We visited this theater on 10/16. Everything was very clean, staff was Awesome, especially Chase! Cinema was excellent, we had a great time.

Seen the movie Infidel..great movie. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Everything looked clean and inhabitable

Facility was clean. But the sound for the imax movie was so loud during voice only scenes the speaker was crackling. Asking staff to turn down the volume was zero help and everyone was plugging the ears to ease the pain.

Had a great experience! Ordered tickets online, scanned by the usher. Went right in. Excellent sound. Very clean restroom.

I had a very enjoyable experience at this location. My wife and I saw Frozen 2 and loved it. The theater was fairly clean before the movie and the seats were somewhat comfortable. This theater isnt our first choice, but that is strictly due to distance, however AMC Stubs is such a great deal that we only go to this one. Five stars if they were able to upgrade to more comfortable seating.

Had an amazing Tuesday date night, the facilities were clean, the service was proficient and speedy,the staff was friendly. Specifically the Bartender who was very charming and charismatic making me and my dates experience that much better. The only reason it wasnt a 5 star night, the snacks were over priced but I think thats an expectation at any movie theater.

Came to see New Mutants the movie theater seats where 1950 model. And it was stale and hot... Plus i pais $8.79 for popcorn with no refill.Should have kept my 50$ and stayed homeWill not be back to Stoneybrook

The movie theater was good, people were polite and it was clean. Had no problems with it till I got home. My mother lost her phone there and we didn’t realize it till we got home. I have tried to call them multiple times! About 20 times now and they still are not answering the phone with no way to leave a voicemail or any way of being able to contact them at a different number.

Nice movie theater. Pretty standard now a days. Clean and comfortable. Only reason 4 out of 5 stars Is multiple occasions have received cold or old popcorn. They could use more staff at the concessions.

Nice place but poorly ran! I arrived 30 minutes early to my movie. Upon entry only one automated ticket system was working so line was backed up. 3 concession workers with 20 theatres. Come on that’s just not smart. Line was backed up as well for concession as well. No one to tear tickets. They do have the coke freestyle machines but almost all drinks were out. Needs better management!

No reclining seats, only rocking. Seats are small. Owner stated a year ago they have no plans to upgrade the location. Better to go to the other theatres in town. AMC pass is a good deal if we had better seating.

If I’m spending $26 for two tickets to a movie on a Tuesday I expect reclining seats.The lobby is dirty.The building and parking lot is empty and dark.This place use to be so nice and now it just looks sad, especially for the price.The theater has lights out.Plus the commercials sound played with no screen for twenty five minutes.Someone had to go complain that the movie hadn’t started fifteen minutes after the movie was suppose to play.Don’t spend your money or your time at this place.

Excellent theater. Easy and quick ticket dispenser. Ample parking abe great location close to highway.Each theater has good seats, great sound and visuals.This is a big complex with 20 theaters, so many movies to choose from.You staff are excellent professional and friendly.I will go there many more times!

Went to see the grateful dead movie. We had fun but the younger crowd just didnt understand social cues or have much awareness. They choose to block 100% of the vista from Jerrys side. So we left. What a long strange trip that 2 hours was

It wasnt bad. The theater was extremely cold. The sound was just right though. It wasnt over baringly loud like most theaters, honestly the volume was perfect.

