Took my grandsons (6 & 4) on Saturday. They really enjoyed all of the dinosaur displays and especially the T-Rex. The mineral display were interesting too. Right sized for young kids, but lots to interest older ones and adults too.
Visited third shift staff last night while delivering food to the homeless of Murfreesboro with Hope Outpouring. Nice folks with big hearts who offered to help.
This place is awesome! Yes it is small, but the people who work and volunteer there are knowledgeable and love the topic. A young woman named Harper gave us a tour of the T-rex room, my wife and I agree she was fantastic! I am also a Gemologist so the mineral room was super cool. Again yes its small but its worth it. Support these guys theyre non profit and want to share the joys of this Earths experience.
What a cool gem this place is! My family had a great time here. It is a short attraction, but it is a wonderful and inexpensive experience.
Super great place to go with your kids to spend a few hours. Staff friendly and great displays!
I took my three small children, ages six and five, to Earth Experience for a day trip of exploring and experiencing history. When we walked in we were greeted kindly by staff. We paid our entrance fees which were very affordable and then a staff member began explaining how the tour would go. She was knowledgeable and friendly. As we began to walk through we were taken by the beautiful collection of historical pieces they have on display. It was awesome. This place is some hands on so my kiddos enjoyed their experiences even more. There is some amazing pieces from Tennessee. We were greeted by another staff member. He told us about these pieces and had extensive knowledge about every single one. He was outstanding for sure. The coolest part for my children was their T-Rex. It was super cool! Its huge and beautiful. Theyve got a good souvenir shop as well. My kiddos grabbed something for each hand.If youre looking for something to do and have time for a day trip this place is a must see. It isnt big but their collection is gorgeous. The staff is fantastic. I will definitely return for another tour and would bring my kids again. I would also recommend to family and friends because natural history museums are great.
What a gem! The amount of unique and fascinating specimens at Earth Experience is astounding. Took my 5 year old dinosaur enthusiast to see the T-Rex skeleton, and there was SO much more to see. There is even a playroom for younger kids. And so many things can be touched, unlike other places we have been. The staff were great. They went above and beyond to encourage my son and answer any questions he had. Time for a family pass!
This is a wonderful little museum. Please visit and support our local businesses
Wonderful place, such nice employees! Such a great experience!
Its small, but has an amazing collection! My boys loved it!
Very nice exhibit of fossils, rocks and minerals. My wife and daughters enjoyed all the displays. The admission cost was not bad either. As an out of Towner it was a little hard to find, but the GPS got us right there.
A true gem! You could spend hours here enjoying the diverse and rich collection of fossils, rocks, history, and dinosaur displays. The staff is super friendly and informative. Their phone app helps dinosaurs come to life through virtual reality. Super kid friendly. Highly recommend it.
Great place to take the kids or a first date. This is a wonderful place to spend your time, time is more valuable than money. The price is very reasonable for the experience. And very affordable to take the family. I highly recommend stopping by. You will learn something and be excited about. For the price even if its not the experience of a life time at least you will not feel like you have been ripped off
I didn’t get any pictures but we went with 2 of our boys ages 10 and 2. And everyone, adults included enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly as well. Unfortunately the hands on for the kids weren’t available due to Covid but my 2 year old was over the moon.
Its amazing how much theyre able to fit in a small space. You will not be disappointed in the specimens they have on display.
Great place to visit. If you have kids this is a must do.
Great little museum to bring the kids too.
Super cool! A gem of Murfreesboro! Staff is super friendly and helpful! There is so much to do and look at!
Did not get to stay long but its way better in person than youd think! The beautiful geodes, jewelry, and fossils as well as knowledgeable staff are worth the $7. admission fee.
Great museum with a lot of interesting finds and facts. Ran by the archeologist.
