooms (2) were clearly not vacuumed before we arrived and the floor in the kitchen and living room area couldnt have been swept. We called several several times about the phones in the room not working and the safe needing the lock cleared so we could use it. The outdoor pool, for which is why we chose The Cove, was closed also the entire time we were there. When we arrived on Saturday, the very small indoor pool must have had 25 - 30 people in and around it during a pandemic with no masks and absolutely no distancing. I should have known when the concierge told me oh well the lack of parking space would go away come Monday...
Being right on the beach makes it a great place to kick back and put your feet in the sand. Theres chairs and umbrellas for relaxing by the surf or you can hang around the pool and soak up the sun. Either way its good living. At 3.5 foot deep the pool is great for the kids but still works well for a quick cool down when the sun gets hot. Nice spacious rooms with comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and a balcony for coffee in the morning and drinks in the afternoon. The area is fairly quiet and most shopping is close so how can one not enjoy the Cove, its a great get away.
Covid-19 Cleanliness: Pretty good sanitation practices. Good number of folks wearing masks. All employees wearing masks around. 5General Upkeep: A little shabby in spots, 4.Helpfulness: A guy came with a drill with a long auger bit to help us put in our umbrella. That was a lifesaver. 5Overall: 5
This hotel resort very nice and clean. Really very good to family. The kitchen full, where can cook every. Here to hotel close its more restaurants. Beach site very nice. In hotel big pool what wait the childs. Out site more grillbake where be can take grill food. I can just say to everybody just come and visit this beautifully hotel resort!!!️these pick i did in hotel!!! Just look so nice!!!!
Great week to enjoy the beach!Lazy river pool, beach front access. Enjoyed every minute!
The room itself was nice and spacious, and the kitchen was wonderful to have.We did have really poor water pressure in the shower, and there was a lot of noise at night that sounded like it was coming from within the walls.
Our friends were staying here for the week so we decided to rent a room for the night to visit. The outdoor pool and beach area were nice for kids, there wasnt an adult swimming area. The indoor pool was pretty small too, about 10 feet by 20 feet, but at least it was an option. The grill area is next to the pool and the beach, so you get a view while you cook but then have to navigate the area to get the food back to your room. The rooms were dated and could use a refreshing, it looked like the appliances and counters where installed in early 90s. Our room, 308B, smelled of chemical cleaners when we arrived and then once we aired it out it smelled like someone had smoked in the room even though it is a non-smoking room. Our friends room did not smell, so it is probably just bad luck that our room did. I will also note that the room numbering is weird; walking down the hall the numbers on south side increase and decrease on the north side...that just stood out as strange. Overall it is ok, especially if you are coming with a family and can make use of the kitchen, otherwise consider something else as that is really the only selling point over other resorts/hotels in the area.
I am a recent Diamond club owner and Coming from Vegas @ polo towers I am horried with the quality of the rooms. We was NOT impressed and the VIP treatment that we are suppose to receive was obsolete l. The rooms were nasty as HELL..THERE WAS DRIED BLOOD dirty towels, chocolate cookies, chips, dried food on the tables and hair beads on the floor as well as some papers about abortion and pregnancy smh. Listen I am waiting right now to be moved to an ocean from room. And speak to General manager. Eddie from Diamond resorts helped mend how I feel for now by extending my vacation and apologizing wholeheartedly. For now I will remain a member. Plenty of more resorts to visit
I visited the cove on Ormond Beach for a family vacation over Thanksgiving. There were 14 in our group, so I was a bit concerned. After all, larger groups can post certain challenges.I could not have been happier with our stay the The Cove on Ormond Beach.I found the staff to be extremely accommodating and friendly. Whether it was in passing, entering an elevator, or sitting poolside, they made it a point to say hello and make us feel welcome. The rooms were in excellent condition and I felt at home immediately. considering we stayed for close to a week, having an in-room washer and dryer was a huge bonus for me.The walk-out balconies were also an excellent way to watch the sunrise as I drank my morning coffee Would I recommend The Cove on Ormond Beach? Absolutely.
Very clean and modern hotel! Very friendly staff! And loved waking up to this view!
Great place to bring the family along the Atlantic. Rooms are nice. Pool is for the kids, but its nice. There are lots of shopping to do around here and restaurants to visit that have great food. I like the fact that every room has a balcony. Its also nice to be accommodated with a dishwasher, fridge, stove and all the other things that go with it for cooking and cleaning in each room. This is my second time here, and I can say that I have not been disappointed. Its a safe area as well.
