Capitol Records was built to look like a stack of records on a record player. Its an amazing building where legends have recorded. This is a must-see Hollywood experience. Also, The Beatles have their stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in front of the building on Vine Street.George Vreeland Hill

Historical marker inscription:The worlds first circular office structure was designed to resemble a stack of 45 rpm records. Artists recording in its studios since its completion in 1956 have included such luminaries as Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Peggy Lee, Dean Martin, the Beatles, and the Beach Boys. The rooftop beacon flashes Hollywood in Morse Code. The architects were Welton Beckett & Associates.Marker erected by Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.Note: This marker has a mistake. The building was not designed to resemble a stack of records. The photo on the marker features a scale model of the building presented by Frank Sinatra. This is Los Angeles City Historic Monument No. 857.

A great Hollywood landmark, the Capitol Records building! Capitol Records, has a phenomenal history in the music industry and has signed many of the most talented names in the music industry! Capitol Records, also has one of the most state-of-the-art recording studios in the basement and is known for its acoustical dynamics! Located on vine and yucca, if the Hollywood area be sure to stop by, or at least get some pictures!

While I dont think that the building is open to the general public, if your near Hollywood and Vine, its worth the short walk. So many incredible musicians have used their studios over the decades that you must at least look up and envision these artists recording their music in the studios above.

I do NOT enjoy taking the 405 FWY NORTH. Tbis is what happens when trucks drop heavy equipment en route. I was directly behind him recently and my car ran over a piece of metal on the freeway. It was extremely scary and obviously dangerous. Be careful on these roads everyone. God bless you all.

Hmmm, kinda weird situation. The guards are very hangry 24/7 and act as if its area 51. The building itself is wow and amazing, I do love the way it looks. However, to get inside youve to get thru THE BOSS (yeah yeah, our previously mentioned lords of the tower). I do believe they do their job, but they couldve been kinder, you know. Giving 5 stars for the building itself. Cant add anything more. Peace ️