This is a great place for nature lovers. The museum houses thousands of specimens, ranging from fossils and petrified wood,to beautiful stones and crystals. Each piece has an identification card,so you know where it originated. Earth Experience is kid-friendly,as there are hands-on specimens available, not to mention the giant T-Rex skeleton, which is sure to impress almost anyone! There are plenty of great photo opportunities, and while the museum is small, they pack a lot into that space. It takes about an hour to get through the exhibits, more if you stop to read each card. There is an on-site gift shop where you can purchase samples of stones, and if you have questions, the staff is amazing and so passionate about their work.
Nice little museum artifacts from local towns great for a little get out for the day activity..
Very educational and reasonable prices. I will definitely be visiting again!
Visited the Earth Experience - Middle Tennessee Museum of Natural History (yup…right here in Murfreesboro) with my granddaughter. I must say…this place is AWESOME and is a Murfreesboro hidden gem. From fossils, different gemstones and rocks, petrified woods, and DINOSAURS!!! We got to see a cast of a full size T-Rex that was found in Montana...so cool!!! The wealth of information in this place is extensive and the folks running the place were incredible. Everyone took time to explain, teach, and just talk about how the fossils were found. The gentleman who told us all about the T-Rex (sadly I forgot his name) was so entertaining and informative. They also have a Jeweler on site…Mr. Bill Jackson who told such great stories about jewelry...very interesting. Not sure how often the exhibits change but this was well worth the time…educational AND entertaining.
Small museum. Great for young kids. Friendly, knowledgeable volunteer workers.
Wonderful museum. T rex alone is worth the price of admission and there is so much more to see. Highly recommend.
Great collection of paleontology and geological specimens. Worth the trip from Nashville and the minimal cost to get in. Kids 4 and under are free.
This place is truly a hidden gem. It is run by volunteers and has a wide variety of local and worldwide displays.
Ive it was best place to learn about dinosaurs and minerals very kid friendly
It was a fun way to spend a few hours and learn about the planets. Definitely a great place for kids!
Loved looking at the fossils and gems and minerals. Jeweler on site is amazing for 90 years old. Great guy, very helpful and great people volunteer there
Had a great time. Went for the dino egg hunt. It went well. It was small museum but very informative and staff was great. Neat exhibits and loved the jewelry for sale
It was awesome! Alan spent so much time talking with us and our kids. Highly recommend!
This is a great little museum! Dont let the size fool you, there is a ton to look at in here. For sure worth a visit.
My wife and I heard about this place and decided to go visit it. What an amazing place. Admission was totally affordable at $7. At first you look at the outside of the building and it doesnt feel like a museum at all because it is in a warehouse district. You go in and are walking through nicely presented fossils and skeletons. There is a geologist that works with rocks and creates beautiful jewelry. The curator goes on excavations in the badlands territory of Glendive, MT. That is definitely Dinosaur central for anyone who is thinking of a degree in Anthropology. This is such a neat jewel in terms of Natural History museums. I definitely recommend it, and you should definitely take your children to this place for quite the learning experience when they reach the age where Dinosaurs are on their mind. The grand finale is the HUGE T-Rex skeleton that is assembled and close up. I say check it out. You wont be disappointed.
Intersting place in a very obscure location. Full t rex skeleton. Very cool
Very nice museum. Staff very knowledgeable. Great exhibits
This little hidden gem was like magic to my three year old. Its a small place but has so much inside. Things little ones can actually touch. Older children can learn from this as well. Highly recommend for any one interested in dinos or rocks.
Great place for kids, my boys loved it
I liked it and there are a lot of interesting things to see and touch. It is a small museum in the warehouse district. I can tell the people there are passionate about what theyre doing.
Small museum, very reasonably priced. You can get through it in less than an hour. The archeologist was there and talked to my kids, an artisan was making jewelry and spent a good 20 minutes talking with my 8 year old answering all his questions. There was a small playroom for my 2 year old twins to play in and explore dinosaurs through books, puzzles, and toys. The Museum had glow in the dark rocks which were very cool. But the best part was all the huge bones, and of course the t-rex!
A great way to learn and entertain your KIDS
Im not a big fan of history, but this place is so cool and interesting

It was the greatest experience at a dinosaur museum I have ever been too. They were all kind and talked to us about everything. I would recommend anyone who loves dinosaurs and minerals to go here they will have a blast.
