Was my first visit to a dog park I took my 14-month-old Rottweiler. Had a wonderful time I love the way it was laid out excellent. Look forward to going back taking my dog.
Great place to bring your dog and relax. Place is usually clean and they have water available for the dogs. Their is a walking path near by and a place for kids to play.
Nice place. Kinda stinky. To be expected tho. Nice people.
People need to pay more attention and clean up after their pets. Water fountain in the large dog area should be a hose not a dripping fountain. Picnic table is so close to the fence dogs can escape, needs to be moved
Theyve planted some trees since the last time I was there which looks real nice and provides some more shade.
My dog always loves going here and playing with all the pups. Be careful though. They dont enforce the rule about small dogs in the small doggie portion of the park. So sometimes you have a packing issue. Big doggies team up on smaller doggies. So if you have a small dog, please separate. Not everyone can afford Someone elses vet bills.
This is a great park. Multiple areas to play and lots of equipment to play on. Looks like the water is shut off (yay 2020!), but a great park.
Had a great time on our first visit... lots of friendly dogs... lots of friendly people. My sons pup had a great time mingling with both.
Didnt know about this place. Just happened to ride up on it. Saw a lot of beautiful fur babies and their owners. Made me cry Wouldve been a wonderful place to take my two babies if they were still here with me!
Great places for dogs. Lots of shade and fresh water.
Love this place because of the river in the back! My husband and I love taking our pup here to play, and if you’re trying to socialize your dog, there’s almost always other dogs there no matter what time we visit. The river is easy to walk through with Chacos/Tevas/water shoes, and has some deeper areas for your dog to swim. So bring some water toys if they’re good at fetch (there is a current). But watch out— there’s snakes. Especially watch out in the tall grass in the middle of the bank.
Well taken care of and the people was nice
The park was quiet, close proximity to where we were waiting for our car to be fixed. Not crowded. It was durind the Covid 19 pandemic. We needed to get some exercise.
If the weather is nice this place gets a lot of people with dogs. Had a great time, dogs got to socialize and the kids got more comfortable with dogs. Nice river entrance behind the park as well, picturesque. My only complaint would be that the large dog section is currently closed due to construction and wet cement. Still, my dogs love chasing the little dogs around, good time had by all.
2 separate pens with access to the Greenway. Always nice, friendly pets and people.
Nice place for your dogs to run and play off leash and have a chance to socialize with other dogs.
Beautiful area and set up well. Park is great but too many dogs off leash outside of the fence. Also, aggressive dogs that could not be controlled by their owner.
The only amenity it a dog water fountain that is mostly broken. There is a hose sticking out of the side that you can get water from but it creates giant clay mud puddles. Theres a good amount of grass, very little shade and people let their dogs sit on top of the picnic table. There is two fenced off areas, I would assume the small side Is meant for small dogs but there is no sinage. When I was there there was an agressive dog on that side. All of the dead patches of grass are clay, so if its rained recently you WILL be leaving with a orange dog. Its unavoidable. The river every one mentioned in these comments is not part of the dog park and is a good walk away. Still very nice.
Really great dog park. Has two sections on for little dogs and one for larger ones. The really cool part about this park is the river outback. Also features a fountain so the dogs can refresh themselves out there in the heat. Friendly owners and the park is clean. What more can you ask for.
Wonderful park. Several fenced areas with equipment for different sized dogs. Typical park issues- muddy areas and poop not being picked up. Will definitely return when in the boro!
Good sized dog park!! Not too big, not too small.
Love this place specially since the upgrade. Wish they would be strict on not so friendly pups... Always scared at first to let mine off the leash
Very clean and well kept
Cool place. Lots of nice dogs and one mean one. Lol. Well be back
Love it, access to the water is great too.
Lets not overthink this place. Its a dog park. Its a large fenced-in area for all the dogs to play there shade under one pavilion, a few other benches and tables. theres is running water for the dogs. Theres also another fenced-in area for a little dogs so they can play in peace as well. Nothing complicated its all really easy its a dog park.
Great dog park! Big play area with sun and lots of shade trees. Lots of water bowls around. Large grassy meadow behind the park for our dog to really run and its right next to the Stones River to cool off in.
Its huge, lots of space. Separate sides for small and large dogs. Next to the green way, near a river for those hot summer days. Limited parking but we use the grass whenever we run outta pavement.
First time there. Unfortunately no other smaller dogs. I did see someone put their smaller dog in with the bigger ones and it wasnt good. Was clean and more than enough room to run. Will definitely return.
