The park is a family and pet friendly area to spend time and relax by having a nice picnic. If you are an admire of nature, you can spend time photographing the ducks, squirrels, and deers. Or you can photograph the beautiful landscape of the lake, trees, rivers, and plants. The activities offered are playing miniature golf which has a cost of $3.00 per person ages 4 and up, or take a ride on the miniature train around the park for $4.00 per person. There is a designated area to play the 18 hole golf course for the adults or you can enjoying playing volleyball. They do have a paddling boats concised in the form of large swans but are temporarily closed. The Landa Aquatic complex pools offers the fun for swimming or just playing in the water and keeping cool. The park also has a huge swimming pool with lifeguards but is temporarily closed. If your enthusiastic for exploring, the Panther Canyon Nature Trail is great for walking.

Nice, clean park. Lots of nature to see. Perfect for children. Great sidewalks to stroll on. Big playground. Can fish and hike. Theres a small train to ride and enjoy. Spring fed pools and Olympic style to swim in the summer months. Sometimes they have free concerts. Paddle boats when open. Things to read about historic features. Plenty of picnic tables and pavilions that you can rent if you are having a gathering.

The park is around 50 acres so there is something for everyone. There are natural springs that you can see if you follow the walking trail. The trail is paved so it is accessible for everyone. They also have boat rentals and mini golf.

Landa park is so beautiful! You can have celebrations there and can reserve picnic areas. The playgrounds are so much fun and they have musical equipment that is very fun for everyone. Then the wading pool is super refreshing. You can spend all day having so much fun at this park with the kids and fur babies. Plenty of people had their fur babies in tow.

Landa parks been one of my favorite area parks to visit for the past 31 years. Some of my favorite childhood memories have been at the park riding the train or visiting the pools. I’m excited that not much has changed over the years and I’m able to make new memories with my own children at Landa park. The wading pool is perfect for young children during the summer and they have amazing playscapes for kids of all ages. We love just strolling around the park looking at the wild life, from ducks, fish and squirrels to deer and turtles.

Wonderful long established park with a kids train. But these days you will hear a lot of noise when adolescents want to show us how loud their twice pipes can roar. Of course it is dumb, but that is the way it has become. Other than the cacophony from the peanut gallery, it is very nice.

Theres so much to do here. Been many times. We swung by for a relatively quick visit to ride the train and play putt putt. We came for the spring fed pool, but it was closed due to stupid COVID-19.The regular swimming pool and other paid spring fed pool were open.We didnt understand that part. The train was closed down early due to lightning being in the area, late in the afternoon. But!!! When you can, ride it. It is well worth the price of admission. I think it is $4 a person. Also, we did the paddle boats and that was a work out also.It was $6 for a 30 minute paddle boat ride. And trust me, they dont time you.So the overall expenditures for our family of 4 was at about $35.The paddle boats can accommodate up to 4 people, and/or 2 people.Bring food for the ducks and food for the deer.If you like to bbq, there are pits everywhere.Restrooms are clean and overall in good shape. We never saw any police, but we didnt feel worried though.Plenty of room to walk around and explore since the park has had major upgrades.Wouldve given 5 stars, except the spring pool was closed.Pack a lunch, snacks to picnic and drinks because only the train station has snacks/drinks.(Prices are very reasonable.)And if theyre closed, and you have a good parking space, you dont wanna lose it.

Excellent place to take the kids. I was very skeptical about driving 60 miles out to this park. I wasnt sure how my kids would deal with a hot park during the summer heat. It was well worth the trip. So many shaded trees across this park which made our day much cooler. The kids enjoyed the different playground areas. Nice cool lake to dip your feet in, and a cute little train($4.00) admission to ride on. My toddler enjoyed the train. We did see a swimming pool, and a childrens pool area but we didnt get to do that today. All in all, a very nice park with lots of shade.

The environment is great, and theres enough space for everybody, even while maintaining social distancing. A good place for picnic, and a nice short train ride through the park for children and adults alike. And theres a short train for hiking too. The boathouse is closed due to COVID 19, but it still has a lot of attractions, spots to play volleyball, fishing, picnic, added attractions to music lovers (instruments to play music in the open)... Great place to take a break.

Be careful where you step !!Beautiful park but very dirty, people who bring their dogs for a walk do not bother to collect their own dogs poop, although in the park there are several stations with plastic bags ready for use. I cant understand if it is the people who do not have the culture of picking up their own dirt or the city that does not have clear regulations about it. It is a pity because it is a beautiful park !!

The city has imposed too many restrictions and taking away the Family Friendly atmosphere by mandating not to feed the wildlife. Thats a bit too much and the restrooms need to be literally Steam Cleaned with Hot water throughout the entire restrooms by steam cleaning all the walls, commodes, urinals, sinks, walls, floors to get rid if the stench of urine and placing people at Risk of catching the Coronavirus or any other germs or viruses. Then the restrooms should be completely sanitized throughly daily. The tables and pavilions need to sanitized as well... Thanking you in advance for your time and cooperation on the issues at hand...

A nice park with plenty of activities for the whole family. Theres a walking hike trail, a river that goes through the park, a large area designated for picnics with grills and water pumps, and plenty of seating. I only removed one star because the hiking trail lacks any sort of signage so it was very easy to get lost and some of the area didnt even seem like it was part of the trail anymore. Could use a bit of love and care so the experience is less confusing.

Landa park is on the banks of the Comal River, which is spring fed and crystal clear. It is beautiful. There are two seasonal pools, a train and three playscapes. You can paddle boat or feed ducks. As an aside, bread is bad for ducks. They LOVE thawed frozen peas though and they are good for ducks, geese and fish alike. Also, the trees are amazing here. They are huge. It is a great spot for both young and old.

I really enjoyed my time at the aquatic complex - the only thing really open during Covid. There is an entry fee but it’s small - $8 for adults. They water is cold! And there is a lot of moss at the bottom. No big deal just bring water shoes. Some parts are really deep - up to 12 ft so if you aren’t a strong swimmer bring a life jacket or rent one. There is a place on the side where you can sit in the water and it’s pretty shallow. Overall great place to go for a swim while it’s still hot.

I didn’t use the bathrooms so I have no opinion about those. Great Parks, very family Friendly. Lots of handicapped rails so very Handicap Friendly, some sidewalks end though so beware of that. My Grandmas wheelchair has a seatbelt so I had no problem going on the grass if the sidewalks ended, but it was a short and easy venture anyways. Lots of beautiful bridges & lots of benches to sit on. Being right next to the River is so gorgeous & I love how there are so many parts of the little rivers where they preserve the beautiful nature!
