Ive hiked here several times when I visit family. Now that Im new to the area Ive been on the trails fairly regularly and am continually surprised how much variety there is here. From paved paths to slow going rocky trails its here. I also had my first visit to The Wilderness Station recently and was pleasantly surprised by it. Staff was super friendly and encouraging. Lots of activities for kids and grown ups including educational backpacks to rent to learn about the area. Along with disc golf supplies and snacks if you want to get into that hobby as well.

Plenty for anyone to do. Easy paved walking trails and rocky more challenging trails for hiking. Always pretty clean. I havent explored the whole park yet but it looks like they have a big Frisbee golf course, volleyball, and tons of other stuff just havent made it to that side of the park yet.

What a beautiful park! We stopped here with a picnic on a long trip to avoid restaurants. The restrooms are CLEAN and warm, with plenty of covered picnic tables.

Several covered pavilions, different capacities, open air (good for outside social distancing)... Play areas for those interested... Good trails in the park... I like the West Fork overlook (gif attached).

Some adults were social distancing. Only 2 were not. No masks were worn. Do not walk on the wood chips if you have Arthritis and Gout; made my ankles hurt trying to watch my gson play.5 stars for the 6ft apart benches, great place for small children to play, bathrooms, and a Wildlife Station. Please dont sit in your vehicle watching your child/children play while they are on the playground. Saw a lady with 2 big dogs that were not on a leash.Great place for any age and spacious.

We have absolutely loved living next to this park for the past 17 (or so) years. Idyllic memories of this sprawling pastoral gem will forever remain cast in my mind. I truly love this park & the memories our family has made there.

Great park. Bigger playground and smaller playground for littles and my favorite is the big open green space for kids to run.

Frisbee golf course is nice and well maintained. Watch the ponds on hole 3 and 7, its knee deep in muck.

Great park. Fields are spread out over a long distance. T-ball through babe Ruth age fields. 2/3 of the fields drain water as good as any Ive seen, but a few hold it pretty bad.

The trails are great. Scenery is awesome and if you are lucky you may spot an enormous owl.

Very challenging disc golf course and a nice park.

I always love coming to Barfield. Ive had a very lovely picnic there and I also go every once in a while to hike the trails, which are neat, clean, and not packed with a bunch of people. Theres camping grounds, frisbee play areas, baseball, and also a cool little river on the hiking trail as well (my fav part of the hike!)

Great place for the family to go for walks have get togethers in the pavilions nice playground area. Or just to go and sit down and enjoy the outdoors a little

Barfield Crescent Park is a gorgeous Park and has many things to take advantage of. As you see in my pictures I use the disc golf course which is one of the best course layouts I’ve played. They also have baseball/softball fields, a wilderness center and pavilions all around. People come and hand hammocks and enjoy the park. I highly recommend this park. Also there is a pretty nice hiking trail. So I hope this helps anyone wanting to visit Barfield.

Amazing park, they have Frisbee golf, baseball fields and a play area for the kids!!! Very clean, seems safe. I love going here.

There is a lot of room to play with my friends, but it does not have a playground.

Love the peaceful walks and little swimming area! My dog always has a blast and everyone there walking/running is always polite and cheerful. Never meet a stranger.

Fantastic area of nature in our our own backyard. Lots of activities for everyone, but I really like the trails. Take a few hours to come down and walk on the numerous trails.

Love hiking here. Good for beginners but enough trail to be good for intermediate. Nice water views, has paved and unpaved trails.

Had an amazing time walking 3 miles of the trails with my wife. Beautiful scenery. Definitely more inclines and declines than other trails, I liked it personally though.

This park is huge, it has walking trails, baseball fields, several places for kids to play. Enough free space to play any organized sport. There are plenty of grills and canopies. Some of them have to be rented, but some are first come type. The are camp grounds right behind the park and the greenway will connect to this park in the upcoming years.

Great trails and beautiful scenery! I ended getting lost out here, and my phone died. Still had a wonderful time. Lots of challenging trails, clearly marked, for hikers and bikers. Lovely park

Nice clean park. Well maintained. Great disc golf course-Some open and wooded. First part of course is paved walkway. Easily marked and nice tee pads. Playground, ball fields, hiking and picnic shelters. Paved walking path throughout park. Restrooms available (not porta potty). Check out the Rangers Station and explore!