It connects to the Greenway which is really cool
Gave it a 5 because of size and accessibility. Big with some trees for shade. Also has an area just for smaller dogs. Has water available. Greenway trail is near by. As one would expect, there are some bare dirt areas, but grassy areas appear to be routinely mowed while some other bark parks are not.
Take my fluff ball of a dog there pretty regularly. Only issue I have is people dont watch their dogs all the time and are more concerned with socializing themselves.
My dog absolutely loved it! He was so excited to be able to run around and play with other dogs. We dont have much yard space living in the city limits. He cried when we left the park. We will definitely make the park a part of Sunday family day.
Please cut the grass more often.
Great place for dogs and people, I love that there is a creek nearby for the critters to play in. There is plenty of parking and the park is well maintained. My favorite place to take my pups!
Plenty of room for the pups to run, a bit of shade. Best of all you can bring your dog down to the river, which is shallow and awesome for dogs.
I loved visiting the Bark Park with my small, 15 pound dog. However, like all dog parks, it has some fenced areas with significant patches of mud. Theres a huge section for the large dogs, and a large section for small dogs. Theres a water fountain on the large dog side, but not the small dog side. Thats bit a discriminatory and should be corrected. Also, be weary of people that take their larger dogs into the small dog side.
A piece of the country right here in town!
Our dog loves this place. Its the perfect size and the dogs have always been nice.
My baby girl loves making new friends at this dog park.
Absolutely love this park. The pup does too. People are friendly and the split yard, field, and creek make it a one stop spot to get the dogs energy out.
This place is at a very convenient location. Its always clean and I always feel safe here.
It was okay. Greenway was better. Nearby creek if you or your four legged child likes to play in the water.
I love this park! They have an area for small and big dogs, take mosquito spray.
We take my dog here a lot. My complaint would be more about the other pet owners than the place itself. Other pet owners need to pick up the stinkies your pets leave behind. And the water bowls left out are not very clean either. But then our dog is extremely pampered lol.Other than that, love the location near the Greenway and the river! And also love how the big dogs can be separated from the little ones.
Great place to take the doggos.... Nicely fenced in with a huge area for large dogs and a smaller area for small dogs or puppies.
I dont have a dog, just observing from Greenway. Very popular. Parking at park or also accessible from Greenway. Large fenced area. Also large unfenced field. Access to the creek is near there too.
Great area. Lovely 0ark for the dog and a kids play area within walking diatance. Just keep your dog leashed until you get the chance to see how all the dogs are. Everyone was super friendly except for the expected few that dont discipline their pets!
Large, fenced in area for dogs to gather and be social! There are two separate areas: one for small dogs and one for large dogs.We have been there a couple times now and have enjoyed our time. As with any park kind of area, youll get a mixed bag of people. However, most of the people we have met there have been super friendly. The park supplies bows (and a fountain to fill them) and poop bags for the dogs, and picnic tables for the people (some covered). Its unfortunate that some people dont utilize the provided bags. Walking through the area is like walking through a mine field, but what do you expect when dogs gather and play all day? There is little oversight by any officials; so the park is pretty regulated by the people using it. So, its up to the owners to be able to either control their dog, or restrain them when something does happen. Not saying this is a bad thing, because having to station someone there would probably mean the park wouldnt be free to use anymore.Overall, a great place to take your dog, and we will continue to take ours there!
I went ahead and gave the park 5 stars because its not their fault jerks use this park. I have a younger dog Ive been gradually socializing. Shes tiny, so I like the little dog area. But, every time Ive been, people with large dogs just come in unexpected. It makes the process really difficult for people with small dogs. Especially when they are learning how to dog. Besides that and poop everywhere (again, not the fault of Bark Park) its really nice. There are dirt areas, but also a lot of good grass. Even with benches in the littles area, I dont mind sitting in the pee grass with my little one as she acclimates. In general, the not jerks are majority. She has her little friends she has seen a couple times who are helping her out. It is nicely shaded and also sunny. I love that there is an area for mannered dogs to be off leash right outside the gated area. I also love that its right off the Greenway because I can park at any trailhead and walk there, or just park at the park. Its great. A little confusing to get out the first time I parked at the park, though. There are double gates on each side of the park, so whether youre coming off the Greenway or parking lot, access is easy.
Wonderful place for both pups and people alike to socialize and have some fun. We go almost every day!
Good spot to let your dogs run free and mingle with other dogs people were friendly and their where built-in water fountains for the dogs tho drink fresh water...also enjoyed walked the greenway trail that is right behind the bark park ..
