Really liked our room and most of the staff was very friendly! We spent a week here, so needed toiletries and exchanging towels/linens frequently. Some of the rooms seem a little dated, but everything was super clean and our stay was GREAT! We had an ocean view room so I was able to open the window to hear the ocean and feel the breeze, which I loved. I also enjoyed the stocked kitchenette with glasses and plates and bowls and even a coffee maker and toaster. Definitely would recommend a stay here, and I hope to come back!
I love this place. The towers are older BUT the view is AMAZING. I enjoy the hot tubs a great deal. There are 3 smaller sized tubs which make it quite private for a couple or small family, the water is a perfect temperature and the jets all work great on those tourist weary muscles. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Located just a few short miles from Daytona, Marineland and Tomoka State Park. Only about a ninety minute drive to Disney and Cape Canaveral. Across the street is an IHOP and nearby is a Dunkin. Ormond Beach offers plenty of shops including Brand Outlets near the highway.
Were to begin? Why so many mirrors? Why no balcony? Why so many doors Why? Why does it smell and has stained carpet? Why have extra pillows with no pillow cases? Nice view of the beach though.
This is a nice place, it is old and dated but its clean and we had a good time. The people are nice and its on the beach, 3 pools and 3 small hot tubs, wasnt crowded
Right on the beach. Also has a big swimming pool and small kiddie pool AND 3 jacuzzis!!! Great view of all that from the rooms. The rooms were fully stocked with essentials to cook with. They were a lit th ke on the small side but still great!! Loved it! So many bars and restaurants and entertainment for anyone of all ages
Older property, yet the perfect getaway spot for those looking to enjoy the beach for a week. The staff is simply wonderful. Beautifully maintained pool, just steps away from the sandy beach of Ormand by the Sea.
It was a very nice place to stay I felt very constableMy wife enjoys herselfIt was just beautiful
Great staff and accommodations. Perfect beach spot.
My wife and I are owners of more than 20 years. They just supposedly got new pool and patio furniture. The straps are so discolored and brittle theres no this stuff is less than 10 years old. the straps need to be replaced. Im in the outdoor furniture business and this stuff looks like they bought it at some yard sale. Mostly we love this place
This turned out to be one of the best resort hotels that my family has stayed in. Its conveniently on the beach, and the pools and Jacuzzis were never crowded. Robin the Activities Director made every event fun; especially for my granddaughter Gracie who is wheelchair bound because of cerebral palsy. All the staff were friendly and helpful to my family, as they helped us find good restaurants, and other fun places for adventure. Everyone made Gracie their vacation buddy for the week. This place was one of the few places that I was sad that we couldnt stay longer. Maybe next time?
I have been going down to this resort for about ten years. People are friendly and rooms are clean. If I ever need anything the front office is always available to make sure everything is handled. Wonderful people, if not I wouldnt be going year after year.
This is an older property. Nothing spectacular about the rooms. The one bedroom is tiny; however it was clean. The grounds are well maintained. I rated it 4 stars because the service was great and the beach access was nice and clean. Otherwise, it is a solid 3 star.
We love this place. Takes you back to almost like an old beach condo . Very cute and cozy . Wonderful place to take the whole family for a beach trip. Highly recommend. Staff is very nice and knowledgeable.
Two years in a row, nice, clean and roomy,2 pools, child pool, beach side, office people always been a delight .
We have been coming here for years, the ocean view and friendly staff keep us coming back. Our two bedroom is spacious and the hot tubes are always hot. Couldnt ask for more.
I stayed here for a week. The room was nice the view was lovely. I stayed in the second room where there was sliding doors. I went to pull both of them to close and they both broke. That was the only downfall.
Its the beach, and it should never be bad.
Just a wonderful place to stay. Theres always something in the activity room for both kids and adults to participate in. For example the ladies in our family had a wonderful spa today! We tend to buy our food before we get here and its made so easy because the kitchen is already equipped with everything you need to cook. The rooms are nice and clean (Ive stayed in both 1 and 2 bedrooms) with nice views. Ive stayed in the courtyard and the highrise and like both. Theres 2 pools, 3 hot tubs, and the ocean is beautiful from here without the Daytona crowding.
