This is a great park to stop and unwind at.Very clean and well kept.There is a playground here for the children to keep them entertained.Lots of parking and lake views that are spectacular!Piers are located close to the parking lot.Places to set down and take a load off are at various spots within the park. I think we all need to spend a few moments here.Definitely family oriented here.

This is a beautiful spot for a relaxing day out! Perfect for riding in your boat, feeding the ducks, or standing on the pier soaking up the sun! There is a nice playground for kids and plenty of area to go walking! Also a great place to grill out! I do hate they close so early in the evenings.

Best place around for kayaking and canoeing! The lake has very very little current and very little boat traffic to contend with.Be aware that this is a county run lake and has a minimal fee (cash only)!$2.00 per vessel non fishing and an additional $1.00 if you intend to fish!It is also a NO SWIMMING lake....they do have a very nice park and picnic area. Parking is very good for those with trucks and boat trailers. The lake is not suited for large boats as its divided in two by a low road bridge. Plus the majority of the water ways are low speed zones!!

Great place to go spend the afternoon, to relax and get some good fresh air for your lungs, its very enjoyable, to eat, or sit with someone and chat about life. I recommend this place. Pretty view. Feels comfortable. It has a park for the kids. I like it

Love this place. Especially when the perch bite. You can sometimes get on a school of them from the shore. Ive had most luck with nightcrawlers.

Beautiful small lake, lots of little dink bass with some nice lunkers hidden in between. Kayak rentals, bait shop etc. Excellent hidden gem!

Very nice park with the cleanest restrooms I have EVER seen at a park. Plenty of picnic tables and cookout spots. 3 different fishing piers and lots of shore lines for fishing and feeding ducks and geese. Large playground. Gates close at 5

Very calm and relaxing location, complete with a playground, fishing piers (4), bate/tackle shop, covered picnic tables, multiple drinking fountains, and a decent walking trail.Closes to the public at 8:30 PM, but otherwise is a wonderful place to relax, especially on weekdays.

Really a wonderful place to take it easy and enjoy what nature has to offer.

No fish stayed 3 hrs fished with: nightcrawlers, chicken gizzards, chicken livers, shrimp, red worms, even artificial lures. nothing biting but had a good time its not about what you catch its about the quality time with your family

Very nice little spot for family picnic, bbq, and fishing. I really liked how close the office is to all the shelters incase you need anything.Must go and have fun. Beware, there might be snakes. A person saw a baby copperhead today while we were there. Everyone got freaked out but it didnt show up again.

Really nice lake. Saw a few fishing boats out on the water. There are a few small piers for fishing. Not super sturdy. A good playground for kids. You have to pay $2 at the bait shop if you want to fish from the pier or bank. $4 to put it in a boat and $2 for a kayak. Went in the afternoon and there was a good amount of people there but not crowded.

My family enjoys this park. We like using the nature trail, docks for fishing, playground, and visiting the geese and ducks. Everything is well maintained and the visitors always remain family friendly no matter how crowded it seems to get. I wish this place would get more funding for how much it seems to be used. The parking lot is small, would be awesome to add to the playground with the great space provided, and really wish the trail could be more of a loop somehow rather than a dead end.

Kids love it. Shady spots outside of the play area but not inside, which is a bummer on hot days.

Good fishing and you can get a kyak rental at a fair price along with fishing gear they had a wonderful part for the kids and peers and picnic tables for cookout and family reunions wonderful place

Great, my son participated in a youth fishing derby. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They came around several time offing ice cold bottles waters and juice pouches for the kids. Lunch was provided at no charge and all the kids got treat bags with tackle packs.

Boat launch. Can also paddle kayaks and canoes. Picnic shelters. Cool little playground for the kids. Wish Davidson. County would build a multi-purpose trail/path/dirt road around it.

Great spot for fishing. No pleasure boaters, no swimmers, and great fish. Caught a blue catfish today. Friendly staff at the store near the boat ramp.

