Very nice view, Id say its better than the Arthur Jr. Bridge because its a 4 lane highway. Also its very foggy and the wind sounds very great. Go on this bridge, its worth the effort.

An old but very well constructed bridge with carecture.

This bridge needs speed cameras. It’s like a raceway a 6am. Watch that mile marker 21 always wrecks. Impatient and distracted drivers with no emergency lane for enforcement to sit in so virtually no police enforcement. Pedal to the medal I guess

Beautiful scenery. So dangerous. And slow. On the Don Holt five days a week. If only there were more lanes!

This Bridge is amazing. Every time I cross it, I get to stop at the top and overlook the paper mill factory right next to it. The smell of sulfur really gets me pumped on the way to work in the morning. Also, you can find at least one free ladder every week in the westbound lanes.

If your commute involves the Don Holt then you have a 40% chance of a major delay and a 100% chance of gridlock traffic both again, morning or night. If you miss the Clements Ferry exit you have to circle around all the way through Mt. Pleasant which will add 40 minutes to your trip.Drive carefully and not by the example of others in Charleston and youll be just fine.

A nice bridge as far as bridges go. Ive been on better. Ive been on worse. I didnt die in a fiery crash on this bridge. So its okay in my book.

Decent bridge. Nice blue color. It could use a few extra lanes and some guarded walkways. But it has held up better than the Wando bridge in recent years, and you cannot beat the smell. This can become fairly congested during peak rush hours, so plan accordingly.

This bridge is one of the worst traffic cluster ducks in the entire Charleston area! If at all possible try to avoid around morning or evening rush hour (7-9:30 am and 3:30-6:30 pm. If you get stuck on this bridge you will get to experience the smell one of Charlestons other amazing offerings...our paper plant!Either leave hella early or be prepared to stay and wait, enjoy!

I was just sitting in my car at the very top of the Don Holt bridge yesterday in the outside lane and no cars were moving on either side. While SITTING something slammed into my windshield and I had to have it repaired today. Have no clue what it was ! It was very windy and right before the storm yesterday...

This bridge is beautiful! I can see downtown Charleston from here! Even though it is 10 mi (16 kilometres) from Hanahan

Too low! But thanks NOAA for the real time tide gauge.

Gets too full too fast throughout the day. Will probably stay this way at best until more pathways are made in the greater Charleston area.

Ma
Review №15

It just sits there. I dont know why so many people are attracted to it. There is no thrill ride to it. Thousands of people come here every day, but no one even gets out of their cars. There is no lift gate, no side passage to get to.the river, and no boat ramp access. At least in a big storm, the Ben Sawyer bridge blows off its axis....

The Don Holt is equivalent to a curse word down here. I live 4 miles from work and it takes me 40 minutes to commute thanks to this bridge. Needs the ravenel treatment or we are screwed in a few years.

The bridge needs to be painted a different color. I long for the painting tarps to be put back on. I hate it when my cell phone cuts out in the middle of the bridge and then I have to make another call.
