Rooms are great very clean. Nice pool and great area. Enjoyed our stay.
Very good, nice attentive staff, clean corridors and the swimming pool area. Great golden fish in the pond near pool. We are here for 4 days, Nov 25-28, 2020
Horrible check in. Waited 3 hours to be able to get our room. Apparently, preparing rooms for owners that are currently waiting to prevent their inconvenience is a bit too much to ask. Contacted the desk for updates on the status and was ensured a call back would be made when available.Never received a call of the status, and when the room was ready, no attempt was made as stated. Only found out when another call was made to the front desk that it is ready. During the check in process, the front stated that there was no intention to communicate the availability to as stated. The front desk employee was argumentative and unprofessional.
The view is great and walking distance of a few restaurants. But the dining chair in the room had rust on them. The air conditioner only cooled off half the room and the door to the bathroom kept on getting stuck. The front desk people were very rude. They charge you $25 + for missing pool towels and charge $10 per room key you don’t turn in which is stupid. They also won’t let you check out unless you bring down all four pools which makes no sense .
Great place. The manager walt is very courteous. I appreciate the professionalism this place shows. We love the beach bucket too.
Check in was supposed to be 5 which is already a late check in compared to other hotels in the area. Arrived at 5:15 pm. Room still not available. Over an hour went by and still not been given our keys. After explaining my frustration with the clerk she then stated for the fifth time it would only be a few more minutes and that Amanda could make it right in the morning. After speaking to Amanda, she never made it right and “only” offer was a late check out, not able to use since I had leave at 6am day of the checkout anyway. The room the entire week smelled like pepper spray. Room service was great but management could some help.
It was nice on the water and such. I only ate at the restaurant I did not stay at the actual resort so I cant make an accurate opinion of it. It seems like a boojie place though....
Very clean, older building but updated nicely. Amenities were awesome as well. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Would definitely go back without question
Very clear, orderly, and safe. Staff inside and outside were kind and professional. Enjoyed our stay.
If I could give it no stars I would. This place is so run down and falling apart. The temperature in the room is horrible, too cold on one side and hot on the other. The room is tiny! Do not book here unless you ONLY care about having an ocean view because that is the only good thing about this place.
Very unfriendly when walking into lobby when trying to find way to the Beach Bucket restaurant. We were basicly asked to leave and walk outside building around dumpster area to get to the restaurant that is inside the building instead of being allowed to walk through the inside halls. The resort doesnt provide them any parking. Feels like the Resort hates the restaurant being there. Strange. I woukd never stay or purchase a condo there due to its condo warrior attitudes. The Beach Bucket is great though!
Ocean side at back door, staff and guest very nice and delightful
Love this place! Great staff! Great view. Bingo was great
Staff was great. Location was awesomeClose to everything. Stepped out to see the sunrise every morning from our balcony
Terrible all the time. Dont buy a unit! When you ask questions online about if you can come to your vacation they get rude. Always deleting negative posts even ones just asking them to update covid hot spot lists. Treat it like its not something people have to plan for. Honestly they need to take the social media away from Walter and if its not him take it away from the rude person running it and let one of the fantastic people at the front desk run it because they are so great.
This was our families best stay. The staff was nice, the on site restaurant was tasty and affordable, the kois were so friendly, the rooms were beautiful and the beds (even the pull out) was super comfy. They had activities, but we were only there for a night and came for the ocean. We already miss this place, as its completely booked for the summer.
Very clean and nice. Would come again for sure. The only thing that could use improvement are the beds.I like a firm bed but they were overly firm like hard lol but it wont stop me from a return trip.
This resort was so fun I never wanted to leave. Super friendly staff and very clean facilities.
This resort was closed down for a 14 mo complete renovation after hurricane damage. The Murphy bed is a double bed, and the extremely comfortable sofa bed is a unique 3 piece fold out queen size. Both were new in the past year. We were 3 adults and were very comfortable in a studio apartment. Security and maintenance staff are amazing, and were always there to help and answer questions. Housekeeping had our room spotless upon arrival. Towel exchange on Wed and lots of planned activities for all ages. Lots of pots/pans, 6 of all dishes and glasses. Dishwasher was an excellent addition. Both restaurants next door are a must see online. (Beach Bucket and Riptides) They are phenomenal, and I reviewed separately.
The hotel has a great location next door to a city park so no high-rise hotel to block the view. The room was very clean and updated. The reception area was friendly and competent. Their system for trash removal and obtaining clean linen is efficient. They have activities that children would really enjoy. We would return there.
Nice room, pool was fine 8 feet deep. Right on the beach very nice. Love the Bed.
Ocean East is an excellent place to stay. They have the beach bucket restaurant/bar onsite and the staff is amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back. The building itself is a few years old but well maintained and the rooms are exceptionally clean!
I called to reserve room for 3 day weekend May 24 to May 26. Said nothing available and rooms are $400 too $500. I looked on line and show rooms available for weekend at $110. A night. Which one is correct?