Overall, a nice place to stay. Had some issues with our door lock not working over a couple days. They did finally fix that, though. 2 of our 3 TV remotes didnt work. Some random sliding doors are missing rollers so they were hard to move along the track. Kitchen is very small but bedrooms and living space were very nice. Pool is great although there were a lot of birds along the poolside throughout the day but that didnt really cause any issues.
Excellent oceanfront views, 2 pools, 3 small hot tubs. Rooms are a bit outdated but clean and well furnished. Kitchens have everything you need to cook for your stay there. 1 bedrooms are more like a studio - quite small but 2 bedrooms are very spacious. Staff is very friendly and housekeeping is nice and accommodating. Some activities for kids. It’s is really easy to get to the beach and back. There is a small playground for the kids. It’s very close to any dining or activity you would want to do.
Plantation island is so very insensitive about the current pandemic that has really left me with no voice but to cancel my entire vacation. Flights and hotels all cancelled with FULL 100% refund but no plantation island reservations charging 50% cancellation fees plus 3% credit card fee. What a shame. I will publish everywhere and for all to know that this company is trying to milk money and is shameful to use the current world situation to its customers. If the flights are not there, how can we get to the island, when the Fiji PM has banned tourist coming to Fiji and or quarantine visitors for 14 days. Is that all customers fault. I will write more in various other sites and bombard FB with such a slizzy way of doing business shameless.
On the Ocean, pools, hot tubs
Enjoyed a nap behind this resort. It looks like a great place to stay. The waves were a surfers dream on that day
We were unfortunately assigned to the two story annex off the ocean for a one week stay. Having stayed in over 100 timeshares around the world this ranks as one of the worst. Although there have been some reno attempts such as relatively new carpet and a bathroom that looks rather nice, the furnishings and kitchen have needed replacement for years. Rattan furniture disintegrating, peeling formica, and rust everywhere greeted us. Final straw is the unfortunate location of unit 205 with virtually no view of anything. The pool area and beachside chaises are very nice but even there some of the furniture is dirty. In comparison the Royal Floridian timeshare up the road is also an older property but well maintained and with good views from every room.
This is our local get away timeshare. We love this place. Relax at the pool and grill dinner at the beach. Great way to enjoy the day.
Love Plantation Island. Not the most updated rooms, but always clean and we never have an issue that is not resolved. Staff is always friendly. Would love to see the heated pool a little warmer but it still works. Great place to stay.
Rooms were outdated, but I loved the floor plan. Beautiful beach in a nice quiet area. And the grounds of the hotel were great. Just need to update the rooms a little
Very homey been coming here for 25+ years. Very friendly staff
Nice resort right on the beach. Its not my favorite in the area (hint: the Maverick is), but its still a nice day. Ormond Beach is a great place to visit almost wherever you stay. Its cool the way that cars can drive right on the beach. And if you like classic cars they are always driving down the street nearby.
Toilet fan for one sounded like a kid with a card in his bike spoke, two the bath and toilet had sand on it still so yay for housekeeping, and when the heck are they gonna update these mattresses from 1990s they’re hard as a rock then here’s the great part when anyone went to sit on the toilet it would rock completely and leak at the bottom if it wasn’t for my family who we bought a whole floor out with time share for the past 30 years staying there I really don’t think I would’ve stayed just disappointing this year
If anyone could have seen this place 20 yrs ago it was amazing! They now have out carpet in rooms,s which is nasty coming in from the beach, furniture that looks like they bought from a yard sale...what ever yall think is nice. But people who bought this time share years ago this place has gone way down hill!!
Great location friendly & very helpful staff! Very clean rooms will definitely return! Ormond Beach is a fantastic area so much to do & awesome restaurants!
As always this is great resort. Its not new but a great place to stay. Its away from the boardwalk and a great area especially for families with small children. Pool areas and playground are enclosed with fencing. Gate to the ocean is also kept locked. There is plenty of activities for the kids in the summer. One bedroom units are small but easily accommodate 2 adults and 2 young children. All around nice safe area.
The best place on the Atlantic! Great atmosphere!
This place is so beautiful. Super clean, always helpful staff. You will love your stay.
Been going for 15 years family friendly
One of the friendly places youll ever stay, you cant go wrong with this Resort The whole staff is amazing !
Good hotel
Great! Wonderful view. Fun things to do.
