$8 well spent. The staff was so knowledgeable! I learned more about the history of New Braunfels today in the tour than I did after an hour at the library looking through NB history books. I would recommend visiting this small museum if you have time.

Cool history but it is kinda pricey $8 for an adult for such a small museum. The museum has substance, but could really do more to show the history of German Texas.

The staff here was very friendly and helpful! They knew exactly where everything was and took a very minimal amount of time to retrieve the requested items. I will definitely be telling people about this place.

The lady at the front was extremely and the hag made me and my sister not even really want to go in. We paid the $8/each anyway and the whole museum was just one room that took 5 mins to walk through and be over with. Huge regrets.

A really special museum that makes one appreciate the region more. Make sure you take a tour, which is free. If you go without a guide you will doubt the value of it.

Ahhhh, this place is a mind- vacation! While passing through the Hill country of Texas I stopped to see the cabin home of an early day Texas botanist and was told of this museum so I went there the next day. From his botany prints to artifacts from early day settlers in Texas I was mesmerized for hours. Go see what Texas nature is all about.

Located on the original site founded by Prince Carl of Solms-Braunfels, the museum helps tell the story of New Braunfels & the people who settled & thrived here. Historical records, maps, & genealogical information also there.
