100% awesomeness!!. A friend of mine told me about this tour and said next time Im back take this tour. What an extraordinary experience these guys deliver. One of the people running the show is Hodari, father of The Game one of the best rap artists around. Along with O.Gs Steve & Mike, these guys got you covered. They all know the streets cause thats where they are from. Steve was our guide for the day and we had some great laughs and learned some interesting information as we went. I took my son to let him see firsthand how life can be, the adversary that people overcome to make something happen in their life or the community. Went by every member of N.W.As house where they grew up, Easy Es mama is still there not wanting to move and we met his nephew as well because Steve knows everyone lol...Went through the infamous intersection of Florence and Normandie where the L.A riots kicked off and where Reginald Denny was yanked from his truck. Went to Watts and saw the towers, looks so different with all the fences and construction. Steve took us to a liquor store (Huberts) so we could quench our thirst and smash a spliff on the tour, all accepted on the ride thru the hood. Went by where Suge Knight ran people over in the driveway(Tams) and the last Roscoes he ate at before getting booked. Marathon company is off the hook, met Nipseys brother Sam and his Dad and bought half the store lol...Well informed and totally safe the whole time and never felt outta place. Total eye opener about everything really, learned about the horrible schooling situation and how these people have a slim to none chance to better themselves from the very start. My heart goes out to every man, woman and child that struggles to keep their head above water in this game of life that is rigged...A big thank you to all involved. My sons eyes were opened as were mine. Highly highly recommend. I cant say enough good things about these gentlemen. I would honestly do it again, much respect for your time and stories. Beers and blunts on me next time Im in town lmao.

Did this tour last year and completely forgot to leave a review! Hands down the best tour I have ever done. We were the only two people who showed up for the designated tour time and 100% thought we were going to be turned away due to there not being enough people, but sure enough big mike pulled through and took us on a private tour that went for close to 4 hours! Awesome time. Our guide was Steve. He was really cool. Took us through the hoods and a few places where movie scenes were filmed. We rode by the marathon store where Nipsey Hussle was recently killed at. Also ended up running into one of eazy e’s son while riding by his childhood home. He was really nice spoke to us and let us take his picture. Loud music that relates to area we were in and great info on area. Also in California recreational as well as medicinal marijuana is legal so smoking is allowed on the tour if you are a smoker. The car is bulletproof so no worries about safety. Even stopped at a few spots to take pics or get a closer look. Really enjoyed it.

I was in L.A. celebrating my birthday and after seeing this tour on YouTube I knew this was something I wanted to experience. Plus my sister likes to visit the hood in what ever city we visit so this was probably the safest route for us this time lol. Purchasing the tickets were simple. A couple of clicks and youre all set. The booth on Hollywood Blvd was easy to find. Our tour guide for that day was Steve. He did a wonderful job. He gave in depth stories of the sites he took us too. He didnt have a problem with answering only questions that were asked. And he definitely didnt miss a beat when it came to the music while riding around. We also stopped by The Marathon Store. When we first got there it was eerie feeling but once I started to look around a calm feeling or spirit came over me, it was just something about being there. But overall we had a good time. If you looking for something different to do while visiting this is definitely the move. Oh and did I mention this tour is 420 friendly!!

An authentic trip which goes into the dark recesses of LA life. It provides a unique insight into gang culture and how this environment makes for a fertile ground for the creation of best (hip-hop) music of the last 30 years. Be ready to be shocked by this experience. Steve turns this story of music and violence into an art form through talking about stuff and playing clips through the vehicles superb sound system. A must for hip-hop gurus, music lovers, historians and social activists! We can only hope that music triumphs over violence and young men and women can go to bed feeling safe, and can just get on with their lives. Love music, hate violence!!!

We did the package deal (hood life and Hollywood tour) The hood life tour was conducted by Steve. He was very personable, had the insiders view of all the neighborhoods. He showed us the homes and locations where movies were made and where rappers lived. He used sound affects that included music from rappers and movie lines from YouTube which added a theatrical affect. He answered all our questions no matter how trivial or uninformed we were. He shared personal Information about himself which added an authenticity to the tour.He had great patience and did not rush through the tour. He was friendly and we felt safe and comfortable. Also, He took us to the upper scale minority communities which balance out our tour. Definitely request Steve as your tour guide. On our second part of the tour, our Tour guide was Tomar. He was also very pleasant young man. He took us to upper scale homes, the Hollywood sign and point out different homes of actors and actresses. He showed us over 20 celebrity houses. I got to see Kendrick Lamar, Dr.Dre, and Eazy-E’s home. We also went to where Biggie was shot and where a TON of black movies have been filmed over the years. If I could give this tour 0 stars, I would. I booked a tour 1 month in advance only to have my tour cancelled the day of. I booked the tour for 11am and I received a text 2 days prior to the tour to tell me I had to change the reservation time because of Nipsey Hussle’s funeral. Out of respect for the situation, I switched my time to 3:30 pm. On the day of the tour, I received a call 40 mins prior to the departure time to tell me to be there at 3 instead. Even if I wanted to be there at 3pm, I couldn’t because my hotel was an hour away. I tried to explain this to the tour guide, but instead of listening, he told me he would issue me a refund and hung up on me. At this point, I was very frustrated and upset. I called back and he didn’t answer. When he finally called me back, he was very rude and unprofessional on the phone. He wasn’t apologetic about the situation at all, even though it was his fault. How is it that you switch the time, not once, but three times and get loud and combative with me? I showed up when he told me to, but yet he cancelled my tour because I wouldn’t show up earlier than the time we agreed upon. He eventually issued me a refund. I would not recommend this tour to anyone. The owner is very rude and this whole thing is a SCAM!