Awesome park. I mainly go here to play disc golf and the course is great. A few weeks ago they even put brand new baskets on every hole.

This is the closet park to my home. Has nice trail surrounding the grounds. Playgrounds for the kiddies. Baseball/Softball fields are good to watch games in the spring and fall. Frisbee golf to boot. And gas station near park carries frisbee golf supplies.

Great park, very clean and quiet. I love the scenery here, very relaxing and peaceful. My daughter did a photo shoot here and it turned out beautiful. Im going back to get some running in, nice park to do it at

Garfield crescent park is a great city park. There are trails galore, it hooks up to the Greenway and even has campsites! There are also tetherball courts, play grounds, a disc golf course, and baseball fields. If theres something you want to do at a park, you can likely do it here.

Barfield Crescent is a gem in Murfreesboro. The folks who work at the Wilderness Station are friendly and helpful. They have various animals indoors and a beautiful Red-Tailed hawk in an enclosure outside. The primitive path is a fairly easy hike with some relatively steep hills and rocks. It is absolutely beautiful and a lovely hike to the river. There is also a paved path for anyone wanting something easier.

While some of the trail is paved and handicapped accessible, it is confusing and not paved all the way. You have to turn around and go back. Good walk. Wilderness center is fun

Fantastic well kept trails. You can get the feel of hiking without traveling far from home. Not usually crowded and great for pets!

Outdoor heaven with splashes of recreational activities available to all those who go visit. The trails give an excellent feeling of being immersed in the nature around you. Youll find a plethora of things to do and makes a great place to go.You can rent the pavilions for any and all occassions. I went a few years back to a Hindu celebration (Holi) and had a blast!Just go and check it out. Youre gonna have many picturesque memories made and adventures to go on.

Love going to this park. Has separate playground area for toddlers only. One toddler area is fenced in. Love it!

Im a casual disc golf player and love this course. Its a nice and spread out 18 holes. The locals dont have much respect for disc golf however, and you have to watch out for family photo sessions, trail runners, dog walkers, remote control truck enthusiasts, picnics, sunbathers, etc but such is the dilemma of disc golf players everywhere.The back country trail is great which makes it even more puzzling why somebody would trail run on the disc golf course. One of my favorite memories is sitting on the bluff where the trail runs along the river and watching an otter hunt for crawfish. The back country trail connects to a paved trail that would be great for casual walkers.We saw the band Grizzly Goats play on a trailer turned stage by one of the shelters. It was a really good setup but perhaps unrefined. I think the park would be a great spot to have more outdoor concerts, but the park officials dont appear to want them to become too popular.The baseball fields look nice and always have big crowds, but I dont have much experience with them.The shelters are great if shelter parties are your thing with convenient parking and garbage cans.Overall, this is a great park, and I cant wait for the Greenway to connect it to the rest of Murfreesboro.

Wow! Amazing place & great for the whole family. We had my nieces baby shower there and discovered all the awesome activities they had for the entire family. They have rescued animals with information on them. Walking Hiking & Biking trails. Picnic areas & enclosed areas for your special events. Highly recommended

The hike was so fun and the trails we amazing! The kids loved playing on the slides afterwards.

This is one of the cleaner parks here in Murfreesboro... They need to implement their rules on pet owners... Some, walk their dogs without a leash and many dont clean up the poop that their dogs put out on the walking track...

Fantastic park! The wilderness hiking area feels, well, like you are out in the middle of the forest somewhere. You are, but you are also very close to the city. The trails are very well maintained and the markings are fairly easy to spot. There are some areas where the markings can be improved, but if you just stop and look around, they are fairly easy to see. I was amazed that we only met two other people on our hike, and we did an entire loop with a couple of side loops. I think this is one of the Boros best kept secrets! Its a great, quick way to get to a beautiful hiking destination! Highly recommend hiking here.

Love this park. Almost always clean and very well maintained. More shade on large playground would be nice. They recently put cover on small playground, so it may be coming. Granddaughter always asks where the swings are.

Its a great place to take your dogs for a walk and they keep it clean. Good nature walk.
