Love this splash pad. Great for kids of all ages and adults too!

This was Lilys birthday party at splash park. Was fun water was a little warm but kids loved it just the way it was!!!

We had a awesome birthday party for our 5 year old grandson here it was clean and safe and wheelchair accessible 100% they had such a wonderful time I would only recommend sunscreen ... we definitely will be going back in the future its a great place to cool down and relax with your kids ...and free was a plus thank you city of Lexington for the experience!!

Great place for kids! The splash pad is fenced in so no fear of little ones running off. I would have given 5 stars if it werent for the ants and the restrooms needing some attention. It is free, has shade and feels safe.

All these reviews were probably in the warmer months, but when I went there with my 5 year old, there was no one there but some rough looking old men walking around the park occasionally and it’s not really in a great part of Lexington. I didn’t exactly feel 100% safe. Yet, I am a bit over protective, so maybe it’s just me being alone there with my kid and puppy and it made me a paranoid momma.Despite all that though, the park is very cool, regardless of the fact that the water park isn’t open since it’s December. However, I wish it was placed in a better part of town. I also wish Lexington had a freaking dog park!

Over hyped and much too small. Fine for locals and free, though. Cant say Id waste another trip out there again. Definately not worth it.

Splash pad is free to visit. The water area is fenced in so great for younger children. There is a shower(outside) when you first walk in the gate to wash off your feet before you play. There is wheelchair accessible bathrooms /changingroom very spacious. There is 2 large shelters (with roof) for parties or seating. A nice playground with unique toys. Large parking area & basketball goals up on the hill.

Came from Durham to this sprinkler park i must say its absolutely beautiful nice and clean and gated my 4 year old and 9 year old had a blast stood here about 3 hours the whole park to our self will come again!!

We love the free Splash Pad... Clean bathrooms, covered seating, shower for pre and post water fun. Wheel Chair accessible. Great place to bring the whole family. Completely fenced in with magnetic locks.

Great place, we had a birthday party here and it had everything to accommodate the whole family. The basketball court seemed kinda sketchy; however, the splashpad was well maintained and the picnic areas were clean and more than large enough to fit 50 people in. The restrooms were cleaned and overall the entire experience was a good one. It is free so that is always a plus. Will definitely return in the future with the family should the need arise. Thank you Washington Park for the memorable time with our family that will stick for years to come.

As fun as the splash pad and playground are at this park, it isnt worth it for the obvious lack of upkeep. To be frank, its rather disgusting. The picnic area is completely infested with ants, the trashcans are covered in them. The floor is so gross, its slimy to walk on. The same goes for the bathrooms. My dad, who is allergic to ants, went and put something in the trashcan, which is nothing more than your regular can you take to the street, and then found himself covered in ants from shutting the lid too hard. We were going to have a lovely picnic but ended up having to leave due to the ants and flies. This parks only redeeming factor is the phenomenal splash pad and playground.

Clean bathrooms but need to keep supplied with toilet paper and hand soap. We loved it first time here so will be bringing my kids back.

My kids had a great time. Its free so thats always a plus. It really is a great place for toddlers to roam free and be cool in the water. Needs a maintenance person there, but other than that couldnt ask for more for a free place like that!

Needs more tables and a grill would be nice too

Ok I leave up the street from Washington park and every time I go by there I get a e mail I HAVE NO IDEA HOW GOOD OR BAD IT IS, BUT I DO SEE ALOT OF PEOPLE THERE ALSO CHURCH BUSES AND Day care

Grandbabies love this water park

This place is great for kids who love water. The playground is ok but there is no shade anywhere. The tables are fairly far away from where the kids play.

Public restrooms are not marked and need some care. Splash pad is spacious and clean, playground for after water play, basketball court and walking trail. Covered shelter for parents to watch, plenty of space to set up a camp chair.

Wonderful spot to take kids. The splash pad is perfect for little toddlers because they fenced in and can run free with less worry. Never a large crowd of people either.

Alot of drug activity that I have seen also and women selling sex. Its awful do police not see this and the house s Ive seen in front are drug and alcohol houses too. This should be taken care of kids play here. D.A.R.E program needed here.
