Went to the park looking for early voting (which has not yet started in Dorchester County (??!!!??!!). Took forever to figure out where to go and the lady at the desk was NOT polite. But, back to the park... really nice facility for baseball, nice playground and adult fitness area. There is shelter which I imagine can be rented that looks very nice. Turns that’s where early voting will be when it starts on October 19.

Wescott Park on Dorchester Road in North Charleston is a beautiful and well maintained park that has many features including baseball fields, a trail, picnic area, fitness area, and playground. There is plenty of space to run around and get some fresh air during the middle of the day. I have had fun and a good experience every time I have been here. This is a great park complex.

Very nice park. Nicer if it had better water drainage so it wouldnt be difficult trying to get around the water spits. Ruin my new shoes trying to go around the puddles and going to the water fountain. Thought it would be nice to bring my puppy out for a nice walk which just mafe me rethink going until I know for sure its dry grounds. Oh where is the ?

Nice place to watch my nieces softball game. Also she had a bday party here a few years back and that was fun too.

It is very beautiful here. Very peaceful and is my kids loved it here, especially there being two parks to play at. Lots of fun.

It’s fun for the kids but there’s very little shade. I wish there was a canopy over top of the playgrounds for the kids. The sun is beaming down right on top of everything and make it blistering hot to the touch especially with this sc weather.

I would rate this place a 5 star but the main reason I go here is to pokemon go. The downside is laging out and location issues.

My 10-year old loved it, three fields (Atlanta, Boston, San Francisco) and beautifully landscaped. There wasnt a ton of parking but there seemed to be enough.

We come here for the park and the baseball facilities. Always in great shape and very useful. The league seems busy too

This park is very nice. its kept clean and ncpd patrols through regularly. most of the park is open and well lit, though there are some nature trails and surroundings that are not lit and not visible from the rest of the park. there is a dog park,baseball training area, some running paths, picnic areas and probably some stuff I forgot.

I took the child I babysit here and he had a wonderful time playing on the baseball and glove shaped slides. Very pretty walking trail and fountain

Great place to spend a little time or an entire afternoon. Dog park, playground, walking trail and picnic areas. Always clean and safe. Im there at least once a week. Also sand volleyball and horseshoes.

I attended a birthday party held in one of the banquet rooms. It was very spacious. There was a kitchen and the restrooms were right outside one of the side doors.The only thing I wished they had were signs pointing where the banquet rooms are.

The Dog Park is not a place for FUN. 75% of the times me and my pup have been there he has been attacked. We went today (31 July 2020) and and a dog attacked him and cut him twice on the snout. Idk what is in the air out there and I’m sure I’m not the only person this has happened to.

Great little fenced in dog park with a fence dividing the big and small dog side. Great for introducing new dogs to eachother. And open till 9 pm which is convenient if you dont you dont like the big crowds. I personally have two pitties that play pretty rough so i dont like to go till later at night when there are less people.

Great park, and not just for baseball! Walking path, playgrounds, and a dog park make this a great destination for everyone. Especially good for Pokemon Go - multiple Pokestops and a gym, all within close proximity. See you next Community Day!

Nice dog park. Separated and fenced for big dogs and little dogs with AstroTurf area and grass/dirt area. Buckets to drink water out of for the dogs, some benches and shade covering inside as well.

Great location close to the highway however it is not close to the interstate access. The location is a part of a large activity complex with 3 large baseball fields, a concession stand that opens during the baseball games, and a building where events maybe held.

Love that there are 2 separate areas, one for larger dogs and one for smaller dogs. The park is always clean and most of the dog owners that come there are very friendly and responsible. It is a great place to socialize my 2 small dogs.

I loved this park my daughter had an amazing time here plus there was no sand or dirt do she was able to keep clean.

Pretty park! Pavilions for your use. Playgrounds, baseball, batting cages, volley ball, basketball. Nice boardwalk to walk from one area to the next. Air conditioned bathrooms! Water fountains.