Ocean view and a window that opens so I can hear the surf and smell the ocean air is my idea of a perfect room. The staff has been friendly and efficient. My magnetic key didnt work after my sunrise walk and there was someone at the front desk to assist me at 7am. The apartment is small but cozy. The building is an older one but well kept and solid. We have NOT heard any of our neighbors, not even the ones upstairs. Weve easily found great food at reasonable prices nearby. Im very happy here and likely to return
The condo was spacious, and we had a good time looking around.
This one is tough one for me. The facilities was nicely kept on the grounds, the pool was well maintained, they had lots of activities for the kids and the workers were top notch. HOWEVER, the reason for the 3 stars was due to how poorly updated the rooms were. New paint is not an update that’s standard upkeep. The beds were doubles only which for a couple on vacation and myself being 6’0 250lbs, made it impossible to get a good nights sleep. The carpets were older and tired looking. The living room furniture was a wicker and floral pattern you would have had in the 90’s in your Florida room. The dining room set was wicker as well. I mean who the heck still has wicker furniture at a resort. To me this was the reason I dropped the rating down. The interior age shows and that earned maybe 2 stars tops. The kitchen is also small. Something you would see in an efficiency in New York City. You can’t have more than 1 person in the kitchen at a time. If you are standing in front of the stove you can reach every counter top, microwave and fridge within arms reach. If your not spending much time in the room then the resort is fine and doable. I would come back if no other places were available as it’s old but not dirty.
Beverly at check in is awesome. This is my 1st. Timeshare it is good to be home. Love Plantation Island .
A friend of ours had a timeshare at Plantation Island. Im not going to deny that the place needs a little work in terms of upkeep/ maintenance, but we werent there to stay in the room all weekend. The amenities (gas/charcoal grills, pool, fully loaded kitchen, etc.) and activities were plentiful and we had direct access to the beach. Thats plenty for us. Id definitely consider coming again.
This place was great. Excellent staff. Well maintained.
Family oriented and quiet. 2 pools, hot tubs, shuffleboard, grills, and best of all right on the beach. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
Older but clean and spacious. Grounds are well maintained. Beware when booking in the courtyard rooms, there is no elevator. The view is amazing. Nice kitchen so you dont have to eat every meal our. Pools are clean. Close to attractions and driving almost anywhere nearby is easy. Best access to the beach and you can rent chairs and umbrellas onsite.
Our family loves to visit daytona beach, the plantation has 3 pools (one is a short kiddie pool) easy beach access. The rooms have pots, pans, and all kitchen basics. The beach view is gorgeous and they have plenty of things to rent and do there. Its also close to restaurants, downtown and the racetrack but far enough to not get a lot of the traffic. Parking can be an issue at times.
Some good upgrades, clean, but need to fix those sliding doors that face the ocean. They come off the tracks and have for YEARS!
We own a place here, so we can use the facilities. 2 pools, 3 hot tubs and a kiddie pool. Lots of bbqs to use.
Great place for a vacation stay. Not a 5 star but nice. We rented electric bikes from Daytona Adventures and had a blast. Staff was friendly.
Decent accommodations. Great access to the beach. Hot tubs are questionable. Pool is ok. But the beach is the biggest perk and the ease to get there. Make sure to catch sunset and sunrise on the beach if you can.
Love this place!! Ive been going my whole life!
Great place to relax. Been coming here for years.
Nice but small 1 bedroom. Ocean front. Nice staff from office to housekeeping. Wish activities was open more often.
Great staff, very friendly. Nice and clean. Two swimming pools, 3 hot tubs and its beachfront. Highly recommend staying here.
Great beach location, resort needs to be upgraded. Current property is no more than a 2 star. Staff was great!!!!!
Friendly staff, family friendly beaches and not real crowded. I wish they would put balconies on the highrise.
We have been going for 24 years. Everyone is great. Clean and quaint. Courtyard is beautifully landscaped. Ask for Jennifer to make reservations.
Can not Brag enough. Great. Staff owner everyone. Super clean.Just like Home.Everything u need to Live there!!!!! Super Clean. Beach room side. Love love love it. Will b going back.
They are the best so helpful kind out going staff
Plantation Island is fantastic for families, its right on the beach with clean pools and my favorite ...the hot tubs. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. BOB at the front desk is AWESOME! Now the rooms are not spacious but adequate and clean. Some rooms have really nice balconies with a view of the ocean.Decent kitchenette if you plan on cooking with a nice big refrigerator. They also have fun family activities that are planned throughout the day for the whole family, some are free others are just a small fee.
