Just hosted a Private Watch Party for my sons and their friends. It was so much fun and very economical! The theater was very clean and the manager and staff were very helpful and professional. We love this theater and plan to do another watch party in a few weeks. I highly recommend it!

Expensive for sure. Seats are extremely comfortable and recline electronically. Huge selection of snacks. Parking is plentiful. They have an alcohol bar at the theater which was something Ive not seen before. Nice theater.

The theater has very good screens and seats, but the service is always extremely slow at the concession stand. If you want to make it to your movie in time AND want concessions I’d get there at least 20 minutes early if you have digital tickets, 30-40 minutes early if you’re buying them in the theater.

Overall I had a great experience, however, as I was waiting for a friend there wasnt a lot of seating in the lobby so I stood for a little. The theater was really clean (with the occasional popcorn here and there) and I was given a lot of room for my legs. People who were moving about in the aisles (going to the bathroom etc) were easily able to because of how much room we got even with the seats reclined.

The newest theater in Louisville. Typical refreshments as well as a bar area with beer, wine, and margaritas. Every theater has large and comfortable luxury recliners. Doesnt have as many screens as other theaters which is the only reason it isnt 4.5-5 stars. Definite recommend

First time at the Mall Cinemark. Beautiful and most comfortable theater. I saw 1917. Really excellent movie. I wanted to see it because my father at 18 years old was in World War 1.

Too expensive. I prefer village 8. Better popcorn, lower prices, no kids running around, better staff

Pretty damn good movie theater. The only movie theater I know that serves hard drinks. Although having a Long Island Iced Tea with popcorn Its not my thing. Its one or the other.

Great movie experience.

This new Theater was built adjacent to the St Matthews Mall. I went to see a movie there for the first time today. Although, I loved the electric recliner movie seats, this Theater is not equipped to hold large crowds of people. Their seating capacity is smaller than most cinemas and sold out of two showtimes hours in advance.Very nice Theater but small. My advice is to go during non-peak times early afternoon or wait at least two weeks after a New Movie Release.

I saw it in the extreme theater wow i loved all the room i had. The seats felt great. And the audio i could feel the bass in my chest

Just saw the latest Star Wars movie XD 3D! Picture was awesome. Row numbers hard to see. Printed in the carpet. Had a great time!!

Leather electric reclining seats. Super comfortable! The sound and picture are great quality. They give military discounts!! They have an armed guard for added protection.

We watched a movie with the stadium seating that recline, (wonderful). Line was long for getting concessions, (not cool). Free refills on the large popcorn. The sound was not overwhelming as are some theaters.

Best place in Louisville to watch movies!! The seats are amazing and the popcorn (although expensive) is really good. But! A word of warning, the people who frequent this theater WILL pay attention to the seat numbers so pay attention to that when buying a ticket!

Great movie theater. Great popcorn. The place can get busy but then again what do you expect for a movie theater in the middle of one of the most popular malls in the state. The seats are very comfy and the staff here is very nice. Bathrooms were clean.

Nice theater. Comfy seats. I like that I can reserve my seats when ordering tickets. Concessions seemed understaffed and the team had zero sense of urgency. My star will go up when they can get that taken care of. I dont care that its understaffed - people dont show, etc. That I can overlook. But at least pretend you care and you want to move people through the line.

My husband and I went to see Captain American today. Its been a long time since weve been to this theater. We normally go to one thats closer to our house but Cinemark Mall St. Matthews was the only theater showing Captain American in their XD theater with the Luxury Lounger Recliners. We knew it was going to be hard to find a time and place that would satisfy us especially since the movie has been in theaters for weeks. But we were able to get great seats with matinee prices and luxury seating. And another thing that we love, it wasnt that crowded. We didnt have to worry about someone getting up and walking in front of us to go to the restroom or concession stand, we didnt have to worry about too much talking or someones phone accidentally going off. My husband and I had a wonderful afternoon date.... And the movie Captain American was awesome!! I cant wait to see Avengers 4 Endgame!

It’s my favorite movie theater in the area and we drive 40 minutes up from Ft Knox because we always have a good time. The theater manager Dare(?) earned my respect last night by being vigilant in what had to be a stressful night opening of Joker. Very professional. I will continue to support this theater.

Somebody smarter than me: make a way to get butter on a large popcorn where I dont lose 30% of my popcorn when I shake it to try to spread the butter around! Come on man! Gotta be a way

Ive never had a bad experience. The seats are very comfortable and the staff is friendly. Getting through the lines even on busier days for both the snack bar or movie line is quick. A couple of times the volume was set Too loud. That is my only complaint. Nice place!

Really cool movie theater. Luke the manger is not helpful at all. His answer to most things is he does not know. So I say the theater is awesome. The manager is a box of rocks.

As part of the St Mathews mall its extremely convenient for a day out to start or finish with a movie. Not to mention the seats and well cushioned and even recline. Reserve your tickets online and prepare for a great experience.

I really like that all theatres are reserved seating. Great recliner seats with plenty of room.. great deals on early bird tickets and all day Tuesdays.

A decent theater in the area. Pretty much go here for the convenience and because its a big theater so they have plenty of showings. The past time we went though, it seems their kiosks (both outdoor and indoor) were out of order, so you have to wait in the ticket line to pick up your tickets. Basically nonsense because youve paid ahead and still have to wait in a line to pick your tickets up. Hopefully they fix the kiosks soon.

