This place is awesome!!! Beautifully landscaped, lots of stuff to see, good fishing, great place for a date. The military memorial is pretty awesome too, lots of cool history that I didnt know and Im from Charleston. It looks 100x better than the last time I was there about 4 years ago. Most definitely worth a visit
Love this park. I spent half the day reading my book & enjoying the fresh air. It has enough space 2 be socially distant. I might even go skating there soon.
Hidden gem of North Charleston. Great for everyone! Lots of upgrades since I last went in 2016. A cool kids park, (although no swings for babies) lots of open area to run around, picnic tables, swings overlooking the Don Holt and the river. Fishing is allowed. The memorial is beautiful. Dog park too.
This park is a little treasure that Pew or nobody really knows about. This little park is in North Charleston on what is the Old Navy Base. When you pull into this park you see beautiful trees plants in a beautiful fountain that children can play in. The Fountain Jets are set into the cement even on the ground so kids can run back and forth between the waterspout. Also the water is time to the music that its always playing which is really nice to see. This place also has picnic tables so if you want to bring lunch or a light snack and be cool this is a wonderful place to come and be along the river and have a great time
Riverfront Park in North Charleston is one of my favorite parks in the Charleston area. I can remember when this was a golf course on the former Navy base and I like that they kept all of the open green space in its current form as a park for all to be able to enjoy as just a day in the park or as an event space for an event or concert venue. This park is well maintained and is fun to walk or run around for some fresh air. This park has wonderful views of the river and water and has plenty of cool art pieces, gardens, markers, and other displays that add to the experience of the park. This park has it all and on a non event day there is plenty of parking to be able to enjoy everything. This park is awesome.
Very clean! I love to walk by the river. There are many benches so you can just sit there and enjoy the view. Definitely one of my fave parks. Dog friendly
Well kept municipal park on the edge of Park Circle. Great views of the Don Holt Bridge and great if you want to watch the big cargo ships come and go.
I was (pleasantly) surprised by the many statues, fountains, fishing piers, and Navy memorials, as well as a stage area for concerts. The view of the river was great. Nice way to spend an afternoon!
The mosquitos were savage in some areas. I thought I was going ti get carried away. My son said he thought they were bees lol. We seen a crocodile at the far left end by the rocks. Got some pretty decent photos
Beautiful park!! Great place for kids or just for a leisurely stroll. There is a park, small fishing pier, a fountain for the kids to play in and so much more!! *bring bug spray during the warmer months*
A great place to sit at a picnic table and way lunch while social distancing.
Pretty nice park. Play area for children, fishing piers, historical monuments and information. Great place to just walk and enjoy the waterfront.
There is music at night playing and the park has security that drives around. Felt safe and relaxed on our night walk.love it here.
My father and I went to River Front to go to the dog park. The parking lot by the dog park is closed. We had to park about a quarter of a mile away. We both have back and leg problems and the walk is so painful. I kept having to drop on the ground and sit while the pain became less enough for me to walk. Why does North Charleston want to make things so complicated and painful? Does North Charleston not care about people?
Driving to the park was relatively easy. Also, the view was beautiful and there were so few people there that it wasnt hard to social distance. However, enjoying the view was made difficult by mosquitoes. Escaping them was impossible and we ended up leaving shortly after we arrived. I would add that if we had taken bug spray we would have stayed longer, but I wouldnt recommend going without it.
Cool, sunny, and Breezy! Today was a great day to be out there although there were some mosquitoes. The only reason I didnt give it five stars was because the trash cans were overflowing.
Just beautiful. A gorgeous park for walking, running, etc. Large lawns, huge old live oaks, and beautiful sculptures, right on the river, an absolute treasure.
The 3 stars are for the amount of mosquitoes there. Its the most Ive seen down here. Other than the mosquitoes and the heat, the place is real nice. There are many pieces of art, a military memorial, fishing pier, beautiful views. So bring mosquito repellent, umbrella, sun block and water. Then you should have a good time.
Beer Fest at Riverfront Park was a blast! My coworkers and I were sponsors. Met so many amazing people and raffled a gift basket full of wine and wine accessories! Going back next year, maybe as a spectator!