Since this park is near our house we visit it frequently. The playground is large and well kept. There are several nice picnic shelters as well. It is a nice place to feed the ducks and while I don’t fish, there are plenty of opportunities for that here. They have recently opened a nature trail around part of the lake. We have explored part of the trail but have not seen the extent yet. It is rough but in the early stages of development.

This is a big, beautiful lake. Shelters and walking trails are nice. Big parking lot and boat ramp.

This was my first time on this trail. It rained lightly this morning, but hasnt rained for many days before and the trail was somewhat sloppy even despite recent dry weather. I was very disappointed in the drainage maintenance and the fact that in spots it looks like a 4 wheeler trail more than a hiking trail. Why is a 4 wheeler riding on this trail when it is wet? It is creating bad drainage and erosion and spots impassable for walkers. It is a beautifully laid out trail and the original build looks great, drainage maintenance would be an easy task but is sorely lacking.

Lovely place to go on the nature walk trail with dogs,children,friends,etc..They have markers to describe what you may see along the way as well. You can fish here for a $2 00 fee (and fishing license of course),enjoy grilling as the grills are already there, picnic areas,and a playground the kids will love.There is a boat ramp with fee and a nest of Eagles you may get lucky to see fly by. No fees except for fishing and boating as stated already. Lovely park, no trash anywhere, clean bathrooms, ducks and geese everywhere. Doggy bags provided for doggy poop as well. Whats not to love!!! Get over there ASAP and enjoy the fresh air and lake!

Beautiful views, lots of covered picnic tables and a nice breeze. Not too crowded for a Saturday afternoon.

This park is fun! The swings are pretty cool and in good condition and the view of the lake is pretty nice. If you go during the day time during the summer I would take plenty of water or refreshments for the kids. There is a water fountain but when there are a lot of kids they all have to wait to take turns. We didnt walk the trail but there is one.

Great place to take the kids for an outing or a great place to sit & relax with your adult friends. (Great playground for the kids)

The park itself was not very well maintained. The trails were not either. The bathrooms were clean but very cold, and had no soap. The lake is lovely, but no one keeps this place up. It could be a great park but.

I love this lake because it has a lot for families. There is a park for small children and a boat launch. There are public restrooms and we always take our dogs on the trail that goes around the lake

Very clean and family friendly.

Rented kayaks and had an enjoyable time. It is very pretty. There were a lot of herons, and even saw a snake in the water which startled me. The boaters close by got a big laugh out of it. I got a bit of water in the kayak trying to get away. It all turned out good. Look forward to visiting again.

A beautiful place with a nice sized kiddie play area, a great place for a cook-out, birthday parties and celebrations with shelters. Very nice lake with fishing piers and a beautiful view from every corner.

Good fishing

The parking area is too small. There are too many spaces meant for boats with trailers. The view of the lake is nIce. There are 4 covered picnic areas with grills that looked nice, reservations recommended. Saw 3 picnic tables close together near the main road. Would rather they be away from the road and under some trees.Saw 3 wooden docks to fish from. Tried several wooden benches that were very uncomfortable. More benches that are comfortable would be appreciated. Theres a large playground.Theres a new nature trail through the woods which is still very uneven and muddy so would be difficult with strollers and isnt wheelchair or walker friendly. Not recommended for anyone with balance issues. Couldnt find a description of the trail on the Web site so no idea how long the trail will be and what improvements will be made. Recommend gravel or bark mulch to help with mud, and have the trail be more level so its easier to walk on.

OMG this is the place to go with family. Playground is cool. Fishing, several places to grill out with covered areas for eating. Just an all around great place for the family.

This is a great family friendly park with a lake, a place to fish, a boat launch ramp, it also has a place to buy your bait. The park is terrific with a fence around it so that the kids are always safe and in view. The picnic tables all have covered gazebo and grills. This is one of my favorite places to bring the kids in Davidson County.