Its seemed like, for years, that movie theaters have been slowly taunting me to not come back - with increasing ticket prices, mediocre way-overpriced food, and diminishing customer service. Today, all three of the aforementioned came together for me - and it feels like the final dare, issued by the industry, for me to never return again. Endgame indeed. The final fleecing. Maybe its my age and common sense intersecting the financial realities (the death grip) that streaming entertainment has on the classic-and-about-to-go-the-way-of-drive-ins-bricks-and-mortar-movie-theaters.Lets establish some groundwork here, before you and I invest far too much time with this review:1. I have no ax to grind with AMC, Stonybrook, the industry or any employee/owner related to this review. I’m not trying to get anyone in trouble, nor do I know anyone who works there. I won’t even identify the time/day I visited - even though these details may be relevant to my experience in some ways, it seems secondary to the bigger picture.2. I, probably like you, have been watching movies, at theaters, since I was a fetus. Its Americana. Its entertainment. Its amazing and wonderful quite often, and a privilege to get to enjoy at all.3. In high school, I worked at a small, old, privately-owned, and barely-duct-taped-together old movie theater in Southern Illinois, on the Wabash river. I did every non-owner type task at this theater, over two summers, including projectionist. Loved it.4. For most of my adult life (Im 53 years old, male, proud & grateful American) Ive made my living, self-employed, providing technology services to small businesses.5. I pay close attention to whats going on around me. Sometimes I speak out.6. Finally, I may reach some conclusions or speak of other theaters in the area. I have no financial or family connection with any of these businesses.7. My motivation, to spend this much time, and to go into this much detail, is just the unbelievable sensation of “...you’ve absolutely gotta be kidding me…” feeling I had at this theater, seemingly begging me to not take it anymore and voice the disbelief, simply as a consumer, at the disregard for my hard-earned money.Ive posted pictures. They don’t tell the whole story, but an important representative one I think.My girlfriend and I came to see Endgame. Two tickets, for a regular screen, a bucket of popcorn and a drink was $40.67.We approached the kiosks/screens to the right to purchase our tickets there. There were no employees there, and it seemed like that whole side of the building had been raptured of AMC employees. There were some patrons milling around, but it appeared that all workers in that side of the front had abandoned their posts or possibly that Thanos had completed the Gauntlet a few hours prior to our arrival and had disintegrated at least half of the staff.The ticket kiosks incorrectly reported movie times, and would not allow us to pay for tickets there for our desired showtime. As we crossed the lobby, an employee, who seemed to be wearing normal street clothes, but I identified as staff due to a name tag, explained to us that the ticket kiosks are often wrong.OK, so, first impressions: abandoned, unkempt posts, and faulty technology. Having not walked into this theater for several months, it’s not a good way to start. In fact, I’m not sure if my last visit was an AMC one, or the previous operators. I don’t really know, and don’t really care. I came to relax, watch a great movie with the girlfriend and to throw some popcorn down my neck.We approached the Tickets and Refreshments side of the building. The neon signs above that area read something to that effect. There were employees who hadn’t been raptured or banished to an unknown dimension or realm by an evil...

I Took my niece thalere to see Frozen 2 (which she loved). Everyone was very nice and polite. My only complaints are that the theater was cold ( it was already a cold 41°outside and raining), and that the popcorn wasnt exactly fresh. I get that they have to keep it ready for all the customers that come in but there has to be a better way to keep it hot at least.

I think they need an upgrade for the seats. Their previews show much nicer and comfier seats. Other than that it was great.

The Coke Freestyle machine is a nice perk; love the atypical variety. Lots of alternative concession options, too. Just wish the theatres had the nice recliners like the competition does.

The woman working the bar is incredibly rude. I’ve had two encounters with her and she is consistently rude. Management must be confused and think I’m on the payroll because I have to do a lot of work, pay 20 plus dollars for popcorn and a drink then walk to another location to fill my own drink then walk to another location to fill my popcorn. Who thought this was a good idea? The seating is out dated compared to other local theaters, and best part of all... the bathroom floor was completely covered in urine!

AMC Stonybrook 20 has very comfortable seats very good customer service very clean bathrooms the best popcorn you will ever have. I saw Windows Sunday and it was a blast Im not going to tell you what happened but its very good. Also playing there is The Girl in the Spiders Web, A Star is Born, Dr. Seuss The Grinch, Robin Hood and The Crimes of Grindelwald and Ralph Breaks the Internet. A lot more stuff is playing this is just what I saw so far. All of them are very good.

Nice screen and good sound. But the seats are severely lacking. Youll get an extremely better experience for the same price at Tinseltown. Doubtful Id go to Stonybrook again.

A very average place to see a movie. They need to do a better job of sweeping the floors and cleaning up. I couldnt believe how filthy the place was including the bathrooms.

Its a fine movie theater. It does not have leather recliners but we were able to enjoy our movie. FYI, there are no free refills on a large popcorn unless youre part of their rewards program.

So much better now than it was 6 years ago. I actually really like this theater now which is something I never thought Id say.

No one took our ticket stubs, which could lead up to loss of revenue for the theatre if its a regular thing that happens there. The chairs were soft, but no elbow room whatsoever. And I felt that mine leaned back a but too far. And there is no sound proofing in theatre 10.. we got to hear the police sirens during Star Wars for a good 5 minutes... making it a bit hard to immerse yourself within the movie.. all in all an okay place to waste a few hours on a Saturday.