What a fun place for the whole family. We took our kids, ages 5-17, and everyone had a good time. The exhibits were great and very informative. Sure, its small, but admission is more than fair for the exhibits on display. Like another reviewer mentioned there is a room with dinosaur toys for the younger kids (or kids at heart) when they need a break from learning. There is also a lot of hands-on material with multiple opportunities to touch various rocks, fossils, and artifacts.
OH WOW, this place was way beyond what i thought it was going to be. Had no idea we were going to see DINOSAURS!!! Very interactive, super intelligent, helpful and just awesome. They also have lots of different types of rocks, stone, geodes, crystals, minerals and anything else that come out of the ground. Love this place. Will be returning very soon. I CANT WAIT!!!
Great place. Very interesting and workers are very friendly and knowledgeable.
My grandson loves dinosaurs and enjoyed all the fossils and of course the full t rex
Very educational experience .I really enjoyed the tour and look forward to returning .
This place is awesome. Its small and inconspicuous, but there are some extemely interesting displays and in depth info.
This place was great! When we walked in the ow er was quite friendly and told us where to go. As we walked around the geologist in the mineral room was extremely helpful. This place is a hidden gem so make sure to stop by!
Really awesome!! Kids loved it, and learned alot!!
Perfect place for taking the children. The staff were very friendly and more than willing to share all of their stories of each fossil, and the history behind them. Really great experience. They are very knowledgeable and helpful.
Wow. Just wow. If you’re looking for a great afternoon, you’ve found the right place. So much to see, learn, and enjoy. Only a few bucks for an awesome experience. 10/10 will be back
Havent gone yet wasnt open when we were in area. Cant wait to go to a hands on museum of bones! Sounds really fun and interesting to see.
This is a wonder place to go. Many fossils of all kinds of creatures and plant life from millions of years ago.
Its a great affordable place to go or take kids to see a really cool T-Rex skeleton. They have a lot more than that but I do not know much about the rest. They do have a rock that bends that is really cool and some fossilized poop you can hold haha. You should definitely check it out!
Its so much more than the outside may let on, theres a fully standing T-Rex cast on display along with an amazing selection of fossils and minerals. Its small, but its also so cheap for hours of enjoyment. Staff is highly informative and friendly. I highly recommend checking them out!
Had a wonderful time with a great friend. I definitely recommend going! Its well worth traveling off the beaten path.
Hidden treasure here in Murfreesboro
We took our 3 & 5 year old grandsons. They were so amazed & had so much fun. Cant wait to go again!
I absolutely love the Earth Experience museum. It is the only one like it in TN. They have so many awesome fossils and mineral samples. They also work hard to create quality replicas to sell so you can take part of the museum home as a souvineer. They are alywas having events for the whole community to enjoy. Plus they have one of the only 3 unique T-Rex replicas in the US. It is most definitely worth a second and third visit.
I love Mr. Jackson. The staff is very knowledgeable. Great exhibits
My kids adored all of the displays, especially ones you could handle and interact with.
Such an awesome museum that was rather surprising. The collection is bigger than one might imagine and the T-Rex is huge.
Nice to find a natural history museum in an unlikely place! The facility was very informative and answered questions asked by adults down to young children! They have very complete specimens. Definitely worth the visit... I hope to go back.
This place is awesome!!!! But the people make the visit! We were blown away by the volunteer staff. They were super knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and charismatic! I was worried when we pulled up and saw the exterior. But inside its wonderful. They have so many exhibits. Minerals, fossils, complete TRex skeleton! The whole family had a great time and were just really blown away by how great the staff and exhibits were.
A hidden gem in Murfreesboro! Lots to look at, and the dinosaurs!!!!! So great! The staff (volunteers?) are so friendly and knowledgeable. Our group of 4 adults had a great experience and look forward to another visit.
Its smaller then I thought. But still well worth the drive and its amazing! And the price cant be beat!