This is place is great. Right on the beach, close to shopping and restaurants, two pools (one indoor and one outdoor thats perfect for children), Friendly and attentive staff, nice size rooms, comfy beds, large garden tub in the master bedroom, all the conveniences of home! We would definitely come back again.
Service is exceptional here. The front desk staff is super friendly and offered local information on Daytona Beach which was helpful. Even though the weather was really cold the pools available were very well maintained and they are heated! Location is very close in relation to the boardwalk but not in walking distance. Still, just 2 minutes north there is a shopping plaza.
Beautiful resort!! Location was great! Ocean view from the balcony, and even though is close from Daytona beach is absolutely 100% different, more calm and relaxing, the pool area is really nice you have a lazy river and grills! Also the put some chairs in front of the beach for you to use without having to pay extra (first come first serve, try to go early)
Non ADA compliant hotel. Firstly, the rooms are small, the concierge was impolite and the amenities left room to be improved. However, my concern as a disabled person is the ADA accommodations and this hotel is severely lacking. I was treated rudely for being accompanied by my service dogs (one for mobility and one for medical alert ) instead of asking the 2 questions they immediately told me I was unwelcome, I explained the law and was brushed off and sent on my way . I came back down with printed copies of the law and was ignored. There are no rails in the bathroom. The doorways for the bathroom and rooms are too narrow for a wheelchair. All entrances that are not automatic doors, including the pool entrance are heavy doors with no electric system to operate the doors. Had I needed my wheelchair this trip I wouldnt have been able to access the pool . There is no grass on the property for a service animal relief station. I had to go to the neighboring hotel. I see lots of room for improvement in this establishment if only theyd listen to their guests. Until then, I will not return.
We stayed at The Cove on Ormond Beach the week of christmas in a one bedroom. Lots of room, fully stocked kitchen-just bring your own food, very clean, included a washer dryer stackable in room. The indoor pool is small, and only one small spa outside. The lazy river would be nice for kids. Pools, spa, lazy river and fitness room is shared between two towers but the entire property was very clean and staff is visible. The pool deck included an area with 3 large gas grills for guest use and easy access to walk out onto the beach. Across the street is an IHOP and just a short walk to stonewood grill restaurant. This property is owned by Diamond resorts so they will try to get you to spend some of your time doing a timeshare tour. #jbandval #adventureswithJBG #2019 #Christmasday
Rooms are great as is the pool. Great beach access.
Love staying here, we come here at least once a year. Love that we can get a 2 bedroom. They give a playpin and roll out bed if need be. Towels are included and they switch them out, this is great with 4 kids. The old building has no washer and dryer in the room. The new one does. We stay in a two bedroom, rooms 5 and 6 on any floor have the best views.
Its close to a lot of stuff but its separate and quiet
Friendly staff, management is terrible. Strict no refund policy hides a $100 room deposit in small print and doesn’t give actual notification of it till you receive the confirmation email. Great that they are willing to take advantage of guests during this time.As a local will not be recommending to any of my customers.
The day after I made my $900 reservation Covid19 cases hit a record high in Florida. Two days later they nearly doubled that record. Now I realize that my rate was described as “non-refundable” but you would think that a reputable company would make an exception in the face of a global epidemic that has suddenly taken off in their state. After all, the conditions of the contract had suddenly changed - the risk to my family became 2-3 times greater. They COULD have been nice and granted a one time pandemic exemption. They COULD have then rented the room to someone without small children who found the risk acceptable. But evidently they care more about getting money than the health of my family, and probably yours as well.So we will go. And if a member of my family gets Covid19 it will be their fault.
Great place! The customer service was outstanding. All the employees are very welcoming.
Absolutely amazing place! My family loved every second of our stay, beautiful ocean front, comfy rooms, and wonderful atmosphere!
We were checked in as VIPs and the treatment was awful. Our upgraded room was not available at 3:35pm, so we got the old dump even though Sara said there was no difference. The website claims granite countertops but we got an old non upgraded kitchen. They wanted us to attend an update of the Diamond scam but refused as our last stay we got robbed from them and a month later nothing has been done. We only stayed here since we had points to burn, but it would’ve been nicer at home.
Family friendly, but not full of rowdy kids. Lots to do either on site or very close by. Safe, easy to navigate neighborhood. Clean and well appointed rooms. The slide was taken down two years ago, but the kids never missed it. Between the beautiful beach that never feels crowded, and the lazy river to float around in youll never be bored.
South Tower 2 BR condo was extremely clean. Friendly staff. Good location. Love The Cove at Ormond Beach.
Location and relaxing ! Will be back.