The movie started 3 min late. So, really a half an hour late to include previews. The restrooms were a complete mess. They had pee everywhere, and paper towels were all over the place. Literally looked liked no one had cleaned them in a couple days.

This was my first time at this theater and I likely won’t return. It’s not kept up well. The restrooms weren’t clean, the hallway floors were covered in popcorn and trash. You buy your tickets in the same line as refreshments, and it was a busy day and they only had 2 registers open for this, so the line was about 30 minutes long. They also still have the old style theater seats that don’t recline, which is fine, however our seats were no clean with things spilled on them.

5 star service in theater excellency! Employees are polite and dedicated to customer service and theater rooms are quite nice with cozy seating. Movie quality in regards to HD audio and visual are unbeatable! Bathrooms could use more janitorial tending but are otherwise decent.

AMC Premier members make this a great deal if youre going to see movies often. The place is usually not very crowded. There are no recliners or anything like that but a good movie theater without a bunch of crowds

Adams Family was great. I highly recommend. And no complaints about theater either.

Massive theater. Went to see a movie today, a matinee I guess you would say and I immensely enjoyed myself. Very clean and the workers there are friendly and helpful. Since I went at an odd time there were plenty of seat available but definitely comfortable. The food is a bit expensive but I think thats with all movie theaters but it was definitely good so I guess that balances it out. Will definitely return.

While some of their theater aisles can be kind of narrow, I love how they have the Coke machines (with free refills) for so many different flavors. I dont know if it is an advantage or disadvantage not to have seats to pick in advance. I do enjoy going there.

By combining the ticketing with the concession stand, it slows the process of getting into the theater. You cant get a small popcorn, and a regular size costs 8 bucks. This used to be my favorite theater, but not anymore.

The past two times weve been there the womens bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Just paid $40 bucks to see a movie and the place was dirty. On plus side the theater part was clean and seats were comfortable. Lobby, concession areas and womens room need to be scrubbed and attended to regularly!

This used to be a good spot to see a movie. Not anymore. They have people buying tickets and concessions in the same line, with three people working. We had to buy a later showtime. It was very dirty. Not rush time dirty, but dirty. Popcorn and liquids and butter all over the floors and counters. The lid dispensers were filthy to the point I didnt even want to grab one. The arcade took my money but didnt even work. The seats are still old school. Then when the movie was over, they didnt even turn the lights on. Everyone used their phone lights to walk out. And it was 32 dollars. Go to the mall theater or tinsletown.

One of the cleanest theaters Ive been to, and the chairs are so comfortable that you have to make sure your not sleepy when you go or you will most definitely fall asleep..

Wish they had reclining seats and could use morecstaff at refreshments cause takes awhile but good theater

Consistently one of the worst theater experiences you can have. Patrons always talk during the movie and the staff never does anything about it. Each screening room will be freezing even during winter. There is rarely ever an employee to take your ticket and you will have to tear your ticket yourself. If I didnt have AMC Stubs I wouldnt even come here. I am seriously considering cancelling my membership.

After eating at Jumbos, we went to see Jumanji: The Next Level! We got a Militarys discount which was really nice! Was really a treat taking my Wife and Grandsons to see this movie!

The movies was great! But the employee were not very nice. Once we got in the movies the guy in the front who collect the ticket told us where the movies room is and once we got sat down, once people came in they were carrying the 3D glasses and we didnt get one. So I went to get them and sat down. I noticed that the room we were in the wall is trashing and the carpet is coming off the wall as soon you walk in. The speaker is not very good. The chair not really comfortable. I rather spend my money to xcape movies theater.

Was invited to free screening of shaft 2. Omg it was the best movie ive seen in a long time. The lobby of the theater was very musty smelling. They may need to replace the carpet. But good experience for the most part. Thank you AARP for the invite

Watched the boku no hero movie and it was great except (Ive never had this happen before) the movie got really silent for some reason somone had to get up and tell the people. But other than that it was amazing

Went to see the movie Unplanned, I like how seating is reserved, bought my tickets online. The ticket taker was personable and helpful, which I appreciated. Theater is very clean and the seats are very comfortable, room temperature was very comfortable, I brought a jacket to wear but didnt need it. There were people seated directly in front of us but this did not obstruct our view in the least. The sound was at a very good level, not too loud. Parking was easy and ample even on a Friday night. A very pleasant experience.

