We stayed overnight here through the Harvest Host program. What a great stay and the tour of the Museum was awesome. Highly recommend both staying there if it works for you and if not at least swing by and see the museum.

We arrived earlier then they opened but the guide took us for the tour . A small unique stop in history. Come take a trip through time as your host helps you relive the past.

Great place to visit and very friendly staff. Be prepared and take some water with you because during the summer, the buildings can be very hot. Would encourage others to visit this little gem.

This place was filled with so much rich history and neat furniture to look at. I feel like the name is a little misleading because the tour guides cater to what you are most interested in: either the furniture or history behind the 1st settlers of New Braunfels from Germany. Its an awesome place to go to if you are bored in town one weekend, and its a reasonable price for a tour! Paid $16 for my boyfriend and I and Leslie Dey (tour guide) is such a wonderful lady. I really enjoyed my sunday afternoon here!

I wasnt expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. I also enjoyed touring the live history of the surrounding buildings.

Great museum! We had an amazing going through the different rooms and houses with the owner. She was very knowledgeable in the german history. We learned a lot! Thank you!

Beautiful environmet. Cheap entrance. Lots of nature and awesome craft! You can even make your own candle and the handmade brooms are outstanding. Just bring some food because there are not many choices.

This is an awesome place. Great collection of historical Texas furniture. They also have some great live exhibits and demonstrations. This is truly a hidden gem and worth the trip!

Great place to host Folk Fest. I love getting to walk around historic New Braunfels and seeing all of the old-timey stuff. If you appreciate historic sites this is a great place to visit. I know they also host events as well so its a good place to have a party.

We went to the Folkfest last year, and we will always volunteer during Folkfest, as well as visit the museum. It is an excellent experience, especially for young people to see how we lived 150 years ago.

Was such a great place for a field trip! so informative and interesting, it was great that the children moved around often, noone was bored. The blacksmith was our favorite.