My husband and I stayed here about 20 years ago. We were delighted to see all of the recent renovations. We cant say enough about the excellent customer service. The staff were delightful and security was provided 24/7 for our bikes. Pool area is amazing and the Beach Bucket was delicious with great staff. Hope to be back soon .
Everything was amazing. Our daughter got married and the housekeeping staff told her everyday congratulations. Its in a great location. As for covid. Everything was wiped down purell was available. Staff used masks . All the staff was friendly and kind. I would go back again. Thank you so much for a great stay
Great outdoor seating location and view. Above average food and drinks. Service is fair. Prices are good.
I stayed at this resort with family friends who own a timeshare at this resort. But I give this place 3 stars all for the reason being Alexis at the desk had a horrible attitude each time my family or I approached the desk. Other than that the resort was amazing! All other staff members were really friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Thank you Micheal!!!! You make us all feel like we are home!!!!! You are the best.. thank you again 2005!!!
***PROCEED WITH SERIOUS CAUTION***This was the worse hotel experience I have ever had. First, they lied about what was open for use when I called to confirm. Second, we were given the wrong room upon arrival and had to complain that we wanted a refund before they would correct the problem. Third, we were woke up at 1AM by Ormond Beach Police wanting to check our room for a missing girl and the police themselves stated the security at this hotel was the worst! On top of all that, they have actual INMATES ON ANKLE MONITORS working there for maintenance and they were working on the security cameras and around children. This is completely unsafe to guests in my eyes because no one is advised of the matter and people are letting their children run around thinking its safe. Proceed with SERIOUS CAUTION BEFORE BOOKING!
Been coming here since 1985...always a great experience
Loved it. Had an excellent stay. Studio room was very nice and clean. Mattresses were so comfortable and bathrm was nice with big showers. Easy to use safe and lots of closets. Pool was heated and hot tub was just right. Great people and attached ocean side restaurant was excellent. Looking forward to next year already
Great service, great food, great view!Thank you!
Ocean East Resort Club has a large oceanside terrace and an inside dining option. As the weather was lovely on this beautiful June evening, we naturally chose to sit and eat on the terrace. Unfortunately, our experience got off to a rocky start, thus the 4 stars instead of 5. We were left standing at the entrance (which asked patrons to wait to be seated due to COVID restrictions) for quite a while. I understand the place was hopping, but hey...After a while, a very apologetic fellow came and found a table for us, whereupon we waited at least another 15 minutes - even after asking a waitress if she was our server, she wasn’t but said she’d tell ours we needed service. Finally, afraid I’d starve before I was served, I got up and found said apologetic gentleman. Once again he profusely apologized and found our waitress, who ended up being very efficient and friendly. The food was superb! I had the fish tacos - I recommend upgrading from Talapia to Mahi - with firm chunks of perfectly blackened, delicious fish and complementary toppings. My friend’s Mahi fish sandwich was also very tasty, and her beer crisp, cold and refreshing.Bottom line? All-in-all the wait was worth it: the seaside venue and atmosphere, good service (once we had some :) and delicious food made it all copacetic!
Beautiful customer service and so nice owner with respectfulLove the store ️
Although I’ve never stayed at Ocean East, my time there was unforgettable. I’ve never work somewhere that really made me feel at home. Ocean East is by far my favorite place that I have worked and I met some of the best people I’ve ever met in my life there. Ocean East Resort Club is an especially great resort.
The pool was great. Close to the beach. The room was just okay.
Oceanview, activities, peaceful large hot tub and pool.
My rating was not for Oceans East it was for the restaurant in front The Beach Bucket. Great views and good Mahi and Fish Tacos. The service is always excellent.
Affordable ocean front. Nice pool, attached bar and restaurant overlooking the ocean with live music in the afternoon. It was great. The Murphy bed was the only item which reduced my rating and that was due to the bed being seriously taking up the center of the unit when out
Have always loved the Ormond Beach area. This is a great time share resort.
It was ok,had all the amenities
Very good breakfast; dining ocean side was great! Relaxing. The Service was great!
Great place. Location is wonderful. Staff have been very polite & helpful. We love coming and spending time on the beach and at the pool here.
A great get away to relax and listen to the waves....Everyone gives great service with a smile.... We will stay here again...hubby loves the big windows
Really nice ocean views and professional, courteous staff
Amazing and very reliable staff. The beach is right there and amazing atmosphere. Will definitely return again.
Love this place! Nice location, great service and convenience.
Great location, great view from the pool and rooms. Friendly people, activities such as water aerobics and bingo.Rooms clean and well maintained.
Love this resort, as long as you dont want to sleep. The Murphy bed and the pull out sofa are hard as a rock. You may as well sleep on the floor. It would be much softer.
Best place on Earth for over a million years
Best place to vacation. Very homey and restaurants on site. Right in front of the beach
Great place...weather could be better....friendly staff.....