They renovated the dog park not too long ago but now theres a green plastic mesh everywhere that people and dogs keep tripping on and Ive seen some dogs try to eat it. I wish they would renovate by the water spigot so its not muddy. Otherwise the rest of the park is really nice and well kept. Have not been inside the their events venue or used the facilities by the baseball park yet. There is a snack bar but I think its only open when there are baseball games.

Its a nice gated park with soft grounds for my 1 year old to run around on but nothing for him to really play on at his age. No baby swings but the tire swing was ok to play on. Overall its still nice!

I enjoyed this dog park and so did my dogs! Well secured and very clean with plenty of spots for dogs to drink water. The rules are clearly stated, and there is a spot for big dogs as well as small dogs!

One place to have a peaceful walk with your children and it also has a big baseball glove as playground.

Its a small park and is usually pretty busy. It does have a lot of agility equipment for your dog to use.

Tight knit community of friendly people with wonderful dogs.Not the biggest dog park but there is a good amount of space for large dogs to run around and there is an area for smaller dogs.

Its a pretty cool park...I like the baseball mitt slide. The other playground had a bit more that my son was more interested in.

Very nice, clean facilities. The park area has many amenities, though is geared for smaller children. The fields seem to be kept in good order consistently, and are very popular for little league.You can reserve the picnic shelter areas for birthday parties. As with anything else, please be considerate of others and refrain from bringing aggressive dogs, using loud foul language, or smoking around children.

This is a nice sized park very easy to access. The playground was fun for my grandkids and the walking trails are well maintained. There are quite a fee picnic tables scattered around. Worth a visit!

Great park, nice walking trails, large playground for children with a special swing that a parent and child can swing together on. There is a dog park, one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Plenty of picnic tables and also a volleyball court. Great place for cookouts, walking, or hanging out.

Love the swing on the playground, but wish there were more of the same kind and a few for bigger kids too. Literally everyone on the playground wanted to use it at the same time.

We went for the playground so it was slightly disappointing for us. There was a small area with only a few things to play on but the entire park was super clean. Really nice for sports players. Also has a cutesy concession stand area during games and such.

So extremely disappointed in the North Charleston Rec Dept @ Wescott Park.My daughter plays on a softball team here. The rec departmentchanged the time of a game, and claimed they notified the coaches via email that the game was being moved up one hour. The one coach said she never got the email, and they had emailed the wrong email address for the other coach. Since neither coach was aware, my daughters team automatically forfeited. All of the girls showed up to play, and were notified the game was forfeited. When we asked the rec department why they didnt call when they didnt get a response to the email, the response was that email is sufficient and that he didnt need to call to notify anyone. So extremely disappointing.

One of the nicest parks in the State. Very clean.

I was happy to see a playground fully fenced and gated. The equipment was simple. The ball fields were well kept and bathrooms were available even when a ball game was not scheduled.

Very clean and well kept. We went to visit the playground and it was pretty small; the park is definitely more for sports than playgrounds.

Husband and I take our puppies here all the time. It’s a clean place where everyone gets along pretty well. Very few times have and incidents happened because of people not taking care of their dogs.

I usually have a good time at this park. Its always clean and well kept. This incident has nothing to do with the establishment at all, but I did have a boy call my three year old daughter a dummy, not once but twice. The mother wasnt there at the time so he was not supervised. She was roaming around outside the park gates. We left after that, and went to the bigger park down closer to the dog park.

Went for the first time this morning and it was awesome! My dogs enjoyed it and the little pool!

Usually lots of good company and have a turf pad, so event on wet days theres a place to play....but still plenty of muddy spots.

Whoever is in charge of turnements does not plan very well. The 5 oclock game which was to be played on Boston field had to be moved to the Atlanta field at 6 oclock because no one scheduled refs for the 5oclock game on Boston. Put the two teams playing one hour later than scheduled. These boys had school the next day. Very poor planning on someones part

Westcott has a really nice doggy park that me and my dog frequent. Very well-kept Park, it feels safe, is very calming and relaxing. I would recommend the doggie park.