What an amazing experience! The number of exhibits is truly astonishing and I was blown away how interactive they were. The kids loved it. This is probably the best museum in the area. The staff was knowledgable and friendly and the price was very fair. Will have to comeback once the kids are a bit older.
Great displays of natural history! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Strongly recommend for families or just anyone who wants to see rocks and fossils
Our family had a great time. It is also very kid friendly they even have a playroom for younger children!
Small but amazing. Our kids love this hidden gem
Don’t let the modest front or location fool you. This is a GREAT museum. There is so much to look at inside. You could easily spend 2-3 hours looking at all the exhibits, rocks, fossils, & archaeological finds. Our 8 & 6 yr olds were immediately taken by the all the different displays and we were able to spend 10-15 minutes in each room, jumping from item to item to keep the kids interested.Let’s not forget the T-Rex! In the words of my 8 year old: “Wow. Just wow.” As an adult I had a similar feeling of awe, having never seen a full scale t-Rex fossil in person. In the same room is a full Struthiomimus and a triceratops skull. Again - lots to look at.If you are looking at taking your kids (or yourself) I would say don’t hesitate. Totally worth the (low) cost of admission.
Absolutely FANTASTIC place to stop!!! My kids really enjoyed it.
Very educational. We all enjoyed it. Great for kids and adults of all ages.
Fun experience for the kids. More education focused than fun, its a bit low key, but still a good informative way tinfoil an afternoon. Lots of dinosaur dig info from around the country.
Amazing place. Very friendly and informed staff. Great gift shop with real fossils for sale
Amazing experience for geologists and paleontologists of all ages!
The museum is absolutely amazing! My twins had the best time. The owner and volunteers went out of their way to educate us on everything. This is truly a hidden treasure that I hope more families get the joy of experiencing!
Its an interesting museum for kids and adults
This place is incredible. Truly an undiscovered gem.
Super cool lots off cool information! Loved the fossils and the minerals on display!!!
I could not believe how interactive the entire museum was and how many amazing exhibits they have in such a small space. I literally found myself missing cool treasures because they are everywhere. Plus lets be honest the T-Rex...enough said. Nothing else in the area even comes close.
Staff is super nice and very friendly and has lots of info
Big things do come in small packages in this place. Beautiful collections of minerals, fossils and even jewelry! Lots of good information easy to understand with a bit of science mixed in.
Took our 4 year old son to see the dinosaur and he had a blast! The staff is very friendly and took the time to explain everything to us as well as our 4 year old. Its not just dinosaurs but rocks, sea shells and much more! A must see! We will be back to visit for sure!
Small little place tucked into a mostly industrial area, but SO worth seeking out!! Learn about dinosaurs, fossils, rocks, minerals, topography, WWII, jewelry making, and more! The people volunteering are what really make this small place!! They are right there giving you any information you want or need! Loved supporting their cause and passions!
Great exhibition and wonderful artifacts!
Very nice museum. Exhibits & displays are interesting. Fossils, gems & rocks of many descriptions. Hands on encouraged in some areas. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Admission price is a bargain.
I love museums and my professor runs it, so my girlfriend and I checked it out. Love the exhibits! Most of it comes from local finds which is awesome! I highly recommend for anyone! One of the best museums Ive seen, despite its size.
Got to meet the guy who owns the place, very friendly and helpful. There is a wide variety of fossils, minerals, rocks and everything in between. If it deals with natural history you can most likely find it here. There is also a very large t-rex skeleton, and the only one I have ever heard of having tree fingers instead of the normal two. It was explained that paleontologists always though it had three fingers and that this one was the first to be found with three, thus confirming the theory.
Wonderful! What it lacks in big city grandeur it MORE than makes up for in excellent staff, accessible scientists and a manageable scale.
Great place to look at fossils also they make their own jewelry out of the stones
A lot of really interesting things to see. My children absolutely loved all of the dinosaur stuff they have.
Great place! If you wanna see some cool rocks (trust me, they can be) and a big ol’ T-Rex, go by there!
A little known gem thats worth seeking out. Bring the family, check out all of the gems and minerals, and see the T-Rex.
