Loved this place. Very beautiful and classy. This is probably the best winery in the Comal area. Wine is top notch. Definitely worth the drive out to Canyon Lake.

A must-stop if you are in the area! Incredible organic wines. The price tag is worth it. Gorgeous tasting room with lots of personality amid a gorgeous small vineyard.

Sadly our party of 4 did not have a good experience here. It has all the makings of a great winery in a beautiful setting but thats where it ends. While out in the parking lot we realized the owner was standing outside talking to a person who handles landscaping and he did not smile or greet us when we said hello. Then we went inside and looked at the tasting menu and is 20 dollar for three tastings...no ifs ands or buts about it. Not everyone loves every wine and it would have been nice to try one sample for a smaller price which we asked if we could do. Before we asked this though we were condescendingly told that this was the purest best wine you can find out there as absolutely nothing is added and I only do this a hobby as I am also a lawyer (humble brag). We proceeded to leave without tasting any wine there and found Lara vineyard where they were very welcoming and friendly. Please skip this winery this place is not worth spending your time or money on!

The view of the vinyards was amazingly breath taking! The greenest grass growing around rows of vines with a backdrop of glorious hills. The tiny tasting room was also a sight to behold. The building was made of rock and limestone adorned with working shutters and a  terra cotta roof.Inside was clean and cozy with a high vaulted beamed ceiling and a wood burning fireplace. There were sevaral small seating areas from the traditional table and chairs to relaxing leather chairs.Wine tastings cost $20 for 4 generous samples. Ian was our friendly, informative waiter. He was knowledgeable of natural wines and the process in which they were made. The wines were  pleasant and uniquely different.

This guy Wines!!! He has this passion about making his wine, that Ive not even seen in my own brothers winery. His technique is that he doesnt make wine, he creates a loving environment so it makes itself. He is so passionate about his work, and it shows in the wines he makes. absolutely wonderful. Flavors are wonderful. A gem of a winery. A wonderful winery.

This guy makes great wine. Nothing like most southern garbage wine. He is also charming and shares his story. His winery is quaint but full of character. Go with a good attitude and love of wine and you wont be disappointed.

Yes yes yes 5 stars to the most delicious wine I have ever tasted. Truly, I cannot say it enough : best wine Ive ever had. The vineyard and tasting room are tucked neatly down into a valley which adds fun to the experience. Be careful turning down the drive from the highway as it is quite steep. The owner is available for his customers, though he seems to have a script prepared when it comes to explaining his wine making process, history of the vineyard, etc. He also appears to be uncomfortable engaging with clients at first and may come off as eccentric or aloof, but I think hes just bored/exhausted/shy. Visit anyway!! Id recommend hiring a tasting room sales person to enhance the overall experience because that wine needs to reach the masses! Every variety is worth a try. Enjoy!

My husband (who tends to dislike Texas wines) and I were both very impressed by the unique and beautiful wines offered. The owner was very friendly and open about his atypical approach to wine making. Pricey, but worth it for the best Texas made wine I have ever had. Beautiful setting, great for a couples tasting.

Best winery Ive ever been to. Lewis is super knowledgeable of his passion. This is more than just a pleasurable wine drinking experience but a major step on the path to wine enlightenment. The wines are unlike anything I have ever had before with a one of a kind taste and flavor profile. If you want some true Texas wine, this is the place to come. I love the 2009 Dickson Apres.

Awesome place. The owner is funny and down-to-earth. The 05 La Cruz De Comal is amazing, and all the other wines are fantastic ads well. We are very glad we stopped! I dont even normally like white wines, but these were wonderful.

I love this all natural winery. The owner is a delight and a fantastic wine maker. His wines are all natural. As he says, I dont tell my grapes what to do! If you want a natural wine, no sulfites and sugars added, then this is your place. Be warned, it can get crowded and they will turn folks away when that happens.

The winnery was a great setting. The server was nice but the owner was totally unsocial. A matter of fact down right rude. We were a waste of his time.Is this what a Houston lawyer represents . Being from H town I don’t think so. $20 tasting crazy.. The dog was the friendlisest host.Would not recommend until the owner understands what hosting is all about.

Please do not go to this winery! The owner was rude and lacked basic customer service skills. We went on a Saturday, and we know it was a busy day, but it almost seemed as if he would go out of his way to not serve our group. We were celebrating our friends birthday, and his behavior towards us just completely soured the experience. I do not know if it was because we had young children with us, or we just didnt look like people he would want to sell to, but he was very condescending. I never write a review, but he upset me so much, I felt it was necessary. And no we were not being disruptive, we were just quietly sitting in a corner talking, not anything that would warrant that kind of behavior.