While I didnt have any problems with the theater, got to give it 3 stars for the movie. Went to see Christmas vacation and much not surprising, it was not played with surround sound. It was hard to hear. Hard to watch a movie on the big screen with little audio. Definitely will save money and not go again to watch an older movie

Great place. Everyone was friendly. The snacks were too high ($21.00 for a drink and large soft pretzel) but it is a movie theater afterall and the ticket prices were very reasonable.

Ive been to many AMCs ... This one was severely understaffed plus it was very dirty ... At the ticket booth there was only one kiosk working plus not one person working the ticket booth. Hopefully someone reads this that can do something about it. Also I could have saved some money because no one was there to take our tickets so I could have just walked in.

Nice experience. The theater & restrooms were very clean. The concessions stand staff & ticket taker were friendly. The handicap accessible parking was perfectly situated for our needs. We dont go to movies much these days, but will definitely keep this theater in mind the next time we do.

Its way to cold in this movie theater! My hands were freezing! The Sound was to loud and People wouldnt Stop walking in front of others trying to enjoy the movie and People was talking during the whole movie and when I asked an employee to get proper authorities to control the situation they said nothing could be done about it

This might be the worst theatre experience in the city. It is dirty and the process of buying tickets and concession is a nightmare. Maybe if it was fully staffed things would have been different, but when there are two people it is about as inefficient as it gets.Considering my experience sounds like a lot of other peoples I doubt much changes, but with two people working concession and no one else in sight, a customer can walk right in the front and to the theatre of choice without spending money on a ticket. Does that change things?

This place was extremely cold today. It was warm in the main areas but the theater was freezing. Always super long lines too.

They literally never answer the phone. Like are you that understaffed where you have no one answering the phones. Always makes businesses look so bad.

Pretty busy, for a Tuesday. We enjoy $5 movies on Tuesdays. 630 show actually started at 655 after all the previews.

Went to go see IT the next chapter and it was awesome. The sound, the lights, the scary scenes. I recommend this to everyone who loves going to see movies with friends, family, partners, or just by yourself.

Movie theater was nice. Saw the movie in IMAX. Nice screen and good sound. Seen better though. The main reason for the three stars was because movie didnt start on time and on top of that delay there was about 30 minutes of previews and advertisements. Dont think Ive ever had to wait 30 minutes for the presentation movie to begin.

Went and saw the new Star wars movie here in IMAX. It was so hot we were all sweating. The theatre hadnt been cleaned very well between showings either because there was food on the floor and my son found a pocket knife in his cup holder. We paid online for our tickets, but still had to wait in line for drinks. Seemed really dumb to have the same line for tickets and concessions. The line was crazy long and took about 20 minutes just to get 3 cups. I guess were spoiled in Windsor Ontario because our theatres are nothing like this one.

Saturday afternoon at Stoney Brook and these A$$ hats are surprised again that a crowd shows up at precisely the times the movies are scheduled. One person at the concession stand, which is also the ticket booth. Line looks like Disney at Spring Break. This place is a cluster Faaaahk I will never darken its door again.

Stopped by your theater to see toy story 4. Waited in line a long time and finally made our way to the register. Got 2 standard tickets and 2 medium drinks with a large popcorn. $56!!??? Seriously I only wanted to watch the movie not purchase half of Hollywood! Pop machine was out of 1/2 the drinks so got stuck with a limited selection. Popcorn was terrible so I went back to get better popcorn and had to wait in line a second time. Second time around on popcorn wasn’t much better. Seats were uncomfortable as hell. Didn’t recline and cup holders was broken. Honestly I paid way less at other theaters and got much better seats and refreshments! I go often and average $13-17 per person per visit at many other theaters with better seats that recline. I can also promise you that the refreshments are WAY better. You guys might wanna reconsider you price and maybe remodel! Oh and turn the damn volume up!I WILL NOT BE BACK.

Came here for my birthday. Its 27 degrees out and feels like 40 degrees in here. I can barely pay attention to the movie

Large theatre with great food prep area and even alcohol choices. Even better it has an a list member line so you get helped faster. Theatre seats are rocking style but not recliners.

Nice theater... Check in line was short but the cashier took a long time with people before us so we was late sitting but it was fine because the movie premieres before movie is at least 15 minutes. But overall everything was good!!! Breakthrough was a great movie!!!!

