Beautiful Historic Site! Plenty of information that you can read on on the signs or, you can call a phone tour guide automated system, or even download a virtual tour guide on your phone so that you can check it out at your own pace! Another great thing was there are bike paths and trails all over the place, and if you feel like it you can drive from site to site instead of walking or biking! Great outdoor fun for family or really anyone!
A beautiful and peaceful location, with historical significance. If youre visiting the Stones River National Battle Ground, be sure to stop by McFaddens Ford to learn more about the final day of the battle. There are a few spots near the monument and the river that are perfect for enjoying a packed while reflecting on what happened here. This part of the battlefield is down the road from the Stones River National Battle Ground park, and can be difficult to find, as the markers are a bit confusing.
Great hiking trails, beautiful views, and a sober reminder of our countrys past. Peace and spiritual love to all the Confederate and Union soldiers who lost their lives or who were wounded in battle and their families. Namaste.
Good place with information about last day of this particular battle.