Best hotel for the buckGreat staff
We stayed in the north tower in 2 bd with an amazing beach view. The elevator in the north tower was slooo
Beautiful beachPerfect for a vacation to getaway
Clean, safe and walking distance to quite a few restaurants.
Great affordable beachfront condo away from the bustle of Daytona but close enough to enjoy it all. Pool is a little small and only one elevator makes things a bit crowded.
Great pool area for the kids. Very clean and cozy room.
My experience here was beyond amazing! My family and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was the best customer service Ive ever experienced staying at any hotel before. Every single person that works at this resort is extremely warm and welcoming, and very attentive and accommodating. Check-in and check out is a breeze and the manager JoMarie is such a sweetheart. I would definitely stay here again. BTW the lazy river (outdoor pool) is so much fun and very relaxing at the same time.
Great front desk service cozy rooms great ocean views
Beautiful property. Staff friendly.
Well maintained rooms. The kitchen is awesome.
COMPLETELY AWESOME..It was our first time there..Everything was Perfect!! The rooms were amazing..ours had a washer and dryer in it..we didnt need it cause we only stayed 2 nights..the hotel is directly on the beach..the pool is my favorite..they also have an inside good sized deeper pool..check-in was easy and fast..it is a little cheaper going thru expedia...every employee was so nice..we Will definitely come again!!
I have stayed twice at this place. I like it a lot as it is right on the beach with a pool that is close to the beach. my son and I had great time on the lazy river in the pool but the slide was not open both times we stayed there. Our rooms were very good and had nice kitchen. Parking is a bit tight but you will find space for sure. They try to sell you discounted ticket for stay for one week only if you can listen to their time share presentations but you do not have to sign or buy it. Just say no thanks.
#romantic #quaint #oceanviews #cozy REALLY ENJOYED MY STAY HERE!
STAY AWAY from Diamond resorts and in particular their bounce-back stay. It is sold to you as a return-stay with Diamond resorts and no information is given about what this cheap offer is really about. You will NOT be able to stay at a Diamond property, but are instead sent to a small room in a Best Western Hotel or similar and taken to the Diamond property to look at it and listen to sales presentations. If you are a family of 5 like us, the room you will get is not going to have a bed for everyone. All the terms and conditions are withheld upon purchase of this promotional package, and when you call to reserve your room they will tell you what this deal is really about. We then requested a refund in order for us to book a room we could actually fit in as a family, and were told that this package is non-refundable. Another important detail that was never communicated verbally or on writing although I specifically asked for the fine print to this offer. I also asked if the offer applied to all 5 of us, and was told we would get a room similar to the one we checked out of. The clerk handed me a voucher and a receipt of my payment and no other information. After endless phone calls and emails with different departments, my request for a refund was denied and they have graciously extended my package and given me permission to upgrade my room so all 5 of us can fit, for an additional charge of $50. I do not plan to book a room with Diamond resorts again, and will request my refund by the help of my lawyer.
Very nice place. Would go back
The one bedroom condo was clean but this is my second time visiting and again the bed leaves a lot to be desired for us... Very uncomfortable with some lumps and uneven spots so this will be my last time staying at the Cove.
We stayed there the last part of December. Booked a one bedroom condo through Allegiant Air. Very clean facility. The room had a full kitchen and was stocked with all the necessities. Had a balcony with view of ocean. We would stay there again.
Clean and nice views
Nice view good reservation
WE LOVE THE COVE!!!!!.....OUR FAVORITE FLORIDA GETEWAY HOME......
Been going most of my life, have had great experiences. due to my parents being owners. unfortunately, diamond resorts bought it out and weve had a struggle/ fight to book our week. So Id definitely recommend using this facility as a hotel, But do not buy a resort from diamond!
Didn t like overlooking parking lot !
Great location, clean, could use some updating, really hard beach chairs (but free).
I love everything about this place!! The in room washer and dryer was the greatest after a long day on the beach
Outstanding view of the ocean.
Our favorite quiet little get away. Superbly relaxing. Grills, hot tub, small lazy river, outdoor and indoor pool, and they have towels, chairs, and umbrellas..:-)
A great casual place for family time. I havent found another thats as laid back, family friendly, with a fun pool and easy access to a gorgeous beach. Its not a top end resort but its perfect.
We had a great vacation at the Cove! We stayed 5 days and wished we could have stayed longer. It is located in a great part of Ormond beach. There are fun restaurants and donuts shops in walking distance and grocery stores. The amenities were great for our family - proximity to the beach, lazy river, and grills.
Its a nice place for a beach getaway.
Very well kept property with friendly and courteous staff.