Very beautiful and quiet! Nice view of the ocean. Plenty of benches and swings to sit and relax. And if you have kids theres enough pretty green grass to run and play. And please, dont let me forget about the sprinkles for everyone that wants to get their feet wet!!!
Great location. Kids love the fountain
Always kept clean and nice looking. Playground for kids and nice view of the Cooper River
I love taking my sailboat here when there is a concert. Can hear the music perfectly while grilling in the water and sunset!!
Beautiful location! Very clean. Great place to let the kids run, go fishing, or, to pay your respects to the service members that once served here.
Theyve done a fantastic job making this a place we love visiting. Cant wait for the concerts to come back
Beautiful outdoor space. We are here with our family and our dog and it was nice to have a place to let the pup off the leash for a bit. There are tons of scenic views and open areas to play or picnic. We will probably be back soon to enjoy lunch on the lawn.
Attended High Water Festival at this park for the last three years and I love it. Beautiful trees and its right by the water. Lots of space for the stages and vendors. Small playground is nice for ppl with children. Great venue spot!!
The most amazing little secret spot in Charleston. A definite must for retired Navy or their family. Beautiful statues and sentiment.
Loved this park! It was amazing to learn about Charlestons Naval History while taking in local artwork. There is even a playground for kids plus bathroom facilities.
The park is very relaxing and its always wonderful to sit by the water. Very close to some amazing restaurants as well.
Beautiful and quiet place ! Nicely paved path for walking with a wide river view ! Good place for the family !
This is a beautiful park that includes everything you could want in a big public park plus the feeling of rich historical value of the now defunct Charleston Naval Base. The art installations displaying both the emotional side and the tactical side of war are super cool, the rich history of the location and memorials are well presented and memorialized w beautiful monuments, pictures, and displays. The river walk is gorgeous, there is a fishing pier, a large shelter area, a performance stage, playground and light changing wading sprinklers! Its a super fun place to be!
One of Charleston countys best hidden gems. Definitely out of the way from mainstream tourism, etc., Riverfront Park offers awesome views balancing nature and industrial components. The park is filled with beautiful oak trees, spanish moss aplenty, recently restored historic naval houses, contemporary artwork throughout, and immaculately well kept. Great concert venue and underrated dog park also on the premises. Also boasts an extremely well done veteran memorial.
Beautiful! Nice dog park Beautiful views very clean
A must see in Charleston love the waterfront reminds me of jamaica
Just had my wedding here!! Beautiful park with plenty of scenic spots for events.
Was a nice walk. Walked around the memorial and out on the little fishing pier. There is music playing and water fountain the kids can play in.
Great place to have a picnic or ride bikes with the kids or nice walk by the water
Bery nice place to visit in charleston
I really enjoy Riverfront park. Theres a sprinkler for the kids to enjoy and a nice park for recreation. Sharing of history along the walks and a wonderful view of the Ravenel
A nice cool breeze, low tide, a container ship being guided by 2 tenders and park not crowded. Id call a great morning. All while walking the dog.
Had the opportunity to attend the high water festival at this park. Such a perfect venue. Pics do not do it justice.
Beautiful park and loved all the military stuff. Highly recommended for a relaxing time.
Im glad to see they seem to be reviatalizing this area because it is beautiful. We love going out here every year for The Walk For Water. I hope to see the community and local government build up this great outdoor place for Charleston.
AmazingIts really nice in there
I love tye spaciousness of this park. From the Memorial, splash pad, fishing piers, kids play park, and the open play field.
We love coming back here when we come back to Charleston to visit.
Beautiful area! Plan on coming back soon!
Riverfront Park is a very nice park!
We went at 2pm (they say they close at 10pm) and the road to enter was closed. Please update on Google.
Riverfront Park is always a great place to go when you want peace & relaxation.
Love this park but they took away the convent bathrooms right by the stage area now you have to go all the way by the Memorial just to use the restroom.
Beautiful place, well taken care of landscape a great place for a walk and has a playground too
Mosquitoes are terrible. Mayor needs to do more to prevent Mosquitoes. Beautiful park, but Mosquitoes run you off from enjoying it.
What a great place for a walk!! Lots to see!!
Amazing park! Such a nice view! Perfect for a relaxing walk!