We own a week time share here. There are also rentals available. Mostly a quiet place. 2 restaurants on the property. Pool, hot tub, sauna, kiddy pool, fire pit. And the beach is right out back.
Easy, breezy lemon squeezee..come as you are and enjoy the sun, surf and great drinks. Food available..didnt partake during our visit.
Amanda is wonderful. She is incredibly attentive to all the guests and greets everyone with a smile. The security and housekeeping staff are also very welcoming and made us feel right at home. The new management is a bit too strict. They should allow owners a bit more leeway in terms of obtaining a late checkout, especially when no one is scheduled to check into the room being vacated. That is just good customer/owner service.
Good ocean view outdoor dining, right on beach. dogs were there, so dog friendly.
Love the resort. However a 3.8% charge to pay your dues on time over the phone with a debit card is ludicrous.
So surprised this place doesnt have a 5 star average! It was an amazing place to stay at an unbelievable price point. All of the facilities were clean. The pool and hot tub are beautiful, the beach overlooking the property is quiet and well kept. My room was beautiful & the staff were attentive & helpful. Ill definitely be staying here whenever I need come to Daytona Beach.
Seems like a nice place. I have only wandered through and frequently dine at the Beach Bucket. Very enjoyable. Great location. One of the few eating locations actually on the beach in Ormond Beach. Check it out!
One of the jewels on the beach . Helpful staff, recently renovated, and close to many great restaurants including Riptides .
Everyone was very nice and kept the place clean
Great place for a vacation with kids. Studios still need a good mattress for the bed.
Love the beach bucket
Great Family place for all
We work with the team at Ocean East Resort Club each week and get a chance to see how they take care of their guests and they are absolutely incredible with them. We talk to the people who are staying there and they talk so highly of everyone who they interact with.
Whats not to love....on the ocean and great food and drinks
Key cards are contantly breaking and the birds are pretty annoying... probably get rid of the fish feeders..? very tiny room potential, great pool and hot tub. Creepy cable line like cameras installed in ceiling tiles above room door..
Newly remodeled after 2 hurricanes it is nicer than ever. Everyone is helpful from security personnel and the front desk to the parking valets. Especially like the pool deck area. A beach front restaurant and a seafood specialty restaurant with live music is on site.
Great place, like watching the Bills play with the Bills fans, the beach is 2 minutes away. Good food and nice people that work there and run it .Will be going back.
Very nice clean friendly and comfortable
Upon calling to ask about wheelchair accessibility at this resort the receptionist says We are NOT a wheelchair accessible resort Thankfully I called before booking. I am not sure how they can get away with not being accessible but I am surely going to look in to it!!
My boys and I reallly enjoyed our stay. The resort was centrally located to everything. Staff was extremely friendly.
Great food and people!
Very clean room, reasonable price, an the outside pool area was way cool
Loved everyone! Ready for next year ️
Great time friendly people friendly staff awesome place to visit
Simple amazing.. Lots of activities for kids. And we love the Bingo for adults .
Excellent vacation resort, friendly staff, clean and neat rooms, with great views!
Good food good drinks great restaurant scenery is amazing
Came here to eat at Beach Bucket Restaurant. Resort Club took away all their parking. They hired a security guard to run off all the beach bucket patrons, told me to go find public parking, I could not use any resort parking. Pretty sad !!
Loved the whole experience. Food was good, cocktails great and the atmosphere was amazing. The history linked to this restaurant was very interesting. Loved the decor. Will definitely go back.
We enjoy the full facilities with kitchen, outdoor gas grills, hot tub, pool, beach, laundry.
Dont say room with a view. No breakfast. Dark halls are spooky at night.First time visit. Wont be back.
Since Irma Ocean East has had major renovations. Theyve improved in all areas. Yet, in todays standards, I wouldnt exactly call it a resort. Location is the best asset!! It is clean, staff is very helpful and friendly. The pool area very nice & decent sized. Nice hot tub, but often crowded. Attached resturaunt again has a great atmosphere/location for outside meals yet dont believe the food is worth the money. Still overall, a great family place to stay in this area!!!
Nice place to stay great amenities. Everything is close. If staying in studio suite the pull out beds are very hard and not comfortable. The leather couches had the best pull out beds to sleep on.
The bar is a hidden treasures of Ormond! Literally one of the most chill spots with a fantastic view of the ocean. It really cant be beat. Along with its prices for drinks and food, it is hands down one of my favorite areas to go have happy hour with a great group of friends. In the evening on a day of good weather, go there and relax by the fire pits while sitting under the cool lights they have strung up- very romantic atmosphere. Perfect for any beach bum at heart.
This is a great place! Lots of amenities. The units are modest but, clean and comfortable. Reasonably priced and not pretentious. After two hurricanes, and a massive restoration the maintenance fee only increased a small, reasonable amount. The staff and management did a fine job!