Great movie Theater. Prices of food could be a little cheaper. But overall great. And seats recline and you can pick your own seats.

Nice place. Must enter from main entrance cannot access through mall. My first visit I went to wrong theatre. It was playing in 2 separate theaters. Ticket lady said 3rd. I made a quick stop to ladies room and thought ok 3rd door.. right movie on sign... oops was supposed to go all the way to end of hall where it turns left & theres more theaters ! I seen a bit more but still never seen whole beginning. Very nice place friendly staff. Great seating!!

Today we went to see the new Disney movie, The Nutcracker. Purchased tickets in advance, reserved seating, picked up our printed tickets from the box office, so excited! Then, someone decided to change the auditorium # but not inform patrons. That is unacceptable as a business practice, no matter the company.

My favorite thing about this theater is the comfortable seats as well as having the choice of choosing them rather than sit anywhere. But what i dont like is the rude attitude my husband received from one of the managers. The situation was dealt with by not in a professional way. The manager seemed young and inexperienced on how to handle customer service or speak to a customer. Im not here to shame, but just do better next time.

Comfy seats, a bar, a good movie... whats not to love? Everyone is always polite and nice, and the theatre is always clean. My theatre of choice!

Theater was clean and the seats are comfortable recliners. The best part was the fantastic employee who printed our tickets, took our popcorn and drink order, and directed us to our theater. We were a late showing so Im sure normally it would be several people, but tonight it was one young man who could not have been nicer, more helpful or have a better attitude. I wish I knew his name but Cinemark, you are lucky to have him. My absolute only complaint would be that it was quite cold in the theater, maybe had it been full it would have been warmer. I definetly recommend this theater.

Prefer the Tinseltown location as the staff here could be better. I have had issues on multiple locations either with rude cashiers/ticket takers as well as the lights not turning off until someone complained during one showing and during another the audio not turning on until someone complained...so, again, staff not that great. But comfy seats and good quality theater overall.

Hope others dont find out about this gem! Great reclining seats and clean new theaters. My only gripe is prices... I understand high movie prices but I spent 18.50 on two drinks and a large popcorn!A friend spent 30$ for one large drink and some candy and a popcorn.... Thats crazy!

Seats are more narrow with the drink holders lower than the armrest. Xscape does it better but other than that, its a fine theater.

This was my first visit with family to Cinemark Mall St. Matthews. I had purchased tickets from Fandango for family members in the past but this was my first time to purchase tickets and attend this theatre. As with past purchases, I got to choose our seats during the purchase. There has never been a problem with seats. The theatre was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our Mary Poppins movie.

The movie theater is always clean, and we didnt have any issues. I only gave 4 stars because we went to an early morning showing and had to wait 10 min past the show time to be checked in even though we already purchased tickets through Fandango.

My go to theater. Pop corn is pretty good though expensive.

This theater is very nice and most if not all of the theaters inside include recliner seating. The screens are very nice and Ive never experienced any issues. The workers here are very kind and always have a smile when helping out! This is the closest theater to my house and I vastly enjoy coming here when I want to see a movie!

Usually an awesome experience here. Tuesdays are cheap days, normally great. Seems they decided to offset this by turning the AC off. Multiple people complaining and were told it is set by someone else and there was nothing that could be done. Movie was great but sitting in a steam room isnt the best way to watch a movie.

Good popcorn but had to wait with only one concession person.

Out of other movie theaters in the Louisville area, this is our favorite theater by far. Convenient location, lounge seating, nice screens, and clean overall. Like all theaters, food and drinks are overpriced unfortunately. Other than that, we especially enjoy their XD theater for watching movie premieres. As an added bonus, there is lounge recliner seating in all of the theater rooms at this Cinemark. You can also conveniently order your tickets in advance online, reserve your desired seats, and pick up the tickets at the print-off stations in the front to avoid the lines.

Ok experience... Zero of the self ticket kiosk were working so you are forced to wait in the same line with people that didnt preorder tickets.Also the air conditioner wasnt running. I had to leave the theater to go speak to someone. I was advised that its not controlled on site that they had called to get it turned on but it was already on the brink of sweat production warmth and humidity.

Great cinema but I wish they had trays on their awesome XD seats.

My favorite theater. Comfortable and the snacks I want.

Nice theaters with reservation capabilities and chairs that are adjustable and comfortable. However in many of the theaters if you lean back in the chairs your sight line on the bottom of the screen is obscured by a wall. Not the end of the world since not much happens on the bottom of the screen but a design flaw nonetheless. Also online reservations through Fandango are the only apparent option since the Cinemark site insisted I purchase their MONTHLY service. This is an expense I did not want or need and could not justify bit I could not get it out of my cart! Fandango adds 8 dollars and change to the cost which is also excessive. Unfortunately all this means we have to justify family visits to the movies and choose to wait for more movies to hit pay per view.

Theater is a little small and has few screens, so they dont always have a lot of options. However the quality of screenings has always been great, and the seats are extremely comfortable and well spaced. Very clean for a movie theater too!

Great NextGen theater from Cinemark! Only downside is that the arm rests don’t go back far enough to be flush with the seat when reclined, but that’s not enough to lose a star.

An Ok theatre overall. Traditionally the parking is OK and the concessions are Good. Had issues with the recliner is not working in a couple of visits.