My dog loves it. Its great.
Clean and well kept. Little known nugget...accross the large field thats on the other side of the fenced entryway youll see 2 or 3 breaks in the wooded area that surrounds the park. Duck through any one of these openings to find nicely worn trails. Any of one of these trails leads to a large creek with plenty of little spots to picnic or hangout. Creek is clear with both shallow and deep areas making it a versatile when it comes to activities. Lots of fun!!!!
Nice area. Plenty of shade.
My k9s love to play here. Everyone is a pet parent and all are great to converse with. Wonderful place to hang out.
Wish there was more to it.....
Its a good size Park. Its fenced in, and they do have water stations for the dogs which is really nice. Theres a lot of dust see usually as there are places where its just dirt with no grass. You do kind of have to watch where you walk, as it appears not everybody follows the rule of picking up after their dogs here.
Love this place. Can get a bit dusty, but a good place for large or small dogs.
An excellent place to let your dog run free and play. Lots of enclosed space, tons of friendly dog owners that are respectful and not far away a running river to cool your pet down in. Beautiful park, plenty of supplies to pick up after your pet and dispose of it. A great place to build your relationship and exercise routine with your pet.
Great place. ....it would be great to have more areas though out city
We love bringing our Penny monster here, so much room for her to run around and the doggy river play area is absolutely fantastic!
Dogs love the park. Pretty clean. Good fence
Its ok. People dont clean up behind their pets. The plus is that it has a small dog area and a large dog area so they are split up. Parking is not great and its pretty packed on nice days causing people to park in the grass lot. We parked there 1 time and got a nail to the tire so we avoid that area. The people are really nice though that bring their dogs even if a lot of them dont clean up behind them.
It a quaint place to take your dog. Fenced in areas for small/large dogs and a wide open field for fetching as well as a opening through the trees that leads to a nice open creek with flowing water thats not too deep if they like to swim.
Great place to take your small dog or big.... Their separated into two individual parks.... I have a jack Russell and he loves it.... Gives him a chance to socialize.... Really good place.....
Great place to take my dog and meet new nice people
The best - my puppy & I love it (small dog side).
This was my first time here I took her dog she was awesome the dog park is awesome everybody there was friendly the setup is nice the maintenance is really nice the yard was kept up you know there werent any wild animals running around you know no rabbits are nothing for the dogs to chase off you know after its far enough away from the street that way you dont got to worry about your animal getting loose from you and getting ran over its really nice really good setup and I highly recommend it
To small for big dogs! 3 stars for doggie water fountain
The park is great. It has a place for both small and large dogs and breeds; its also is next to a big field that will allow your pups to run.
Nice park for the four legged friends, after rain the bigger side is a mud pit but all in all a good park.
Nice layout with different sides and an open field for the pups to play.
Very nice place . the dogs loved it
The large open area and walking path
Great place to take your fur babies. Needs a more sitting areas. But all the improvements that were done are great.
Kinda sucks that they turn off the water in the winter but just be prepared to bring your own water and its great!
This place is great! I take my dog there all the time when its nice out! He enjoys it and so do I!
Great large stretch of land for the pups. Water supply still doesnt work
My dogs love it. Lots of space. Separate areas for little dogs, if you have one that is skittish of others.
Love it here. Wish people better trained their pups not to jump on people and cleaned the poo after their dogs but other than that perfect to let your baby socialize and run and play and fresh water and toys all over the place
I bring our adopted shepherd mix dog here often. The few negatives is the old toys and dog poop lying all over due to pet owners not paying attention or caring to clean up. It is of course a muddy mess for a few days after a rain. The city shuts the water supply off during the winter whether it is freezing temperatures or not. The pros are the large pins for dogs to play in. There is one for small dogs and one for medium to large dogs. There are several benches and tables and one is covered. Ive always found poop bags in the free dispensers and room in the many trash bins. There is also a large open area outside the pins, adequate parking and a river nearby that some owners take their dogs to wash off or cool down. Lastly it is next to the expansive greenway trail if you wish to walk your dog on a leash. See you there!
Friendly people and cute pups
Great dog park, always lots of people and dogs. Has separate area for small to medium breeds.
Very nice dog park. Not the largest Ive been to, but certainly not the smallest Ive been to either. There is a fountain for the dogs and plenty of shade and benches.
Nice park, but like any dog park youre going to have people who dont manage their dogs, bring dominant or aggressive dogs and get mouthy when their dog causes problems and people say something. Watch out for the couple with the white bull terrier.