My go to place for a movie. Very big and comfortable seating. Handicap access and parking. I use my app for convieniance to get right passed the line and to my seats without the wait.

Its been a while since I view a movie out so I was surprised with Stoneybrook going to fewer employees and more self serve. There were two employees handling everything and you get your drink cup when you buy your ticket. Which means if you but online, you still have to wait in the same ticket line when you arrive if you want a drink. Kind of takes away the benefit of purchasing online. My biggest problem was when I went to fill up the cup. Only one out of the first four machines were functioning. If you are going to go self serve, make sure the machines are working. But on a positive note, the seating was very nice and sound quality was also great.

I love to see movies and eat great tasting popcorn. I love the seating also.

Very nice! We hot right in, we had preordered our movie tickets so that helped a lot. It was clean and the movie was great!!! Twenty minutes of previews is a bit much but there are several coming we want to see.

Movie supposed to start at 7pm, they were still doing commercials. Previews started late. The sound WAS WAY TOO LOUD. We had to plug our ears because it was deafening. Womens bathroom was a mess. Not sure well go back there again. Movie was good, the place was not.

I havent been here in almost nine years, but i decided to take my daughter to see How to Train your Dragon. Buying tickets was easy but standing in the concession line took longer than i expected. It was a Friday night and they only had three workers working. I think standing in a line for 20 mins to get a drink and popcorn is a bit to long. They had one person working the premier line. One person making hot food and one girl taking all other orders. She was quick and had a smile but i think they should of had more people working. The girl that was taking all other orders was working quick, but i think that was a lot for one person, since there was over 30 people in line. I hope you all know how hard she was working and making everyone happy. She did a really good job. I didnt catch here name, but she was awesome.

Theatre accommodations were nice and clean, the seats and viewing screen were great, however, the prices of their drinks and snacks were more extreme than is typical of theatre food! Everything is very expensive so be prepared with lots of extra money if you want a treat with your movie!

Big theater with a good variety of options. You can tell it is a little old and not as comfortable as newer theaters but still a nice place. Go watch movies earlier in the day for a better price and almost no crowd. Bathrooms are always a little dirty

Today was our first and last visit. There is only one concession stand, the wait was over 20 minutes. Popcorn was burnt and tasted stale. The concession area was dirty as was the entire lobby area. One nice thing were the Coke Refill stations, so no standing in line for refills. However there were no lids and the floor around the machines were extremely sticky. The theater been were in was really small, space between seats is insanely tight, you cant cross your legs without kicking the seat in front of you. The movie sound was too low, and we could hear many guests asking what was just said. Overall, I would not recommend this theater. There are two other theaters in the area that are much nicer and worth the extra 5-10inute drive

Absolutely love this theatre. This is the theatre we usually go to whether its for a family fun day or just a date night. They have a great selection of food, snacks & drinks of all kinds as well as many different types of movies. As long as this place is open we will continue to visit.

They show first run movies, have variety of refreshments but seating needs updating and the place needs better cleaning.

The speakers in the theater were way too loud. My ears were ringing. Frankly, there was a comment made by one of the staff members who was taking the tickets I had just bought. He said, Ill be watching you, right after saying something about which theater the movie was in. Ill find a less expensive place to see a movie next time, where the staff is courteous and the speakers dont make your ears bleed.

Projector wasnt working clear until movie came on. None of the help was able to get things going. Bathroom lees than sanitary

There was a strong odor of raw sewage in the lobby area. No paper towels in restroom. Place is run down and dreary looking.

Buy tickets online to make it faster thru lines. Nice full bar. Seats dont full recline, but not bad at all.

So, not sure what the deal is, but both my son and I, (on two separate visits), ate the popcorn there, both came home and threw up all night. Food poisoning maybe? I was thinking its possible whatever chemicals they use to clean the popcorn machine, maybe its not getting rinsed off properly. Im not sure, however I am sure that no one in my family is brave enough to eat popcorn from here ever again. I highly advise against it. The 3D IMAX is great, we just will not be trusting concessions from there again.

I loved the theater period. The seats were comfortable. And the people were well behaved from the workers to the other movie patrons for the night it was an all around wonderful experience....

The only full price movie theater in Louisville this still has the old non reclining seats.