This is a nice park. It was very quiet the day we went. Lots of pretty things to look at. Fountains, metal sculptures, nice plants, a reflection pond and a very nice memorial wall. There is a small playground for children as well a a shelter with picnic tables.
Love this place. Absolutely beautiful. So relaxing and a good spot for fishing.
Awesome park but unfortunately the better half including the playground is currently under construction. Still a nice place to see and Im sure itll be spectacular after the upgrades or whatever theyre doing out there. God bless Charleston SC!!
Very nice and relaxing.
The park was so nice to rest and watch the water
Great place to visit
Came here for Paws in the Park 5K. Super easy to walk around. Plan to come back again and do more exploring.

Beautiful spot on the water in North Charleston. Events are always a pleasure here, especially by boat!
Such a gorgeous, calming, unique and well-planned park. Beautiful morning or afternoon experience. A true asset to the local scene.
Lots of fish most days. Parent fisher have 2 docks too fish from with kid attractions at end of docks. Kids love the Fishing, Playgrounds, Water Splash Pad, Memorial. Will go back and take pics.
Absolutely beautiful, no matter what time of year.
Small playground but fun. Big open field and nice waterfront walk way.
Nice place to talk a walk and enjoy bring by the water.
Great place to roam around. Some water front construction going on to improve the quality of the park. Dog park and play ground. Picnic tables. Permanent restrooms. Home run place for Christmas boat parade and July 4th fireworks
Great views! You can see all the ships in the shipyard and the bay. Great place to see the tug boats and cargo ships coming in and out of port. The grounds are kept very nicely. Has lots of different art and memorials to view. Great walking paths that even go over the water. There is also a pier for fishing and a splash pad for children to play in. They have bathrooms on site, but I will warning you they get extremely hot inside during the summer...
Very pretty view. Easy to walk the paths. Nice depiction of the history. The music that was being played I dont think went well the waterfrontscenery.
Had a great time at the Caribbean Festival
I was stationed at Charleston Naval Base from 1987 to 1990.The park is really nice. Its been 30 years since I left Charleston. The Navy base is pretty much gone. But I have alot good memories of Serving our Country in the Navy.
Beautiful park!
PrefectGreat for a nice walkGreat for a get-together with the kiddos theres a little playgroundIve seen people fish at certain parts of the parkRestrooms cleanTrash cans all over the place available for throwing away trash very niceLots of parking there are two parking lotsGreat view of the scenery
I like how the location is off the 526 and the US 17 Corridor. Plus, there is also free WiFi for your phone and laptop (Google Chromebook, Acer, Lenovo, Intel, AT&T, etc.)And, you get to see some of the amazing views from the Cooper River, down South to Charleston, SC. (You would have to take I-26 East in order to get there.) It features the pictures of World War II and the Cold War. (1901-1945). But, there is a naval Base, that is next to the park. Yes, you take some breathtaking photos for you and your kids! Free playground for all ages! There are three parking areas: 1: Facing directly towards the naval Base. 2: Looking towards the Navy house @ Navy Way. 3: Facing towards the basketball court. The parking is absolutely free.
Great place to take the family. Around New years or July 4th is a great time to go out to see the fireworks. The place gets packed. They also have all kinds of events out there so keep updated.
Very well kept up looks very nice, plenty of seating.
Great views, beautiful landscapes, wonderful park, and awesome event venue

This is a beautiful and relaxing location and a wonderful place to bring kids or dogs!It had a small play ground for kids. Long paths for dogs, joggers and those just looking for some fresh air.My dog absolutely loves it here. It also has a nice piece of naval history for those history enthusiasts out there!
Beautiful park!! Hopefully the city doesnt mess it up with all the remodeling and changes!! Making it a Charleston tourist spot!!!!
For food we got chocolate chip pancakes and an omelette. The pancakes were delicious. Fluffy with a generous amount of powdered sugar on top. I might come back for some pancakes
Great park with lots of pokestops. Art, a boardwalk, sprinklers, music and tons of space.
Love Riverfront Park. Its a little confusing getting in and out I find but the park is great. The kids love reading the history and seeing the historical pictures. Then the playground is our favorite part. We can definitely spend large amounts of time here.
We had a great visit
I love this place. They didn’t have the main dock/pier open.
