This area has covered picnic tables as well as playground equipment for the kids. There is also a Bark Park located there to bring Fido to burn off his energy. It is located next to the Greenway which is located next to the river. A wonderful and scenic place to take a short or long hike. I have brought my dog here to the Bark Park and then let her play in the water of the river to cool off. I would recommend it fully to anyone to come and enjoy a wonderful part of Murfreesboro.

Nice place to bring the children and the dogs, in my case the latter. Fun to let the kids and the critters run and play. The water is nearby if you want to cool off. Nothing better then Marcos Pizza and the Bark Park with your dog at the Trailhead.

Nice facility but don’t even bother with the dog park if you have a small dog. The big ones are untrained, and their owners don’t pay a lot of attention to what’s going on. Had to just leave the past two times I was there because a big one acted like it was going to eat my little one while their owner did nothing.

Its a beautiful location with an awesome playground and covered seating with tables. They have a reservable ramada. There is a dog park, restrooms, walking/biking trail that runs along a little river. Beautiful area.

Nice, easy trail with bridges and mostly tree coverage. Its perfect for biking, walking, kids and running. There is a playground thats closed right now due to the Pandemic. There is also a dog park, covered pavilion with tables and an open field area ideal for Frisbee, picnics, soccer, etc.

My wife and I bought bikes a few months ago. It was the first time I have been on a bike since I was a kid. Since then, we have discovered the many Greenways that have been creaste around the Nashville, Murfreesboro, Smyrna área in the last few years. I am embarrased to admit I really was not aware of these marvelous contributions to the public wellness. If you are intetested in enjoying the beautiful natural Charm of Tennessee Rivers and well kept paved walks, wonderful landscaping and all Nature has to offer, just Google área Greenways you wont be dissapointed. And with all that said, the best of the best is the network of trailheads that encompass the Murfreesboro área. I have experienced Many throughout the área in the last several months and these are the best.. They go for miles, are very well maintained, the scenery is amazing, and the people you will meet will warm your heart.

Amazing to see how high the water was along the greenway from cason trail path entrance to under the bridge by i24.

Could use some doggy bag stations and cans at the head of the trail. Other than that, great park and great trail!

I love the bark park side of it! I take my dog here about 3-4 times a week. Highly recommended. (My dog is the brindle!)

Great greenway

There is a large dog park, a playground and a cover picnic area. The first bit of the greenway is beautiful with great places for portrait taking. Its a pity that so much of the scenery has been destroyed by clearing for more stores.

This place is great for kids to play and for parents to bring their kids. Its situated inside of the neighborhood so its easy to get to. It also makes it easy to see you is coming and going which is why it has always been a safe place for kids to play.

This place is like a second home. One of the trails is blocked off due to construction until the end of this year...otherwise small and seemingly yet undiscovered. A hidden gem. And it connects to Kids Castle...the Greenway on Old Fort Parkway

Amazing place to ride ur bike

It was easy access from the highway and a really nice place to have a picnic and stretch our legs and use the restroom. Although we didnt have our dog with us, there is a very nice enclosed dog run.

Great playground, there is the black rubber chips on the ground around the play area. Nice clean bathrooms, clean water fountain. The trail is nicely paved, no trash seen when we were there.The covered picnik area is separate from the playground but close enough if you have children you can keep an eye on your kids and be in the picnic area. I recommend this park to families with children. Older children may enjoy the trail, bring their music and eat buds, get out and walk the trail, î follows a river, bring your fishing gear.

Love walking here with my family. Quiet and peaceful. Listening to the sounds of Stones River as we walk the trail or sit and relax. Kids love spending time at the play area, and we frequent the dog park to get our pooches some social time. Always clean and well maintained. Definately recommend a stop by to experience it.

Great play area for kids, also has a large fenced dog park. Bathrooms and covered picinic area is next to the play area. There are cycle trails and walking trails leading to the Greenway which for the most part follow the River.

This park has a little of everything... Except for shade on the playground! When I last went there, the city was hosting an Easter Egg Hunt. The pavilion is conveniently located beside the playground. The bathrooms are also close by. One section of the park is a fenced dog park. There is a paved trail that connects to the main greenway that surrounds the city. There is an open, grassy area for kids to play ball, fly kites, or simply run and play.

Great little place. The little park is great for the kids and the dog park is across the parking lot which awesome! The trail head is great but when heavy rains come it may be closed from time to time. The pavilion is great for gatherings and does have grills. There is also a bike tire pump near the bathrooms which is neat for the bike goers.

Tons of fish here catfish bass a couple gar the best spot or at least today is to keep left on the track and go to that bigger bridge

Use to be a nice trailhead but now its nothing but chopped down trees and construction no matter which direction you choose to walk in. They are building condos at the trailhead entrance and building a road once you cross the river, and the trail is closed due to bridge construction if you walk in the other direction.

Great area for the family! Fuzzy and all. Good trail, but the dog park and kid play area make it fun for all.

Hop on the Greenway in two directions- 3 miles to Old Fort Park or they are expanding the other direction to Barfield Cresent Park. Left is hilly, but more shade. Right is flat but more open.

Love it here! Taking walks on the trail is what we usually do but there is also a cool playground and dog park.

I saw my friends here for the last time in a while. We picked this place to go to before I moved. It was fun, and we liked the scenery, the bridge, the playground, and the environment. Nearby my home and very friendly.

We love it. My husband uses it every year to run a 5K for his birthday. There is really pretty scenery. So happy we have something like this here!

Great location! The trail is always kept very clean. There is also a dog park that is pretty large.

This is a great paved greenway system for bicycling. With an out and back ride along the greenway system you can easily get a 14-15 mile ride in, or father with a little creative route planning.Much of it is shaded and along the river so it is comfortable and scenic as well. On our rides we have seen rabbits, turkey, and deer on multiple occasions. The greenway is wide enough to ride two across easily and three across if there is no one else around.We try to ride here multiple times a month due to the nature of the greenway and scenery.

Really nice place to bike ride with family, but it was flooded at one point, we couldnt cross on our bikes.

Such a big and nice park!

Great place to take the kids or dogs. The have a dog park and a place for kids to play. It is attached to the greenway where biking is allowed. Miles of walking or biking. It is all paved next to the river. Not really a crowded place but make sure you have your dogs on a leash if you are on the greenway.

Cason Trailhead is a nice starting point. First couple of miles nicely paved, smooth and open. Road into downtown Murfreesboro and back. Nice trail for jogging, walking and bike riding. Also saw a few skateboarders along the way. Did not complete the entire trail. Some parts of the trail are narrow. As when jogging, walking, riding and skateboarding all should be vigilant and aware of there surrounding.

Beautiful park, nice place to walk the dogs. It would be nice if they had a small dog area for 30 pounds and under like the Smyrna one. I cant speak on the dog area because we dont go into it. We have smaller dogs and with them being rescues with a history of being treated badly by larger dogs its really not an option. The playground is nice for the kids to play and the pavilion is big enough for a large gathering. The park is kept pretty clean considering the amount of people in Murfreesboro who litter.

I like it here. I got a little confused about where the trail ended, and wound up walking way beyond where I should have! Very serene, everyone I passed smiled or spoke to me.

Kinda wet and muddy at dog park

Love this park. Perfect for small children. Not crowded, and has the rubbery ground so that small children can crawl around.

Dog park, family pavilions, playground, trailhead, creek, field to throw a football or something, restrooms. Fun, clean park. What more can you ask? Well swings. Swings would be nice.

Great park and great paved trail. Fairly clean bathrooms. More trash left in the park than I would prefer. Everyone needs to help clean up more than their own mess to make the park special for everyone.