Wonderful place you got beach and pool fun for kids too
Best price. Great room. Staff was amazing. No one was at the beach so we had it all to ourselves... coming back here for sure
Beach! Wave pool! Family fun!!
Stayed here for the Daytona 500. The price was very reasonable and facilities were verry nice. All the staf were very helpful and friendly. The best part about my stay was the condo efficiency, it was clean and there was more than enough space. A one bedroom can easily sleep up to 3 people comfortably. Will definitely be back if in Daytona/Ormond Beach area.
Great view of the ocean
Not really a resort, very deceiving advertising no bar, restaurants, no slide at the pool and don’t even offer breakfast. Small inside pool the outside pool was pretty small as well good for little kids but that’s about it. Ocean view was good. Room was clean. Not worth the money. Check in time is 4:00 and check out time is 10 am pool doesn’t open until 9am so if your staying for just one night don’t waste your time/money. Disappointing!
Good enough for the price. Dont let the photos fool you. There is no water slide - it was removed. The lazy river does not move you along. You have to do the work - cant be lazy there! And the water features of the pool are also not working.Parking is inadequate in the evening so get a spot and walk to dinner. At least the air conditioning works!
So happy to officiate a beautiful marriage ceremony on Ormond Beach at The Cove! #oursimpleceremony #beachwedding #floridaofficiant
All the workers here are very polite and professional
Beautiful room, beautiful views!! Cant wait to stay again
Nice, older Resort on Ormond Beach!Security very helpful. Thanks!
We surprised my sister with a birthday trip to Ormond Beach. We reserved our room at The Cove on Ormond Beach. My first impression was this is a small resort. When we got in our room it wasn’t clean. The furniture was old and the room had a bad smell. We went to the Dollar General and brought cleaning supplies. We cleaned the room ourselves. Then the next morning we went to get breakfast and they said they only served breakfast on Mondays!!! That’s after everyone has checked out!!! We paid over $200 a night to get a dirty room and no breakfast!! NEVER again!! I took pictures of the room to post but it doesn’t allow you to upload them!!
Very clean rooms and great view of the ocean.
Great clean facility, very friendly staff. Pool is nice with lazy river. Family friendly. Pool could definitely use a tiki bar of some sort, as that is what we are used to with Diamond Resorts. There is no outside dining or drinks unless you leave the premises completely. Another suggestion I would make is for security to enforce the no-smoking rule. We have had to call-out people smoking around us on the balconies & especially at the pool. Every day we were there, there were several people smoking with kids around. It was disappointing. Otherwise, due to the quality of the facility, I am rating it a 4, as I feel like those things could be easily improved on.
MONGOOSE love the place nice people nice view also you can follow your champ(DENNIS MONGOOSE MORRIS)
Great place. Tons of amenities. Friendly guests. We had an awesome stay. Security guards are friendly but a little weird, haha.
Hospitality #1...great staff, accomodations, and location
Great location on the beach. Nice size pool and common area to watch sports. Staff is excellent.
I like because very close to the beach and the waves were great. Swimming pool is too small to enjoy. should be at least 4ft
We love the cove. Rooms are always sparkling clean! It is such a great family friendly place! The staff is always friendly and the current activities director is outstanding!
Clean, easy check in and out, nice pool, awsome to have complementary washer and dryer. Comfy queen bed.
The 2 bdrm is very spacious and CLEAN. We stayed in the south tower on the first floor which came with a washer and dryer. It was very convenient to the pool and beach. The pool did not have a water slide but the other features were working. No onsite restaurant but an IHOP directly across the street.
The Cove, north building, was extremely clean and quiet. We had two bedrooms and two bathrooms with a tv in all rooms ( except the bathrooms). The place was so quiet that when we closed our respective doors, we could hear nothing from the other rooms. All the balconies are on the teo sides of the building, so make sure you tell them you want a balcony with a good view of ocean. The beds in the bedroom were very comfy. The living room pull out couch was less comfortable. The staff, for the most part, were very kind and helpful.I would definetly return..
We had stayed here on March 28 and 29 and made reservations to come back the following Friday and Saturday. We had friends that were staying there all week. On Tuesday the governor of Florida said the entire state would be on lock down. My friend that was there went and talked to the front desk person Shawn and asked about both of our situations on Wednesday and he assured us that we didnt have to cancel that if the lock down was ordered we would not be charged. We were charged and we tried to call the hotel directly and they said that the super visor denied us getting our money back. This has to be one of the cheapest things i have ever heard of especially during these times. I will continue to post on social media about this and it is really sad that the parent company wont do anything about this. I will be sending them email about this situation also and hope nobody supports Diamond Resorts because of this terrible customer service atrocity.