Great area for the family or a couples get away!Daytona (Ormond Beach) has a lot of fun & relaxing activities to do. Look up on Pinterest for things to do.Plantation Island has two large different pools. Also, One small kids pool and a playground. My kids loved playing in the shallow kids pool. Rooms were comfy, clean and everyone was really nice.
Nice place beautiful view
Lots of improvements great staff
It was right on the beach, clean and big enough for two.
The room itself isnt bad. I stayed in a 1 bedroom room with a pullout couch. The bedroom furniture was cute. The pullout couch had a bunch of dirt and crums on it. During the night time we found a bunch of tiny roaches in the kitchen and bathroom. The room was not the cleanest and Ive had to call the bug guy twice on this wedding trip. If it werent for the bugs the room wouldve been a good place to stay for a few days. The room looks a little old school but overall the hotel isnt terrible. 2 pools and 3 hot tubs but the tubs arent clean right now. I would not recommend this place to stay at if you plan to have a stress free trip. But if youre here for the night its a good hotel. The best part is the beach view. Its absolutely beautiful. And beach access from the hotel.
Great location, friendly service. Two pools beach side with small hot tubs. I herd this was the old Biltmore hotel and it is still very nice but could use updating new flooring and furnatiure would make this place sparkle!
Going back in June cant wait. All employees where nice except one. The pools where clean. Guest help was phenomenal! Beds where comfy. Just all around nice place. Felt like home away from home.
The room was on the smaller side for Diamond, any no where near up to the cleanliness standards either. We found cereal in the master bed room, the cocktail table was disgusting, and various other smaller problems. The access to the beach was great. The staff that I encountered were friendly.
Very nice hotel. Clean rooms. Great location and the staff was friendly and helpful
Great place to go to for a vacation, friendly, clean place, nice pools, and walk on the beach.
Place needs some serious remodeling. Rooms smell like dogs and outdated
Older building, but we stayed before easy access . Easy access to beach 50 feet from the room
I have a Timeshare here. Only $60 a night in the high rise and a little more expensive. I-hop across the street. 2 pools. 3 Jacuzzis, Grills. Staff is very friendly and great.
Great view and location but needs cleaning, updating and TLC. Hard to be comfortable on dirty couches. Probably good place for young group there to party.
This was our first trip here. Only complaints we had were that the rooms in the high-rise do not have balconies, and the one-bedroom units are super tiny.We will be returning, just next time in a 2 bedroom.
Been coming here all my life this place is great has a awesome activity room and Events such as ice cream day,Nacho day and many more would highly recommend!
Quaint older resort. Clean and neat. Friendly staff. Would stay again.
What a Shock! We found this place in the RCI directory. Whoa. Theres no comparison. This placehad a tiny room. The same goldfish cracker that greeted us I the hallway carpet on Friday was still there when we left the next Wed. The elevators ran intermittently all night to maintain pressure on thehydraulic system. The heated pool wasnt heated. The hot tubs were tiny. One of the three was uber repair. Another leaked air z and wasa noisy as a popcorn popper. The steps to the beach wee steep and had holes in them. The cookout and ice cream was overpriced and disputing. The bed was hard. The pillows were lumpy. The A/C was hard to set. There were no complimentary shampoos.I really didnt like this place. It was very like the $49 dollar Viking.Motel a group of us used in myrtle beach. Yuk
Room smelled of smoke. Maintenance ran some machine to clean it up but by the next day it smelled of smoke again.
Dropped off a friend. Seemed to be a very nice place to stay and he swore by it. If I were staying in the area I would start here. He recommended the courtyard rooms - but they apparently fill up quick, so he books them a year in advance.
Awesome employees very friendly and polite. The view from our room is amazing, right on the beach!!
We stay here every year for our summer vacation. The staff is very friendly and the accommodations are just what youd expect for a beach condo. The landscaping in the courtyard is beautiful, and the ocean views are spectacular!
Beautiful spot -.great for kids
Have a time share here and I love it. Absolutely beautiful views, friendly staff and great location.
Love this place, good service, and even better views! Cant wait to come back in November.
An okay place to stay, outdated but offered walkout to the Atlantic Ocean
