Rockin’ R has been a tubing (or toobing... what ev’s) institution in both Gruene (Guadalupe River) and New Braunsfels (spring fed Comal River). I prefer the long float on the Guadalupe, closest to the Canyon Lake Damn, as it is much more scenic. Rockin’ R also has several smaller “satellite” locations along the River, giving you many more floating options. Their prices tend to be a little higher than the competition, but you get what you pay for with them. I cannot recommend them enough.

This is basically same camp as Huerco springs.Super fun. Great location. Get there early for a good spot and claim your space. This place is over crowded on most any warm weekend. Showers could be cleaned more often. Store on premises to buy beer, soda, candy, and ice. Expect to pay a large premium for the conveince. Fires are allowed in the camping area and wood is also available for sale. Water is 72 degrees year round. That is pretty darn cold. Dont waste your time fishing unless you just like wetting a like. Half way down the campsite across the river is a rock you can jump off of. Be careful climbing up there as it gets slick. Be warned it is on private property and not exactly illegal. But I have need seen it enforced. Rates are $40-60 a night depending on holiday weekends. I believe another $10 for electric sites but those sell out weeks in advance.

Friendly staff. Quick line. Tubes are rubber. We had someone with latex allergy. No issue. We went twice. In the city and outside. Our drivers were nice and no wait.

Who doesnt love a river trip!?!? Great weekend for it.

Presentation about what to do at the rapids was very rushed. No one in my 12 people group ended up remembering what was said. Not that they control the river but parts of the float were very rough. I saw a lot of people injured and there should be some kind of warning for people just wanting a relaxing float when they sign up for the ride, especially for pregnant women who might not be aware. Signing up is chaos but they hold onto your ID while youre on the river so if you dont come back for it theyll know youre dead or stranded and go searching for you.

Celebrated my 27the birthday and we love the experience. The staffs were nice! The place is cozy! Very one with nature. Will definitely going back here

This place never fails us! Weve been visiting them for over 20 years. I want to say thanks to the lady driving around in the golf cart and giving us insight about the river. Also to the guy who after hours explained the plastic bottle/beer laws to us.

Very convenient, no lugging tubes from another town on your trip, everything taken care of, all the way to the edge of the river. The driver was a highlight, very fun and friendly!

My fiance, his brother and I went with our close friends. We had a blast in the water. Just make sure come early to beat the crowd if you want to have the water for yourself a bit LOL.

So much to float on a public river. And cant have anything on the river but a tin can... comal river is a much better place to be at. Dont waist your time coming here to float and have a good time.... only a good place if you want to shop at small boutiques and very small restaurants to eat at...

Good people good prices down to earth there are still some kind people in this world after all are very informative with our questions shortest right where are sight was checked up on us to make sure we didnt need anything Im just was courteous the whole way through we will be back.

We had the best driver! Baseball player took great care of us and they picked us right up at the end. We had a blast! Nice and relaxing! A bit of paddling at the end but the rapid to the left end was so worth it! Fun

Been around since I was in college. Process has improved a bit. So glad they are still around so we dont have to manage buying tubes ourselves.

$10 to park seems a bit much, but other than that it was good.

The water is what it is all about! The tent camping has no park monitoring. It may not be for the young. Our neighbors on one side were playing strip poker, with all there lights on.

Safe, clean, and kid friendly . Very good at communicating drop off and pick up locations.

We had a blast!! Would definitely do this again.

As usual, fun time on the Guadalupe. Transfer driver very knowledgeable. Wish the water had been flowing a bit better. First time Ive had to walk the Guadalupe during a float.

Everything was great, except for the parking attendant, who is very rude. Which is what they get a 4 star and not a 5 from me. Its easy to rent a tube. The shuttle was clean and just a short drive.

The lower float was the best part with the most rapids.

The people are courteous and I like that they keep your keys when they rent you the tube. This helps make sure you come back and that you dont loose the keys in the river. They give you a little bag for you trash and they offer tubes with bottoms if you prefer them, qe usually get one to put our cooler in. the water in the river was very low and it wasnt as fun as previous years. But the area is nice and super family friendly.

My family and I went on a weekend vacation here and I would say it was like we were being charged an arm and a leg to just continually be harassed and inconvenienced. The staff are very unprofessional, the camp grounds themself are very small and the prices are ridiculous. You will be charged for many things that one would assume was already included... the grounds and river front were clean but the grounds around here are mostly rock so when camping make sure to bring your sturdy tent stakes and a cot or mattress to sleep on. Also make sure to get your ice and everything from walmart down the road prices are much more reasonable.Currently there is a burn ban in effect so make sure you being a fire pit at least 4 above the ground or no fire :(

My favorite outfitter on the Guadalupe. Sturdy tubes, free cooler tube, clean bathrooms and a little store to buy last minute provisions.
